Royal Plaza Hotel

The room was good and the locationwas excellent given the MRT is right next door. The shopping centre in the same building was also handy.

I didnt like that you had to book to use the pool. I didnt like that the buffet was only open for breakfast one day out of the six that we were there. The concierge didnt provide the information that we needed each time we approached them. They need to be able to provide more information about restaurants and speak better English to cater for all clients.

The location is pretty great and the room is rather clean. All the staff are friendly and warm-hearted.

The overall feeling is pretty good, however some suggestions are provided, which the check out time is 11:00 is a little early. If changed to 12:00 noon that will be great, and when I checked-in, I was asked to pay a deposit 2000HK dollars, I have not experienced this thing for several years, and I do not understand what the deposit is used for. Moreover, the air-conditioner in room 1902 living room is not effective especially for the heating function, and there was some noise all night.

Very strategic location where it is close to both MTR and East Rail Link stations. Adjacent to the MOKO mall where you can find almost everything. Also walking distance to many local restaurants and street food. Highly recommended.

The lack of friendliness in most staff. They seem 'tired of people' and robotic. Most of them just wanted to get their job done instead of really giving guests a sense of belonging/welcome. But overall, maybe that's just how Hong Kong people really are.

I love that it is located next to MOKO mall and near mongkok and prince edward mtr stations! Beautiful hotel room and toilet. Wonderful pillows and bedsheets. Staff is really efficient with the check-in and check out.

Everything looks so beautiful, clean and neat, but the bed isn’t comfortable. The mattress feels worn and old, bed feels sunken with not much cushion. When my husband turns, the entire bed moves and at times creaks.

Family room was spacious and clean with 2 queen beds. Beds were comfortable. Toilet was spacious too. There is even gym and swimming pool facitlities for guests to use. Hotel is located within the Moko Mall and connected directly to the East Mongkok mtr station. Very convenient.

Waited for quite a while to check in. Check in process could have been smoother and faster. Hotel lobby does not have enough seats for guests to rest while waiting for the check in.

Spacious room & clean & good location

Swimming pool only open at certain time. I think it’s unfair- especially during summer we would like to swim more often. But only open 3hours x 3 slots per day. Also the water is too hot for summer ; 24C will be ideal. People soaking in the pool and not able to do swimming as they all come together during those 3 hours opening slot.

Property location was very convenient, close to two MTR stations, and lots of taxis and buses available. Attached to a mall with a wide range of choices in food, shopping, etc. Hotel itself was clean and nicely decorated

Limited views of city and limited amenities

Check in was quick and easy. They gave us 2 key cards (pretty standard), the room was the Plaza Deluxe Family Room and was plenty big enough for the four of us. There was an HDMI cable connected to the TV so easy to hook up a laptop and watch movies with the kids. The air con was very good & when set to auto, it actually kept the room at the right temperature throughout the night (and didn't turn off). One thing that was really cool is the bathroom had a filter tap beside the hand basin so we had a clean source of drinking water and didn't have to boil or buy bottled water. The hotel was also on top of the MOKO mall, so heaps of shopping and places to eat, as well as direct entry into an MTR station. The fitness room was better than most with a range of weights equipment as well as cardio machines. The pool was great, very clean & nice and warm.

I am not, and never will be a fan of a shub (shower in the bath tub) but this one was particularly bad. The bath was quite narrow, so I had to stand with my feet narrower than shoulder width apart, and then my shoulder touched the shower curtain throughout my shower. The shower pressure was also weak so that didn't help either. We also looked at having some laundry done by the hotel as we were away for a few weeks, but the costs were absolutely ridiculous & not even worth considering.

Really liked the hotel! I most liked: Quality of room and space for the price and location, the kettle set up, the ease to get to the MTR station (Mong Kok East), filtered water tap, feel of the sheets, the smell of the toiletries incl hand soap is divine! The guys at the front (concierge?) gave us chopsticks to eat restaurant leftovers, great service from them. The Chinese new year display in the atrium was pretty amazing! I would stay here again.

The attached mall was okay but not quite as good for my kid's western palate as hoped. Shame they didn't offer breakfast. The cleaners knock early and it's easy to get woken up by that even if they're knocking other doors. While there was an outdoor pool that looked beautiful, and a cute bakery with impressive cakes, it'd still be great to have more facilities for families, like an informal cafe bar. A coffee machine would be fab. The front reception was polite but boy is the queue quite slow. Bring own coffee sachets and teabags if you like them. ;)

The room was spacious and immaculately clean. Self check-in was very easy and smooth. We loved the swimming pool and sauna.
