Eco Tree Hotel

I am very happy with my stay at Eco Tree Hotel. The location was excellent, right next to the MTR station. Bus station and Tram station also nearby. We stayed 18 days, and there's a laundry place available 150 steps away from the hotel. Although there isn't a gym, swimming pool, beautiful lobby, restaurant and other facilities but it's suitable for our stay. Definitely recommended!

The entrance is a bit small and on the side road.

20 SQ Metre room was a very good size, clean, comfortable, fast wifi. And great value for money. I would stay here again.

Bed was comfortable. Shower and appliances worked fine. I think we got upgraded to a better room for some reason. We had a dyson hair dryer, a smart mirror, an extended area witha dressing table and a bathtub. Location was pretty accessible to the public transport network - 8 minutes walk to the MTR gantry, tram and bus stops right outside the main entrance. Many nice food options nearby.

Not sure how this property markets itself as a 4-star hotel on Google and Booking.com. Reception staff werent very friendly and often looked glum. When asked if they could spare us a bottle of water on our checkout day (2 free bottles are given daily and we had not gotten ours from room service yet) the receptionist told us to buy it from the vending machine 🤯. There weren power sockets situated at the bedside, and we could not charge our phones within arms reach of the bed. Would be nice to have some sockets at the bedside.

1. LOCATION + Really close to the MTR station / Island Line. + A2 exit is right beside the hotel building + Area is close proximity to good restaurants, grocery stores, cafes and bars + The area is not crowded. It’s easy to walk around. 2. COMFORT + Rooms were spacious enough especially for a group of 3 - we stayed in a room that had a double and a single. + They can do housekeeping whenever needed. + Toiletries were complete and you can request if there’s anything lacking + Towels were big enough + The bed and the pillows were comfortable 3. FRIENDLINESS OF THE STAFF + Prior to our trip, they answered my questions quickly and gave good directions on how to get to the hotel. + It was easy to talk to them. They were nice and approachable for our questions on extended check-out and getting a cab to the airport. + Staff was really helpful 4. OTHER THINGS I LIKED + You can store your luggage if your flight is later than check-out time.

Really liked out stay at ECO TREE HOTEL, but I feel like more cleaning could be done since there were dust specs in our room.

The hot water supply in my room on the 8th floor did not work. The water was still cold after turning the tap to the hottest setting for several minutes. I asked to be changed to another room,the staff was helpful and I was moved to a room on a higher floor.

The hot water in the shower was still cold after turning it on for several minutes. I asked to change to a new room when the same happened in the second night. I was changed to a room on a higher level ( from 8th floor to 19th floor) . the hot water was almost instant. They should make sure hot water is available for every room.

The room was large and immaculate with one (of two) bathrooms set up for disabled guests. The location was excellent as it was in a very cool yet local neighborhood easily accessible by various modes of transport. (Note that the reception is on the 7/F and entry is on a marked entrance in a side lane and not the main road.) We enjoyed sampling the many restaurants nearby, and Winston Coffee, right next to the A1 MTR exit was our go to place for our AM caffeine. The hotel doesn’t provide much else for facilities besides the room (the small reception area has a vending machine and small sofa), but it gets the room absolutely right. Would stay here again!

The beds and pillows were softer than we would want, but that’s just our preference. The room had two separate work areas with desks, which was fine, but with all that space, we wished there was a table and chairs where we could gather around to enjoy coffee/snacks.

The power plugs beside the bed were situated within the shelves below the bedside table, could not charge your phone within arms reach of the bed. Would be nice to have some power plugs right at the bedside.

Room is spacious for our group of 3 adults. Quiet & clean room. Bathroom is spacious. Water from showers are strong and hot enough. The only drawback of the hotel is that it locates on a street full of dry fish or other seafood stores. The smell is strong. Plus, for some reason the main entrance of the hotel is closed. Guests will have to enter and exit the building from a side street which is ugly, smelly and kind of dirty. That will certainly take away some credits from the hotel. Overall, the room is good, but the street environment is not ideal.

the room is good, bed is comfy. we have city view from our room. it was quiet at night. the size of the room is good. the water in bathroom is powerful and hot. Housekeeper is nice. Receptionist can speak English.

the wall is quite thin, you can hear the next room shower in the morning. The blind in the shower is a bid moldy in the corner. we choose this hotel because i heard that it is really close to the MTR exit, which it is to the A2 exit. However, the a2 exit is a bid of a long walk from the station and there is stairs right at the a2 exit. so it kind of defeat the purpose of choosing this hotel. When checking in, the receptionist charge me with wrong amount, and i have to waste my time there while i was so tired. The hotel front door is close for some maintenance and we have to use the side door which is next to shops that sell seafood stuffs and they smell quite fishy.

The beds were very comfy, and we got three single beds as a group of three people, which was great! Room service was daily and on point. Personnel at the lobby at all times helpful with all kind of requests and very friendly, really appreciate that! And super convenient, that the metro entrance is right beside the hotel entrance, great location!

Of course it could be a bit more space, since it’s the same size as a room for two people but that would be all of the critique.
