TownePlace Suites by Marriott Sudbury

We searched specifically for a hotel with a pool that would be entertaining for the children and parents. There was a large (heated room temperature) pool with a fabulous slide and a fun and personable lifeguard to make the experience even more comfortable and fun. Overall very pleased and will certainly book here again. We stayed with 2 adults and 3 kids (13, 10 and 5) in a single room with queen bed and sofa bed and we’re happy and comfortable for our one night stay!

It was beyond their control, people left with pool towels so towels were limited. People leave your pool towels!! :) Also my 5 year old was a few inches too short for the slide but all for safety so understandable :) keep the slide and the precautionary measures! :)

Breakfast was way above hotel average. When you say that you are pet friendly you really mean it. Often with a pet I am given a second rate room and treated as a second rate guest. I did not feel any of that. The room was clean and well maintained, and I appreciated the extra touches like the pet treats and the grassed area set aside for potty breaks.

Well, there was teams of kids streaming down the hall, sitting and screaming outside our door. I understand that would be more than likely any hotel I stayed in when there are tournaments in town, but gee, can parents not be requested to treat other guests with respect. Hot tub was supposed to be 2 guests at a time. I counted 7 kids in there at one time. Never got to use it. Next time I would request a room on the back as there was traffic noise from the front of the hotel.

The staff at this hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. This was one of the only hotels that we've stayed at during the pandemic that included a hot breakfast! Most just have a bag ready with muffins and fruit. We loved that the rooms have a full kitchen with dishwasher,full size fridge and even a stove top.We also loved the fact that we could borrow board games and cards!

The only thing that I would have to say that was a bit of a dissatisfaction was the size and depth of the pool. But the waterslide is a bonus!

Hotel is great. Location is great. Room is great.

The light over the dining table was not bright enough to read by. Tried to move the lamp over, but the plug under the table didn't work.

Breakfast was good, it was really nice to have hot options. My mom is 87 and she was very happy which is rare.

If you are coming in from Sudbury to the east you can’t get into the parking lot. I went further east to turn around and when I did it was into a parking lot that said private no u turns so obviously this is not a new issue.

There were old socks in the fold out bed which I noticed while stretching Some honey or food sauce on the front of the couch that got on my pants when I first arrived

The fold out couch had an old sock hanging out from the bottom and a sticky substance on the front of it.

The room was nice. It had a bathtub. It was well equipped and had everything I needed

The hot tub didn't work and there was construction right outside my window

Our stay was very nice. I liked the size of the suite. We were able to do dinner for 4 adults and 3 children under 5 and because we had access to plates, cutlery, strainer etc. I had brought my crock pot with spaghetti and meat balls with the confidence of knowing that we had everything else in our room. The front counter staff and the cleaning staff were always polite and communicated well with everyone they met :) Our children live a 5 minute drive away so we are able to come be with them and then retreat to our suite for down time.

We wish the pool slide would have been opened earlier. Understandably with Covid things have changed, but with the slide only being opened from 5-8 and a limited people in the pool it meant that getting in to play was near impossible for guests as the number was 10 people. I also wished the pillows were better quality. Our pillows were very small and had lost their umph from being squished up and balled up to make them comfy ( could never acheive comfy with them.)

Room was clean. Beds comfortable. You need an additional chair in each room so 4 people can sit without sitting on bed

The seating in the breakfast / bar room were not comfortable—/ just overused. Time to update!!!

breakfast was excellent 6am start instead of 630 would be better and give me more time
