Hotel Madera Hong Kong

Very great location, close to the MTR. staff was very helpful and able to converse very well in english. rooms were clean and spacious compared to many other hotels in hong kong. room service request was prompt. My room was actually very near the lift, it’s probably 3 step away, i worried it would be noisy but it wasn’t. so it’s great!

the gym in not within the same building. only one side of the bed had a wall socket for charging stuff. it would be great if there are one both side. i went hong kong when it was cold(8~9 degrees celsius), and would be nice if they had warmer.

The bathroom and room size is very comfortable, water pressure is good for a warm shower. Near MTR and across the street are dozens of eateries. Bus stops are very convenient just outside the hotel for those who doesn’t want take the MTR. Overall is a good one week stay. A point to add, the room service staffs are very friendly and helpful, and I see they really change the bedsheet and pillow case when I popped to take something.

Pillow too soft, not my type (personal preference) I prefer the firm type of pillow.

Good location. Minutes to station. Less than one hour to return to office. Same area with temple street and Jordon road. I could easilt find some good restaurants. I like the space and bathtub. Also, the lift requires key card to access. I was at 9th floor. There are six rooms. It feels safe. I stay there alone for a few days and felt alright. I stated for five days and there is no noise from next door. Hotel uses Raze. Felt safe during this period. Did not get infected Covid-19 after staying for five days.

It would be better if the corridor light could be brighter. They may consider some activity activated extra lighting. It's not the hotel's fault but the streets nearby are dark at night. Some stores are not rented. If hotel put a camera and some night light towards main street, I would feel more safe. There is no restaurants or room service in hotel. I do hope then, it at least have a simple microwave oven to reheat food.

The hotel’s location is great. A few steps from Nathan road, the main artery of Kowloon. This means thay bus stops and mtr stops are also nearby. The room was clean and spacious, and the linens/pillows were soft and comfortable. Plenty of hot water and it doesnt take long for the water heater to work. Receptionista were professional and courteous. All in all it was a great stay.

The only complaint i have is that the hotel did not provide soap or handwash. Although toiletries were given, a small soap should have been a no brainer considering that washing your hands is arguable the single most important habit we learned during this pandemic.

Staff were professional and friendly. Always on hand to assist with queries that we had. Very kind of the gentleman to upgrade us to a Premier Room during check-in. We really appreciate it. Also liked the mood lighting in the room and the jacuzzi bath feature in the bathtub.

The toilet flushing system was not very powerful and more often than not the tissue remnants would not be flushed down. Perhaps the technicians could look into this matter. TV channels may also be improved as we couldn’t find any English/Cantonese tv programmes.

Great location with just airport bus stop around the corner. Bathtub came with jacuzzi was a surprised, loved it! Bed was just the right firmness and comfy, and it was king size too! there was a walk-in closet, plenty of space for 2 large suitcase

large window but no view, was facing back alley of other buildings, but understandable considering the hotel is situated in the center of city

The room is very well laid out. Bed was big and comfortable. There was separate division for desk and wardrobe which was very practical. The bathroom had a jacuzi style bathtub which was nice for a few minutes and then you got bored of it. but a very nice feature for a HK hotel. Front desk staff were very helpful and quick to answer any questions.

They should provide instructions on how to use the remote for the TV as the remote is different from our home ones. Just to adjust the volume already takes me so long and I need to ask them how.

Because the hotel is located inside a lane so they should have put some advert or signs outside to let their customer know at which lane should turn in.

The room was bigger than expected, considering the location. Convenient for MTR and local amenities. We enjoyed going to the Eaton food hall, which was less than 5 mins away.

It may have been our room only, but we found the toilet quite awkward and positioned close to the bathtub. Walls and carpet showing signs of wear and tear.

It was fantastic that the hotel was surrounded by fascinating restaurants and it was also convenient to travel to.

The bath tomb was probably a little too small and was not deep enough for a sweet couple to time together. Also, there was stain on the toilet set. Would be perfect if the cleaning can be slightly better maybe? We asked for another set for showering liquids just before we left the hotel for dinner, returning the room finding out the showering liquids had duplicated. Meaning the staff had been in the room while we were away, instead of leaving the products at the door. I am not sure if I can say myself being comfortable about this. I also do not know if this is supposed to be the normal scenario. But still a good time.
