Woodfield House Hotel

This is a nice, older hotel with pub outside central Limerick. The staff was nice at the front desk. The room was comfortable. The hotel is showing it's age. In our room, wallpaper was peeling up at some edges so management could do some refurbishing but the room was clean. Having a bathtub was great for my wife. We had the included breakfast which was served in the pub. You can order anything off the pub breakfast menu so it was a nice variety. The staff in the pub at dinner and breakfast were all very nice and friendly. Free parking is available.

The bathroom faucets are like the kind you find in public restrooms. You have to push down on a knob and the water comes out for a timed period. This was very awkward and the water came gushing out. When we checked out we mentioned this to the front desk. Regardless of the water pressure, we did not care for the water faucets.

The location was good, just a 15 minute walk to the city centre. The staff were amazing. The restaurant/bar attached to the hotel seemed to be a pretty popular place with the locals so it was a great place to have a pint. This also meant the staff were working extra to service both areas but they were still very attentive and extremely helpful while it was busy. Shoutout specifically to Alex, he went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and provided excellent service right from the check in :)

Our room was on the smaller side, but we did book a triple room. The regular double rooms are probably bigger in size :)

When checking in the reception staff was really friendly, explained everything about the hotel in a quick and simple manner she even went out of her way to order us a taxi to our destination. Rooms were clean and a decent size. Had everything we needed in them for our short stay.

This is only personal preference as I cannot really fault any part of our stay. The keys to the rooms are the old fashioned ones with an actual key and a massive key ring attached which is very bulky - I only carry a small purse and my partner couldn’t fit it in his pocket.

Great old fashioned hotel. Lovely, friendly and helpfull staff. We do not eat breakfast, but we had three evening meals because the food was so good. The bar staff were quick to serve and frendly with it. The on-suit room met our expectations. We would be happy to return to this hotel.

There was dried blood on the quilt cover that was not changed, although the sheets were. Other tahn that, the cleaners did a great job. We even left a tip for them.

Pleasant and helpful staff, we can walk to the city center, which is very convenient, we can eat at the restaurant (you need to book), nice terrace outside to have a drink. Exellent breakfast. Fee parking.

The only problem was flushing the toilet...as the equipement was old and the water tank far...not convenient when you are 3 in a room and you need to wait a certain time before the next person can use the toilet.

Woodfield House Hotel helped us out after another accommodation cancelled last minute. The staff here were really friendly and welcoming. The rooms were ideal and value for money. The rooms weren't ready when we arrived but the lovely girl at reception brought us to the bar where we got some food and a drink and came to get us shortly after we finished eating. Myself and friends couldn't speak highly enough and will definitely be back again this summer.

Booked at the last minute due to a change in plans and the lovely, friendly, smiling staff member Lianne couldn't have been more warmly accommodating with her hearty greeting and she went out of her way to make our stay wonderful. Whilst it was very busy day here, it was a high-spirited lively atmosphere. We had a delicious meal here too it was relaxing, comfortable and all our party loved the food and service, all the meals were scrumptious, delectable, not a crumb left on the plates! The room was spacious, clean and bright with a fan in the room on this hot day, plenty of sockets for our needs, the bathroom was impeccably clean and also spacious :) As the staff in the bar were hard at work, they still were fully dedicated to providing quality service to their guests on this day and the hotel indoors and outdoor seating area was buzzing, the staff were attentive and we were extremely satisfied with the Woodfield House Hotel. Many thanks to all here for making our stay perfect.

No complaints. Could not fault a single thing :) Well, maybe only that I couldn't stay any longer lol!

Very friendly staff, nice clean big room, comfortable beds, clean bathroom. They managed to provide us with a vegan dinner option which was great since we were exhausted from the drive to Limerick and appreciated that we didn't have to get into the car again that night. The baked beans are a good vegan breakfast option. Special thanks to the gentleman from Belgium for all his help!!

Our room was directly above the pub and therefore a bit noisy until the pub closed.

Every thing was great fantastic stay we highly recommend this hotel And we will most definetly be back Really nice small hotel that's what Makes it so nice. Very homely great bar. Nothing not to like everything about this little hotel was lovely homely great decor fantastic outdoor area to sit and have a pint and relax Truely a lovely place highly recommend a visit you won't, be disappointed.

- Staff and so friendly and helpful - Cosy and buzzy dining area that was nice an busy. Would be the perfect place to settle down for the evening with no need to head into the town in order to have a nice atmosphere. Food was gorgeous with big portions. I would describe it as traditional Irish pub grub, which is right up my alley ! - Breakfast was great with lots of hot and cold options + the hotel started breakfast early to facilitate people running the Limerick Marathon, which was great (with myself being a runner) - Room nice and big. Spotlessly clean. Comfy bed.

- No fridge in the room but this isn’t that common anyway so wouldn’t impact my rating of the hotel - The hotel is about 20 minute walk from the city centre, which we didn’t mind but could be a factor to consider
