Best Western Hotel Armando

Hotel Armando was chosen for its convenient, but quiet, location close to the historic centre of Verona, as it was a one day overnight stay, ending our trip to Venice and Lake Garda. The hotel staff were really welcoming and helpful. They were able and happy to facilitate an early check-in and extended our check-out time by an hour, stored our luggage and arranged airport transfer. The room was of generous proportions - more like a family room - including an extremely comfortable kingsize bed, large sofa, desk and double width ensuite shower. There were tea/coffee making facilities for which they very kindly provided fresh milk when we requested. Breakfast was a tasty continental style buffet, but included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages cereals, cold meats, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, juices, pastries, breads and hot beverages. The walk from the hotel to the Arena and historic centre was a simple, direct route, which took all of ten minutes.

Nothing to dislike.

Firstly the reception staff are amazing, polite, professional and very friendly wonderful warm greeting to beautiful Verona. The rooms are perfect value for money, comfortable and spacious, i would not be worried over not having a view as the city is so beautiful every corner you turn there is something new to see. The biggest plus for our stay here was the breakfast, so much choice, lovely hot coffee and staff who were so lovely and on hand, well worth the money as eating out can be pricey.

Good sized room with a couch so you don't always have to sit on the bed or a chair. Very clean and upto date furniture (big TV) Large bathroom with a big shower Nice staff - allways helpful Great location - 5 minutes walk to the Arena Good breakfast available (€ 10/per person) - staff helpful with Gluten intolerance requirements

Very old (2.4 GHz ) and patchy WiFi - signal in some rooms so weak and outdated that modern (less than 3 yrs old) phones could not lock onto the signal

Room - spotless, great air-con, quiet and large comfy bed. Large shower. Breakfast - good choice of food - fruit, yogurt, cereals, cold meats/cheeses, bacon and scrambled egg, cakes, pastries etc. Good value (10 euros per person). Location - max 10 mins stroll from Piazza Bra. Very quiet street.

Wished it had a lounge or quiet courtyard to sit in, but hey you can't have everything.

We always stay at Hotel Armando when we are in Venice. It is a nice small Hotel with very friendly & helpful staff. We have traveled to many Hotels on this trip & the Breakfast offered was best value for money on our trip. The room was a great size with a modern bathroom. Locoation is great close to the city & near the river.

It would have been great if there were more English language TV channels. The last time i stayed there i recall that CNN & BBC were available.

Breakfast cost extra at 8 Euros but selection of food was excellent and set in a pleasant light and airy room. Coffee was particularly good. Bedroom was an adequate size. Rain forest shower in bathroom particularly good. Location was good as in a quiet side street not far from Piazza Bra.

Metal corner on bed was dangerous - I caught my leg on it a couple of times.

The location was nice and convenient. it was easy to walk to the historic center and also to discover different cafes and points of interest.

Our rooms were facing the inner courtyard. The view was nonexistent/hideous as you were facing a wall. That did not matter to us so much because we did not spend so much time in the room, however, there was a noice from outside during the evening ( restaurant guests until 11::00) and air condition from other rooms(?) later on.

Great location, just 5 mins walk to the Arena. Very clean rooms, comfy beds, good breakfast. They offer good quality coffee and fresh fruits. All the staff I talked (housekeeping, service, front desk) were very friedly and nice people. And I also like the B/W photos on the walls. I genuinely recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The rooms for all our party of 7 were good, better than we expected. A quiet location and a short walk from the main attractions of the city, especially the Roman Arena. The staff were all pleasant and helpful.

I can't think of any negative comment by any member of our party.

A quiet location within easy walking distance of the major historic attractions and excellent restaurants. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and pleasant. The room was a good size with a very comfy bed and an en suite containing a superb walk in shower. Excellent buffet breakfast.
