Le Faucigny - Hotel de Charme

The hotel had a lovely relaxed vibe, we felt really at home here. The staff were so friendly and helpful and all seemed to really enjoy making our stay comfortable. Our room was huge (very helpful as we had our bikes)and opened onto the little courtyard garden, ideal for some relaxing downtime. Very comfy bed and great shower. The free sauna and jacuzzi were a great addition. Lots of lovely little touches made the stay so welcoming e.g. coffee and cake available to help yourself to in the afternoon. Breakfast was really good quality and plentiful. The central location is fab, just a few minutes walk from everything. Highly recommend this lovely Hotel. Thank you for everything x

+ First of I have to say the hotel staff spoke english really well compared to other places in Chamonix. They were also really helpfull and kind so it was really easy to communicate with them! + The hotel was located in the center which made going out really convenient! + I would say the rooms were clean. Not the best but definitely not the worst. + The hotel had a jacuzzi and a sauna downstairs which was actually quite nice after a long day of skiing. On the first day the sauna wasn't on so we asked why it was like that and they said it was broken. Altough when we put it on it seemed to work like a normal sauna. We asked again the next day when they had someone who knew what was wrong with it and they said the stove doesn't heat up enough. All in all we didn't see anything wrong with it and put it on a few times while we were waiting in the jacuzzi for it to be hot enough. + I thought the price included breakfast but it didn't so we had to buy it for the whole week. In my opinion the breakfast had everything needed for a good breakfast, it's not smallest but also not the biggest.

- Compared to the pictures I thought the room would be little bit bigger. - Also the room got really stuffy and seemed to form water near the window frames, so the ventilation could be better.

perfectly located in central Chamonix, a short walk to shops, restaurants and attractions. the room was comfortable and clean. staff very friendly and helpful. very good value.

If I was being fussy - the shower cubicles in the standard room are very small. we are small people, but for larger people showering might be difficult. I suspect this is not a problem in the higher priced / bigger rooms. this did not affect our opinion of our excellent stay, but it might influence others. There was kettle, tea, coffee and sugar in the rooms, but no milk provided - appreciate this is probably an English thing, but milk would have been better! however, the small Casino supermarkets in the town stock those little pots of single serving long-life milk though, so this was easily rectified. plus there was obviously milk provided at breakfast and afternoon tea - so only a problem for in-room drinks.

Romin was so welcoming as soon as we stepped through the door and was extremely patient with us practicing our French. He gave us great restaurant recommendations and got us a great deal with our ski hire too! He personally set up our room for my husband's Birthday and it looked amazing!! The area itself is perfect, so close to restaurants, bars and bus stops to get to local ski lifts.

The only thing which we mentioned while we were there, was the WiFi. We were in a room quite far from reception, so unfortunately the WiFi signal didn't quite reach our room and when it did it was very sporadic and only at half a bar. I think also the breakfast is slightly over priced for what it was, but it was still a nice breakfast.

FIRST OF ALL THE LOCATION WAS EXCELLENT. ABOUT 1 MINUTE WALKING FROM CITY CENTER ALL STAFF WERE EXTREMELY POLITE AND ANY QUESTIONS WE HAD THEY WERE WILING TO HELP US. ROOM NUMBER 20 THAT THEY GAVE US WAS SO COSY, BIG AND COMFORTABLE. HAD AN AMAZING MOUNTAIN VIEW! HAVE A BIG JACUZZI AND A SAUNA! CLEAN HOTEL!

THE ONLY THING I DIDN'T LIKE WAS THE FACT THAT FOR 7 DAYS OF OUR STAY BREAKFAST WAS THE SAME EVERY SINGLE DAY BUT RATHER THAN THAT EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT! ALSO FIRE PLACE WAS FAKE WHICH IN REALITY THEY HAVE A FIRE PLACE BUT THEY INSTALLED A FAKE ON TOP OF IT! 😉

Breakfast was absolutely fine. Was worried when i read previous reviews but it had a good selection...breads, pastries, yogurt, scrambled eggs, bacon, ham and cheese, cereal, fruit. Location was very good ....we used ski hire shop 2 minutes from the hotel which was very convenient and hotel is close to the bus stop for the bus that takes you to the ski area. Also walkable distance (13 minutes) to Chamonix Sud Bus Station.

Shower gel in the shower in spa area has been out for 2 days...had to go and ask but that was not a big problem. Also sauna did not work very well on both days we used it but had jacuzzi to ourselves on both nights so that was a bonus.

A nice spacious and clean room on the bottom floor, a door opening to the inner garden with a view to the mountains. Bathtub in the room as we requested. Spa with a sauna and a bubble pool. Hotel is located next to the main shopping street and many restaurants.

No real parking space next to the hotel so we left our car to a free parking on the other side of the town. Breakfast 14 euros so we tested the cafes in the area. There was only soap in the bathroom and the pillows on the bed were a bit too high.

This hotel is perfectly situated in Chamonix. Next to everything. My room was very spacious and had plenty of space to organize my belongings after a long trip. It had skylight had windows that looked towards the mountains. Everything was very clean. The staffs super friendly and helpful. ai really loved my stay here.

Everything was good for me. The bath/shower was situated with a low angled ceiling so not a traditional space for standup shower-so if that is an issue for you - just check that. It was very nicely done and for me it was perfectly fine and added to the charm of the whole room.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. 10 min walk to Brevent ski lift and a short bus to Flegere. Great ski storage and spa facilities. Lots of hangers in the room to hang your ski gear at the end of the day. Superb location, right in town, beside the largest supermarket in Chamonix. Breakfast was lovely, in a very cozy setting. Blackout blinds and a comfy bed - I slept great!

Can't think of a single bad thing about this hotel.

We had a very large room with external doors to patio. fantastic! our friends did have a much smaller one though in the roof. staff were very helpful and professional speaking lots of languages and even offered to do our laundry. Breakfast was super with both hot and cold options, lots of fresh fruit . The coffee was help yourself all day. They will store luggage and service room every day too. amazing 😀
