The staff were great, very helpful and polite. Nice bathroom. The location was perfect for what I needed it to be. Side note, the restaurant La Rita was great for breakfast but also very tasty dinner - again, the staff making it just that bit better.

I didn't get the room (with balcony and city view) as expected. After returning home, there was discussion with the hotel and Booking, and the confusion really came from the booking. My confirmation said I would receive a room with a balcony, but in reality, you need to request a balcony when booking as these are never guaranteed (even if requesting one). If that had been clearer when making the booking, I wouldn't have had any disappointment on arrival. So my advice to future guests is to make sure that you add a special request for a city view and balcony if that's what you want (as this is what the hotel is expecting you to do).

Location is top notch - central and close to everything. I didnt use subway but it was close as well. The bus from the airport stops super close so you can arrive/leave from/to airport for 5 euros, i think. The room was nice and spacious and all the facilities are clean and well taken care of. Last but not least - it is actually what makes me wanna go back - the personnel. Everyone was very professional and responsible, especially a young lady. I always felt comfortable asking questions and the personnel was extremely polite and welcoming. Stay in this hotel - you wont regret it! Muchas gracias!!!

location good try the tiger bar a few doors down from the hotel. if you buy a drink they give you free tapas. not the best but best price.

high rate for a Saturday stay issues with room 401 wiring. plugged in phone and they were charging and in morning were totally discharged. had to wait 2 more hours in the morning to charge up. happened twice. second night made sure it was charging after turning off light. worked the second night. third night totally discharged phones again we were pick pocketed / backpacked right out side of the hotel by two men pretending to be tourists. be careful. they unzipped our backpack. only had toilet paper in there so no $ loss

Fantastic location—lots of “must see” places within walking distance. The staff was extremely helpful and kind; we especially appreciated the main server in the restaurant who welcomed us to breakfast each morning. Additionally, the desk staff were lovely and helped accommodate all of our extra asks (like purchasing extra water, needing forks, etc). Would definitely consider staying here again.

Our room was a bit smaller than I’d expected and the bed was a true double so on the small side for me and my much taller partner. With that said, that’s generally to be expected and I was not surprised at all. Some light maintenance needed—the window latch was not attached properly and the ceiling vent for the A/C fell down while we were out during the day, exposing the air duct; they were to fix the following day, after we had checked out. Finally, it’s not super convenient for public transportation as the nearest Metro stop is a bit of a walk.

Room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was large and had a deep tub, although it was a bit narrow. The bed was comfortable and it seemed as though the mattress may have been memory foam. The location is about the best you can hope for in Madrid - near Gran Via and Puerta del Sol, and in the Cheuca, but close to the museum mile and Malasana. It felt like a very safe area, and I didn't have any problems walking around the neighborhood at night. The front desk staff were helpful, and one loaned me a charging adapter for my phone. (I'd forgot to bring a universal adapter to account for European electricity outlets!)

The hotel can be a little noisy since it's in an older building. You can definitely hear other guests when they're in the hallway. However, outside, it's on a side street, so there isn't a great deal of external noise. I was able to block out sound with earplugs just fine.

The room had a bath (unusual) and bath sponges (never seen before!). Also a small fridge and a kettle. The breakfast menu was comprehensive - fresh fruit salad, natural and flavoured yogurts, cereals, whole fruits, bread, pastries and preserves, cheeses, charcuterie, fried or scrambled eggs, beans and bacon.

The bathroom door squeaked, the shower head was oddly-shaped and there was no extractor fan. There was no whole fruit left at breakfast on the second morning, no beans on the third morning and for “cereals”, only one was provided and it was 19% sugar. Parking was in the public car park at the top of the next street and would be easier if you have a small car! There were two spaces outside the hotel where you could park for up to half an hour to load and unload, if the spaces weren’t already taken by delivery vans. It was a real palaver trying to find someone to get out using the parking ticket endorsed by the hotel, which reduced the 3-day fee from 87 to 66 euros.

The location of this hotel is a winner!! We took one bus from the airport that dropped us off within 5 minutes walking distance. It is located just 1-2 blocks off of the main Gran Via street. It's easily accessible to major attractions and public transportation yet it's on a quiet enough street with a few restaurants, a grocery store, and a pharmacy close by. For our three nights, the room was a good size, the bed was comfortable, it included a mini fridge, adequate outlets, and the bathroom was the biggest we had in our 3 weeks of travel. The AC was not very cool, barely sufficient in the warm temperatures. The warm breakfast was not outstanding, but good. Breakfast would be worth the cost when included in the room reservation. Both Paco and Sergio were helpful in answering questions or in making suggestions. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and would happily stay there again.

Nice large bathroom; friendly reception; large room and plenty of wardrobe space. Location good for airport bus, shops and restaurants.

Street noise in early hours was disappointing - we should have asked for a quiet room. The breakfast set-up was a bit weird - you had to order from the waitress and if she was busy, having to wait for her attention before ordering more food, meant we took far longer over breakfast than we would have liked (and disappointingly, no cereal). Nice breakfast though, even if the choice was limited.

The hotel itself is very cozy, and the room was very comfy and spacious and clean. Location is unbeatable, near a metro station and main road where a ton of buses pass through. A lot of great restaurants nearby as well. Breakfast was good!

The hotel is shaped like a square with a negative space at the center, so to walk to the room you had to turn a corner that was very dark and lit only by (slow) motion-activated lights. Also, since it was still winter/early spring, you couldn't regulate the AC temperature and when opening the window at night you could hear other rooms since the windows faced the negative space.

The location was outstanding. The whole staff was very professional and friendly.

The breakfast was OK, but after looking the hotel, the bedroom and the location then maybe I was expecting something better.
