Excelsior Chamonix Hôtel & Spa

Very nice Hotel with grand views of the Mont Blanc. The Spa has Jacuzzi, Hamam, Sauna and a relaxing area + the pool has views of the mountains. The breakfast has everything you need to start the day and the dinner is also very tasty (might be a bit pricey as there is no other option around the Hotel to go for food)

The handling of the bathrobes in the Spa could be improved. After every visit they will be washed which is not really eco friendly. It would be better to give a personal bathrobe to every hotel guest, so they can decide to reuse it or not. Also makes the way to the Spa more relaxed.

This hotel is nice and in a very beautiful area, surrounded by Alps and a refreshing forest. Location of the hotel is great, close to Chamonix resort. We also enjoyed walking around property and enjoying the fresh air. The reception staff was really nice, kind and polite, very friendly. The room was big and clean, with a nice view and basic toiletries. The beds were big and comfortable. The breakfast is served in a nice restaurant with view over the surrounding mountains, with direct access from the hotel. When is warmer outside, the breakfast can be enjoyed on the terrace, near the pool. A big plus is the spacious parking in front of the hotel, free of charge. We hope to come back!

Breakfast is tasty, but very basic, it could be more varied so that you have a choice. They also could pay more attention to details, for example, the mirror form the closet in the room was broken.

I really love the hotel, the spa facilities were great and the breakfast was amazing.Tge swimming pool is heated and with amazing views. The free bus from Chamonix is only 5min away so it's super easy to get there.

The TV is all in french, I asked if they could check the remote for a language option but apparently it didnt have that option, with so many people visiting it's a bit of a shame that you can't change the language of the tv or be able to put netflix.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the excelsior chamonix Hotel and spa, and I can confidently say that it was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I was struck by the hotel's elegance and attention to detail. The staff was friendly, Antonio was so courteous, and went out of their way to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. My room was spacious, well-appointed, and immaculately clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept like a baby each night of my stay. The bathroom was luxurious, with high-end toiletries and fluffy towels. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's spa. The services were simply outstanding, with a wide variety of options that catered to all needs. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was relaxed and sophisticated. The hotel's amenities were equally impressive. The pool was a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. The spa was also top-notch, offering a range of treatments that left me feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. Finally, the location of the hotel was ideal. It was centrally located, making it easy to explore the city and visit all of the major attractions. At the same time, it was tucked away from the main street, ensuring that it was peaceful and quiet. Overall, I cannot recommend the excelsior chamonix Hotel and spa highly enough. From the exceptional service to the luxurious accommodations and amenities, it truly exceeded all of my expectations. I cannot wait to return and experience it all again.

absolutely fantastic stay! From the moment of arrival staff were attentive and friendly, reception was clean, bright and welcoming. rooms were ample, clean and comfortable and views from the balconies were mesmerising! Food in restaurant was delicious and wine list was extensive with good pairings for the diverse menu available. Spa was great also- what better than jacuzzi and sauna after a long day on the slopes. The massage options were also extensive. Thanks you for the fantastic ski break! we are definitely coming back!

The location is so beautiful quiet and so picturesque. We got the family room with a balcony overlooking the Mont Blanc Mountain and the woods. It was lovely watching the train passing in front of us. The smell of pines is mesmerizing and the sound of nearby water streams. The pool was beautiful and the rooms are nicely decorated. Fabian at the reception was so sweet to help us with all our queries. However, this is a beautiful hotel to stay and enjoy a Chamonix away from the crowds of the town center. We will surely visit again!

The family rooms are nice and good enough for 4 people but there is no Wi-Fi and my kids were very unhappy to constantly having to go to the lounge to grab some internet coverage. The room cleaning is horrible, they arranged the beds once and cleaned the bathrooms only once during the stay. There is no AC in the rooms so if you are unlucky with a hot day you will not be able to sleep without opening the window.

Lovely location with pool, underground parking available for a fee (which we opted for) and only 10 minute drive from centre Charmonix. Also available to us for the duration of our stay was free train and bus passes with either station available within a few minutes walk. The complete hotel felt refreshed and clean. Very nice breakfast with a good choice. All staff are very polite and helpful.

WiFi reception not the best at the rear of the hotel (next to railway) but otherwise great elsewhere.

I was there for 4 days hence why I didn't need cleaning I had DND during the entire time(give housekeeping a break) but I did dare to ask for a tea bag, it was a lot of questioning over it by staff, they offered me a €4 tea bag😂. I just wanted the tea bags that are usually replaced during cleaning but that was a hell of a ride

The room with mountain view and balcony was superb. Beautiful view and very comfortable, set in a peaceful location, we slept very well. Breakfast was very, very good- a wide range of choice, and well worth the money. The pool area was well kept, and the pool temperature was spot on. Staff are excellent and very friendly.

We were excited to dine here for the evening as breakfast was so good, but the evening dinner was slightly disappointing for the price. Shame as the hotel was almost excellent, this was the only negative we had.
