Northbury Hotel and Conference Centre

Excellent value for money. Staff is very friendly. Hot breakfast served. Room is very comfy.

Marina at the front desk was extremely friendly and professional with a nice smile after a long drive that's always nice to see. Breakfast was a big surprise.... everything that you could want, the lovely ladies served coffee when we needed it, with big smiles I might add not difficult to tell that they really love their job.... checkout was a breeze, unfortunately I didn't get the Lovely lady's name at the desk but she was just as friendly as Marina.

Our 1st floor room was fine the only thing is it's very close to the fire escape door, which is good except that it's also the door that people go out to have a smoke in the back so the door would open and shut but I have to say by midnight it was silent so that's great. For the next time we would make sure that we do not get that particular room. Although there were a lot of pillows on the bed, perhaps five they were a little flat, but we made do!

The bedroom was super clear and modern (very similar to what we see in the pictures). We stayed in the first floor and I believe these rooms were all renovated. Like mentioned several time, yes, breakfast is above average for these types of hotels.

The bathroom is a bit small and only one person fits in it at the time (not a big problem though). I wish the breakfast were a bit more healthy (or more healthy options). Fruits were great. The main issue was the noisy people on the corridor in the middle of the night. Maybe let guests know that everything they do / say in front of rooms can be heard as if they were inside.

The room was clean, well laid out, comfortable, easy access to our room all staff were exceptional The buffet breakfast was awesome, great choices, the young man who was there provided excellent service, the young lady who was serving tea and coffee was absolutely wonderful, great service respectful and had a fantastic attitude, very efficient with a humble spirit

The only thing was there was a young family next to us and the child started crying at 6 in the morning and the insulation was not that great, especially as our room had a door that could be used to adjoin our rooms

We stayed in three different rooms during our stays. We stayed three different nights. The rooms were clean and the beds comfy. Our last night there we had a King bed room on the second floor with a walk-in shower and a love-seat, much nicer room. The included breakfast each morning was very good and well appreciated. The staff were all very nice and friendly. The cleaning staff were all very happy and very friendly and the girls at the front desk were awesome and very helpful with little problems we had. The hotel is in a perfect location if you are taking the Budd car from Sudbury to White River. If we made this trek again, we would most definitely stay at the Northbury Hotel.

The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast was excellent and the server went over and above to 'make our day.' The beds were comfortable and the room which was large and clean included a frig, microwave and coffee maker. We were able to leave the car at the hotel for the day in between our two visits when we took the train to White River and back. The hotel was only a 10 minute walk to the railway station.

In order to walk to the train station or to an area where there were eating places, you have to cross four lanes of a very busy highway. There are no traffic lights and nowhere in either direction to make a safe crossing. Crossing is particularly challenging at rush hours.

All of the staff were helpful and friendly. The food in the dining room was good at dinner. Breakfast had enough variety but the food was cool to cold (when we asked we were told that the warmers were broken). The décor seemed updated.

The hotel was chosen with location in mind and it was indicated as central. However, it was on a busy road with no sidewalks and it was impossible to walk anywhere from the hotel meaning we needed a cab for absolutely everything. It would have been very helpful to know that in advance. I was a bit surprised that in a three night stay there was no cleaning or fresh towels ever.

Does it need a few repairs? Sure. Could it be a little updated? Sure. Was it a comfortable sleep in a clean bed, clean room? Yes! Microwave and fridge in the room was a great bonus, some hotels don't provide microwaves anymore. The staff were very friendly. Full buffet style complimentary breakfast in the morning was amazing. Great location, close to downtown but not too close. Vending machine, ATM and restaurant on site.

Bathroom was small, it would be easier if the door opened out into the room rather than into the bathroom. Had to straddle the toilet to close the door.

Very clean room and comfortable bed. Loved the quartz top in the bathroom. Wonderful breakfast, absolutely delicious bacon, and a good variety of other warm breakfast options! The serving lady was very very nice. Staff at reception also kind and polite.

The bathroom was very small, extending it even by a foot or two would make such difference to the level of comfort. The ceiling was on the low end so the shower head is kinda at your face level if you are medium height. (Not tall people inclusive, eh?). I wish there was an option to have dim lights in the bathroom. Also be mindful, because the walls are paper-thin, you can hear even how someone whispers.

Easy to find; nicely renovated; lots of parking with large spots for big trucks; the room was a good size; didn’t have to figure out a password; they accommodated pets; staff were very kind and accommodating; the breakfast was excellent with more warm items than expected.

Bathroom was small; toilet was not anchored properly or something as it shifted as you sat down; there cobwebs on the ceiling around the fan…these were minor issues that did not really damper our stay.
