The Savoy Hotel

Great staff, central location, great rooms, good tech built into the TV's and a nice bar.

My wife said the spa was a bit run down compared to others. That's about it.

We arrived back late to the room just myself and 2 kids fro. A concert we attended, the room was freezing from the A/C. I tried working the keypad to adjust the temperature, it wouldn't work. I contacted reception who transferred me to a member of staff to assist I was told he was on his way to the room. Bare in mind this was after midnight as the concert ran late, he never showed up. Kids fell asleep no problem as the were wrecked, I on the other hand found it hard to sleep as I was freezing. I understand it was late but he said he would call to the room if he couldn't he should if just said as I waited for him to arrive.

The Savoy is a fantastic hotel, great location and the staff are truly amazing . The staff are very friendly and are a credit to the hotel. I stayed in the hotel and left a sentimental gold necklace behind in the room. I didn’t realise I had left my necklace there until almost two weeks later but the amazing housekeeping staff found it and the reception staff were so kind to contact me and post it to me. They went above and beyond for me even though it had been a number of weeks since my stay. Fabulous hotel would definitely recommend.

Only one issue regarding our stay - which isn’t really an issue but I just feel it should be noted. the staff were very helpful throughout our stay (broken kettle replaced within 10 mins) however, we were offered a later checkout which we accepted but we feel it may not have been relayed to staff. a memenber of staff arrived into our room - no warning , no bell ringing - and placed a box of chocolates for the next guest on the desk and left again. My fear is what if I had just come out of the shower / was getting changed etc. Again not a huge issue but just feel it was a little inappropriate.

Rooms are very modern, beautiful and compartable. Location is excellent, in the middle of the city. Loved the art deco interior of the hotel. The best part of our stay was breakfast, which was the best we ever had! Can't wait to return soon.

We could not attend swimming pool, but it is expected during the pandeminc. Hotel website has no information on the pool, which resulted in us not being able to book it in time for our visit.

We were upgraded to an executive room which was fabulous. Room was lovely and clean, bed was so comfortable too

I had requested a bottle of prosecco in the room as I had planned this stay for my fiancé's 30th birthday. First I added in my special requests when booking, at which time I was told it was going to be no problem. Then I recieved a phone call confirming my booking the day before we arrived, once again I mentioned the prosecco as it was going to be a surprise. When we got up to the room after checking in there was nothing there. I rang reception and got it sent up, charged extra as it was 'room service' and they didn't send glasses up so we had to call reception again. It spoilt the surprise for my fiancee. It was a simple request, very disappointing service from a 5 star hotel.

Situated in Limerick City this hotel is within easy walking distances of restaurants, pubs and attractions. Our room on the 6th floor was large and well appointed with a good sized bathroom with bath and separate shower. Breakfast was well presented with a good and varied selection all cooked freshly to order and the staff were friendly and informative.

Our only issue was parking. 30 euros per day for valet parking or 10 euros for a 24 hour period at a multi storey car park opposite with the ticket validated at reception. Other than this we would use this hotel again in the future.

Breakfast stared at 7am and there wasn’t an option to get a warm breakfast ( even beans on toast) before then . I asked even as room service but was not possible. This didn’t help us much because we had to leave earlier than 7am some mornings to attend an athletic competition

We were on the 6th floor in a junior suite and it was very spacious. The rooms are due an upgrade, all a little faded, but super comfortable big bed. Pool area wasn't great. We ate at the Hamptons, their grill restaurant but it's not the best. A rib eye steak was not rib eye at all. Staff were nice all over though, warm and efficient.

No car park so you must pay for parking at an adjacent multi storey. Room service food was terrible! Wilted salad, sandwiches advertised as coming on Sourdough, came on sliced pan. Cold fries. We still had a grest time though.

The room was incredible. It was huge and we'd great views of the river. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. Dinner in the Hamptons restaurant was delicious, had a great atmosphere and was surprisingly reasonable. I'd highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Limerick.

The pool and jacuzzi area were very disappointing. The pool was tiny and the area looked in need of an upgrade. After seeing the rest of the hotel we expected alot more.
