Hotel Avenida Gran Vía

The location was perfect, lovely power shower and comfortable bed, really friendly staff

No fridge in the room, no English TV, even if it was just the news so we listened to the radio. You only get an option of 4 things for breakfast, if you want scrambled eggs etc then you have to pay, even though you've paid for breakfast included?

Perfect location for metro and in my case just walking about. It has a place for breakfast but is close to many local businesses serving breakfast very cheaply, inside or in the fresh air. Staff polite and efficient. Room very clean. Easy to find... a bonus if you are dragging your suitcase around a foreign city.

Location was great. Staff were very hospitable, friendly and professional, we were checked-in in no time.

View wasn't good at all (kept curtains closed to avoid seeing it). The aged building came with some quirks, like the sound of water running through the pipes, all day all night; not easy to sleep. You can also hear everything.

The hotel was nice, and all the staff were super nice and helpful! I was never disturbed neither with the cleaning service, even though I left the room quite late every day. The hotel is almost right next to Gran Via, and three different metro stations are all nearby. There is also a restaurant right next to the hotel, with very cheap prices and good meals.

The floor in the bathroom was a bit squeeky as it’s wooden floors, and the nails hit in random places were sticking out a bit, especially one between the shower and the toilet, so be careful. Also, the HD channels don’t work on the TV, but all the regular ones do.

The location was central and near to shopping and attractions. The hotel cafe Bon Appetit was open early to late 7dys and the food was great with a variety of items on the menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The room was clean and serviced daily.

A larger bathroom would have been better, else a separate area for the toilet.

What I loved the most was the location! Exactly right on the corner you have la Gran Vía, an amazing avenue with and incredible life and stores which is outstanding at first sight in the city center and invites you to go out shopping! Real close to every highlight in Madrid. I definitely would choose again this Hotel. And the personnel always very kind, helpful and respectful they guided and helped at all times! What I like the most it was the reception 24/7 and again the location is unbeatable!

I cannot say I did not like, but is honest to say perhaps the facilities or the structure of the hotel itself is quite old. So be prepare to stay in one old fashion decoration. And about the bed we felt the mattress quite hard. But we were tired to death so we did not really care about it!

Located in the city centre, next to Gran Via.

Super small rooms, bathroom door looks more like a shower door, bad smell on the hallway, rude staff in the small and overcrowded restaurant.

The location is perfect. Breakfast was ok.

We stayed in the hotel in the beginning of November. The room at night got so hot that we were boiling and had to sleep with the window wide open. When asked how the Ac works they told us that it is on heat and they cannot change it.
