Ramada by Wyndham Red Deer Hotel & Suites

We had left home late only to find out our campsite in Drumheller closed earlier than expected. While on the road, I got onto Bookking.com found Ramada in Red Deer, called to ensure they had a pet friendly room available, then completed the one night booking on Bookking.com. We were SO impressed, that after checking into the Drumheller campsite where we could leave the dog as we toured the museum, we cancelled the campsite (no refund) and rebooked a second night at the Ramada in Red Deer (we were headed west to camp in the Rockies next). The only downside was that I had again called to ensure they had a pet friendly room available. The person I spoke to sounded irritated but said the room we had the previous night was available. When we arrived, we were booked into a room on the 4th floor - with a dog! Fortunately the person at the desk was able to make the change and we had the same room on the 1st floor as we had the previous night. Breakfast was great as well. Eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles and more...rather than muffins and packaged stuff to go. I am SOOO very impressed by the Ramada and will consider booking with them on future trips.

Hot breakfast with lots of options for food and drink. Pool. Decent location.

Rooms were run down, paint pealing rough worn bathtub that didn't properly drain, partially repainted in spots on room but never finished and different colours. . Breakfast was not actually "hot". Pillows were extremely thick and hard. Other guests stated the same to us. (Glad we had our own along as we were spending some nights camping on trip). Hotel next door was same price and new and much nicer where my sister stayed. Did not feel like a Wyndham Hotel but no name.

Breakfast was great, staff was super friendly. Pool was great for the kids, Always had towels. Everything was clean. Very family friendly. I liked that they had family room options with bunk bed in a seperate room. Price was budget friendly.

The room was out dated. It had a musty smell to it. The chairs in the room had stains on it. The bedding was clean but it was stained. The room itself needed a renovation. This had no reflection on the friendliness and of the staff and the overall atmosphere. The lock on the door was finicky and it took several attempts for it to work and we constantly had to get a new key.

the bed was very comfy, and we also enjoyed the fact that the floor only had a few rooms on it so we had no disturbances. it was a perfect size for us and everything worked well. we never had the chance try our breakfast, but i’m sure it was great too.

we were here for the cfr, so it was kind of out of the way for any taxi, etc; that’s not your guys fault, it’s just something to think about for next year. something that we also noticed is our room smelled a lot like cigarette smoke.

The breakfast was very good. We enjoyed the spa tub. Front counter and house cleaning staff were very pleasant and friendly. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. With the number of children that were in the hotel during our stay we were pleasantly surprised to find that our room was very quiet and we were not woken by any loud noises from the hallway or from outside.

It would have been nice to have a walk in shower, since the room has a spa tub, a bathtub in the bathroom is not really necessary.

The location. The pool had a fast water slide. The hot breakfast was very good. Lots to eat for all ages.

The hot tub was not working. There was a fire alarm at 9pm the one night, no staff came to let us know what was happening or to reassure patrons that it was under control. We were all standing at the muster point waiting for answers and reassurance.

The breakfast was decent at hot, there was a decent amount of options and I liked that it was available until 10am. The staff were great!

It was disappointing that the hot tub wasn't working and it won't be for quite some time. I don't recall seeing that mentioned on booking.com but maybe I missed it.

the property was dated but very well taken care of and clean. the water slide and pool was a lot of fun. the rooms were clean and the bed were comfortable. The hot breakfast was good too. We liked having the Tim Hortons right in our parking lot.

No electrical outlet for the lamp on bedside table. Main living area in the suite was alittle dark

Wicked price compared to other hotels we have stayed in that we’re not as nice .

Didn’t like that the hot tub wasn’t available. Did not like how continental breakfast was served to me by someone.
