Hotel les Brises

We had a lovely room with a great sea view. It was clean and comfortable with all the facilities we required. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The terrace was nice to sit on with sun loungers, umbrellas, chairs and tables etc. It was a 20 minute walk into La Rochelle but there was also a regular bus Monday to Saturday. There is a small bar / bistro a couple of minutes walk away and the neighbourhood is quiet.

Breakfast is not included in the room cost and you have to pay extra. We had it in the room each day for an additional charge which was worth it but the selection / choice of breakfast foods was a little limited in my opinion. Value for money wise, breakfast could be better - more choices, better quality items (the croissants I found to be a little hard) The TV channels were also very limited and some didn't work or the reception was poor - I know most people don't want to watch TV on holiday but it's good to have as a back up in case the weather isn't great or you want to watch a film in the evening

Room with a view of the sea and terrace. large bed and hot water in shower. The buffet breakfast was perfect for us. Only about a 20 min walk into the centre of the old town of la Rochelle. Secure parking available for 12 euros per night. Charming and helpful staff who spoke some English (which is always a plus!)

The rooms were a bit hot. As we were there in April, I would be a bit concerned as to how hot they would be in the summer months. There was no A/C in the rooms. Please note there is no restaurant at this hotel, but plenty within a 20 min walk.

Very friendly staff. Good location with an easy walk along the coast to the centre of town. Good breakfast. Lovely seafront terrace.

Hotel details specified that parking could be reserved but did not mention that it was chargeable. We had two cars so the charge for two nights added a considerable amount to our bill. There is nowhere else nearby to park, so it seems a bit mean to charge guests who are staying in the hotel an additional charge for parking.

View over marina from balcony was excellent. Location not too far from restaurants and easy parking nearby. Room was clean and comfortable enough but quite small. The terrace overlooking the sea, which was right in front of the hotel grounds. The hotel is clean and well kept and staff friendly, efficient and helpful.

Car parking cost €12 per night but underground parking spaces were really too small and one night we couldn’t even get into the space. Fortunately, there was one available outside that night. The breakfast wasn’t very good value for money, but the breakfast room was very pleasant. Breakfast was the only meal available.

All staff were welcoming and professional. Room and hotel totally respected covid regulations and everywhere was very clean. The continental breakfast buffet was beautifully presented with a good variety of foods - all fresh. The terrace area was very pleasant both for an evening apero and breakfast.

The location was a 30 minute walk into the centre of La Rochelle - although there was an hourly bus service 200 metres from the hotel. Hotel Reception were very efficient in organising a taxi to return to La Rochelle centre for dinner.

The view was amazing, the best thing about the room. But also room was very quiet, very relaxing. Nice bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. Underground parking was great to have. And lift from the underground parking to the room. A short walk into the town, great for us, but not so good if you have mobility problems or hate walking, and driving into the town a bit of a hassle due to the one way system and pedestrian areas. Driving back from town easy though, thanks to the one way system!

Good size room and bathroom Easy and pleasant 10 to 15 min walk in to centre of town though a lovely park along the sea front that passes a number of nice bars and restarants on the way The hotel has its own parking My room did not have air conditioning, but there was a very quiet pedestal fan. Great view at breakfast over the water across to the marina

We loved the view from the balcony, the terrace, and the lovely walk into town, The staff were helpful, breakfast was good - range of items, good coffee and juice, lots of fruit.The room was well equipped with fridge and kettle.

The room was compact. There is an extra charge for parking which given the room price seems unnecessary. Water glasses rather than paper cups in the room.

We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. Location is great about 30 mins walk into main area of La Rochelle and was great for a day trip to Ile de Re. Rooms were good with comfy bed and nice bathroom. We had a family room for 2 of us as it was all that was left so extra space was nice. We just had courtyard view room as was more expensive for sea view and we were happy - sea view would have been lovely though. Good parking over and under ground (we had a van over 2 metres so got a good space over ground) - you have to pay extra for this €12 per day. Good breakfast selection (also have to pay extra). There was an iron man race on our check out day which meant the road was closed so we had to move our car the night before - the hotel didn’t charge us for that days parking which was good of them. Would recommend!

No air con in the rooms and it was very hot and humid when we were there. But for 3 nights we didn’t mind too much.

Location and view from my room with large fully opening windows. The breakfast was lovely and the lift was a godsend! The cleaner was so helpful, she gave us so much advice!

We arrived in a heatwave, however a hotel of the standard and price you would expect there to be air conditioning. It was so hot, that it made it unbearable. The cleaner gave me a fan which helped but it was still too hot to sleep. We stayed on top of the bed for all 3 nights of our stay. Do not open window in the evening with your light on as you will get a plague of bugs, some biting!
