Zenit Bilbao

Excellent location. Tram across the street and supermarket one block away. Extremely convenient for this 82 year old travelling alone. Staff very accommodating.

The room was large and clean, the staff very kind and caring. The hotel is in a very good position, well connected by metro and bus (less than 1 km to reach the bus for the airport). Breakfast is good and includes many different options. No problem if you don't speak Spanish.

You just can't keep your windows open because of the noise and you're forced to use the air conditioner.

Great location, 10 minutes walk from the bus station where it costs 3 euros to get to the airport. Tram stops outside if you want to get into the old town. We stayed just one night on our way to the airport, to come back home. We had a lovely meal across the road before we left. Steak & chips, bread, water, bottle of wine, dessert, all for 8 euros each. Restaurante Aritz. Great staff and service as well.

Main attraction was location as it was at the end of the Tram line. There are some small shops which are open till about 9pm but a local one on the same side of the road stays open later. Though on a main road it is not really noisy at night even being at the front. Check in staff friendly and helpful, offering ideas when showing us a map.

Air conditioning was not that effective and needed to be kept on sometimes after going to bed and then turning it off during the night.

Friendly staff; receptionist on arrival which was very late due to flight delay, helpful, spoke good English and cheerful. Excellent room with a balcony, clean and good sized bathroom. Fantastic location as walking distance from the bus station 15 minutes; one of 2 tram lines ends opposite the hotel with stops at the Guggenheim museum and Athletic Bilboa stadium. Spacious breakfast room with above average choice and quality of food. Other attractions, the river. the old town and eating places all within easy walking distance. Highly recommend this otel.

Nothing springs to mind.

Location within walking distance of cultural, culinary and commercial activities. The street not as sparkly as I thought for the hotel but still very safe. Five minute taxi drive from train station. Across a small park that has dancing on Sundays (primarily for seniors but anyone can join). Staff held up in reserving taxi at 5:45 am. Btw if you’re a Pilgrim, Camino runs right in front of the hotel; look for the scallop on the sidewalk in front.

Very quick check in. Sonia at front desk was fantastic with everything. Always smiling and very helpful. The staff in the restaurant were also very efficient and hard working. As soon as an item was low they replaced it straight away. Great breakfast, juices, meats, coffee/ tea, sweet cakes, fresh fruit salads, fruit and yogurts. There was a small amount of hot breakfast, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. The breads they had were fresh and varied. My room was cleaned daily, fresh towels, good shower, plenty of cupboard space, a safe and bonus was having a fridge in the room. Ac/heating was fine too.

Maybe more variation on hot breakfast.

Excellent hotel to stay in Bilbao, very comfortable room, excellent bathroom. We arrived early and were able to checkin which was fantastic as we were walking Camino del Norte. Jose the concierge was great with suggestions as we had visited Bilbao twice before and we spent a great day out in Portugalette before returning to Bilbao for a great evening. We will definitely return

We loved everything

Very helpful staff stored our bike boxes for a week whilst we cycled around the region. Rooms are small but well equipped and with good air con. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. A short walk to the Guggenheim Museum in one direction and the old town bar district in the other. A reasonable breakfast with an inner courtyard next to the dining room.
