Novotel Citygate Hong Kong

Room was a good size and well appointed. All staff I interacted with with excellent - competent, friendly and accommodating. The location is great for getting to Central and for running and cycling. Being linked to Citygate also give immediate access to shops and restaurants.

The bed was no so comfortable and the food that I tried was average

Check in and out great, concierge/bell boy and courtesy bus all excellent, great cleaning (they do replace towels even if not left in the bath which some will like others not), I wanted to have breakfast but never managed it as the food choices in the arcade next door were good, great gym and pool, everything was terrific.

The room was amazingly quiet most of the time, I did hear a late night bath and one or two bumps on just one night but overall an exceptionally quiet hotel, you never hear the planes. Location great for airport (bus every 20 mins, efficient and less than 10 mins to get there) and for me visiting a friend who lives close perfect and next to the 360 Budha temple cable car ride but 30 mins from central areas (metro is perfect and so easy)

The hotel is conveniently located and very near our planned activities - Ngọng Ping, Disneyland, HKMZ going to Macau. We were able to navigate easily as the MTR station was just below the hotel, the bus stations were just beside the hotel and the cable car was just across the street. This made our vacation stress free! Also, it was great that the Citygate Outlet mall is just outside the hotel doors. The room was also spacious with a great view. The bed was so relaxing and was perfect after walking all day. The hotel lobby staff were very helpful and it was a breeze to check in and check out. Oh, and did I mention the hotel has a free shuttle bus service from and to the airport? Truly worth the money. Will definitely stay here again when I go back to visit. Thank you Novotel Citygate 👍

Best thing is that hotel is connected to a shopping mall, only one escalator up from the reception, and shopping mall is connected with metro station. I was so happy about that. 5 mins from hotel is ngong ping 360 cable car and in the basement of citygate outlet is huge supermarket. Also hotel provides shuttle bus to and from airport every 20mins. The room is not that small, I was afraid because od the other comments, it’s regular size. Bed is comfy with 4 pillows. Breakfast was very good, a lot of options. I was there for only 3 nights and I would come again.

In my opinion this hotel is 10/10, but I have to mention that there was a little bit of mold in the bathroom, which is normal for cities with high humidity. There is also air purifier in the room and good AC.

Ideally located close to the airport (with free bus shuttle), and attached to the Citygate Outlets shopping, this plush hotel is great for the visitor and traveller to Hong Kong. The cable car to the Big Buddha and train to the city centre are a 10 minute walk away. The breakfast buffet is nice. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful.

We didn't book breakfast, but tried the breakfastybuffet one morning. While this was ok, we were asked to pay for it at the time rather than charge it to the room. It was fortunate I had brought my payment cards down with me in order to do this.

The hotel is connected to City gate outlet and Tungchung station. All are complete with one stop service. We can go to the main city easily.

We have no problem with the property but one reception staff lady looks Indian is not very nice. We checked in on 21-Apr at 7:00 PM and I went to her because I saw her counter check-in is available. However, she declined my query and pushed me to stay non-available queue. While she sit on the sofa, played her phone, I understood that might be her out of shift. We wait over 40 minutes to get checked in. Lucky us, HK reception staff lady fully guided us and quickly processed.

The staff are welcoming and helpful. The room is clean with an unblocked view. It is great that the complimentary water is replenished everyday. The hotel is close to the airport and is just above a big shopping mall (outlets). The MTR station is just a short stroll away. The free shuttle between airport and the hotel is fantastic.

The breakfast is good but a bit ordinary. Noodle soup is available, but my bowl of noodle only came with one fishball (!). Although the MTR station is within reach, downtown is about 40 min (by MTR) away. So, the hotel is great for short stay (1 or 2 nights) around the airport if you do not need to go to downtown but want a dynamic place to stay.

Great hotel and right next to the airport. The shuttle every 20min is very convenient and the train stop and mall right next to the hotel. Room is also super comfy. Hot water shower real nice and the bed a real treat.

The breakfast was terrible and a waste of money. Food was cold and the variety very limited. Worst buffet I have seen in a four star hotel. It better to just walk to the Starbucks next to the hotel and have breakfast there.

The location was perfect-right next to a mall and the metro and bus station--with a great breakfast buffet (pancakes or dim sum--they have it all!) and a beautiful pool. The staff was always lovely and helpful. I really appreciated the manager and waiters in the bar-- so kind and provided great tips on Hong Kong.

First of all, I adore Novotels. But our room was pretty dated and the extra roll-out bed for my teen really squeaked and was really hard. My husband got really bad back pain from the "king" bed (two twins pushed together). The USB charging station didn't work either. I really didn't like the elevator music. I know it's a weird thing to point out, but it was rather loud and cartoonish. Once I got scared riding in the elevator because it was this whispering French tune and I thought someone was being sleazy in the elevator. hahaha.

We really enjoyed our stay in Novotel Citygate Hotel. From the hotel shuttle service who helped with our luggage they where quite heavy and all the staff gentlemen were able to do it with poise and unity in spite their age, to the reception's very accommodating lady staff, the The Filipino staff in the Restaurant Ms. Julie, the chef at the noodle station was all smiles. We also like to thank the housekeeping staff for lending the vacuum regardless of the hour, we had so much to pack and they even let us stay for a few hours so we can rest more.
