Hotel was two minute walk from the main train station & about the same distance to the cathedral & the wider City Centre. hotel best described as compact & bijou. It contains everything that you will need for a short stay, it is well thought out & quirky. We had a room on the top floor with a partial view of the Cathedral from the balcony. Bed was comfortable & clean with the room tidied every day. Soap & shampoo in the shower room. Kettle with tea & coffee provided, also a small fridge with a free bottle of water. Plenty of shops, bars & restaurants within walking distance. Check in was a 15.00hrs check out was 11.00hrs. Excellent value for money would definitely return here.

Location is amazing... just few meters from train station (we came by train) and Christmas market at Cathedral. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. We took a compact room so the bed was smaller in width and accessible only from one side, which is not handy while travelling with friends or colleagues. But the bed was very comfortable and pillows and blankets were awesome. Free water, coffie and tea in the room surprised us all, you don't see that very often anymore. Highly recommended.

we were very happy with our stay. Some people could mind the busy street, but if the window was closed, we practically didnt hear anything.

Overall, I had a comfortable and pleasant experience. The room was cozy, clean, and well-maintained, which was a big plus for me. However, it's worth mentioning that the room was a bit on the smaller side, which may not be ideal for travelers who prefer more space to move around. On the positive side, the location of the room was fantastic. It was very close to the city center, making it easy for me to explore and enjoy all the attractions, restaurants, and shops in the area. The convenience of the location added to the overall quality of my stay. Thanks to Chiara Rossi for recommending this hotel to me.

One thing to note is that there was no air conditioning in the room. While this wasn't a major issue during my stay, it might be something to consider during the hotter months.

Location is great! You can't see the cathedral from the room due to the angle, but we are close by. And being near Hbf made it easy. There was a lovely German gentleman in the reception area inside when it is during a certain window. He was very helpful in assisting me carrying my luggage up and making me feel welcomed in koln. Really grateful for the man. Self check in with the machine is ok. I think just need to put instructions or video of how this is done on the website to reassure people. I was a tad worried with all the negative reviews but my experience was actually good

Drinks were once off even though I stayed two nights. But it was a nice assortment. No air con and it can get a tad noisy at night (location woes).

Fab location, literally minutes from the central train station and cathedral. The room was on the small side but we didn't mind as we only needed it to sleep there. The beds were comfy, shower was great and a bonus having a fridge and kettle in the room.

That we couldn't get into the main building to check in without waiting to get somebody's attention. Also that you had to pay to use the toilet in reception even as a paying guest!

Very close to the main station and the cathedral and most of the attractions. We used to come back every hour because it was so close. Great balcony view.

Bathrooom was a bit too small. I took a hot shower and felt like a sauna inside but I guess to have such an amazing check-in hotel without staff there will be certain trade-offs and for that reason it was manageable.

Comfortable room, there is a coffee machine, fridge, kettle. Also a place to work with a little table. The location is perfect

There was a dead insect on the door from the inside, additional 5 euro was charged when checking in, we knew about it only after reservation. It's not a big deal, but probably better to include this in the whole price in advance.

Best location , modern bed, clean and nice, staff were very friendly and supportive, refrigerator with free drinks, You can't put your luggage in hotel before check in, for check in, you will use a automatic machine in front of the door. Totally i am satisfied,

Just be aware that: Without elevator and stairs are not suitable if you have big luggage.

Great location, good value, I would prefer a person to check in but what else can you do.

the self check in was complicated for me at least, some technical problems related to internet conecction made the self check in stressful. the staff is only 9-5pm

The rooms are rather small, but still ok There's no elevator, so this might be a challenge with heavy luggage. Anyway, it's a solid 10/10 room
