Queens Hotel

Expectations based on previous reviews were very low. Arrived and the reception staff were accommodating and friendly. We were given 1 recently renovated room and 1 slightly older room. Both were clean, tidy, comfortable - they were more than adequate. The recently renovated room was trendy and smart. A huge improvement and heading in the right direction for this hotel. We all commended the quality of the coffee shop & restaurant below the hotel. Lift facility good. Location amazing. Our room was made & we were given fresh towels by the housekeeping staff without asking. All around great place to stay. (a note: we did have to provide a card for €150 deposit for each room & this was returned to us at check out. This is a normal experience & was noted in the booking confirmation email.)

No tea & coffee facilities in the room. No mirror in bedroom near dressing table to get ready. Some things like the outside of the windows need cleaning a little. No Wifi - if there was it was not displayed in the room anywhere

We were traveling by car and found this at the very last minute of our travel day - we lucked out and were able to park right in front of the hotel and got the last room! Room was clean and moderate size, served our purposes for the eve. We enjoyed the bar that is part of the hotel next door - good Irish music performed. Had dinner down the street in a fun pub. Our room looked over the street and the windows opened (which I love - don't find that often in USA hotels). We had just been to the Cliffs of Moher that day and were glad to find this hotel!

I can't think of anything negative to report - it was a nice little hotel in a cute town

Nice location in center of ennis. Great staff could not do enough to help you and make your stay a comfortable one.

Great staff and good location.

Some other guests (two lads) either behind the wall or above me started screaming their lungs out at 3 am and banging at the walls and floor with such force that it honestly felt like they're coming through into my room. It didn't sound normal at all and the whole room including my bed was shaking from the force of the thumping. I hope nobody died. It wouldn't be the fault of the hotel if they did - the hotel is good.

Could not connect to WIFI in any of our rooms. A Note t o Guests in all rooms stated that breakfast was not available on Mon and Tues but in fact that was incorrect. No dedicated Car Park so car was parked in a Pay and Display Carpark, Free from 6pm to 0930 but car then had to be moved each morning to the Day Free Cloister Car park. Reception was not manned continuously so there was a phone number to call-phoned 6 times before getting a response

I like the location where is found its close to town . And the room was very cleaned and looking nice.

The thing i don't like is .. breakfast is not free. we need to paied for that and as far as i know most hotel are included breakfast ...the ather thing is about telphone the one i stayed room is doesn't have telphone. And i was wondering for that aswell...the rest is i enjoyed my stay..

Great location that's very central to all shops/restaurants in the town & hotel is easy to locate. Staff were friendly with fast check in/out service. Room was spacious and furnished well. Bed was comfy & didn't hear much street noise at night.

Room lacked some common additions to hotel rooms, such as a hair dryer and a kettle. Hot water from the shower was inconsistent at times.

Breakfast was lovely the room was decent size and quiet for being over a pub however I was there mid week. Shower was good but very small cubicle and bed was getting near the end of its useful life. I understand Queens are upgrading perhaps this room hasn't been done yet.

It was all fine

Great location, right off a main road in old downtown area. good value for the money. Clean with comfortable beds. Loved the pub below with local musicians playing and coffee shop was good for breakfast next morning. Handy free overnight parking across the road at the church.

Need to have just a little better signage out front to identify where the actual hotel front door is as it is tucked away around the corner of the building.
