C 1 Colombo Fort

Fantastic, affordable hotel that genuinely feels like a 4 star. Staff are super helpful too and the location is great but be careful of the men on the streets pretending to be the manager of this hotel. They will try to mislead you to a temple and a fake one day exhibition and then take a lot of money from you. Do Not Entertain Them.

Bathrooms a bit old but not too bad and no curtains for the beds.

All staff were so friendly and helpful.

It would be great that each bed in the dormitory room has curtain, so keep privacy.

The great help of the staff. Our taxi-driver Roshan was super helpful for giving tips and even traveled with us for the next 4 days further in Sri Lanka. He has the best tips and helped to plan our trip. Really would recommend to let him guide you through Sri Lanka!

As a solo traveller, this hostel was perfect. I could book a female dorm, hotel was very quiet, a lot of space (rooftop and incredible lobby), everything, and bathroom included, is super clean, location is perfect ! I defintily recommend. This was way better then i expected !!!! I will come again.

Best hostel in Colombo! I tested three and came coming back because this one was really fantastic! - Excellent facilities (locker for you luggage, personal socket, wifi, always clean, towel & blanket provided, AC) - very helpful staff (big thanks to Faray who made my stay possible even when they where officially booked out) - good location (very central and close to central Station) - easy to socialize (I came as a solo-travel but every day quickly met people to hang out with/go on day trips with) - great overall experience (free coffee/tea downstairs, rooftop area to chill, luggage storage available, good travel advice from staff, nice guests, ...)

There are hooks right outside the shower cabin, but adding one inside would be perfect

We stayed several times in December in C1 Colombo. the hotel is near Colombo Fort railway station where we took several times a train. It is only walking distance from the Dutch Hospital with lots of restaurants, bars , shops and a nice Java Café. We loved the friendly and always smiling staff- In the lobby there is hot water for making coffee or tea. After check out, it is possible to leave the bags in the lobby which is very handy. They offer a drop off service to the airport for Ruppies 6.000 (around Euro 18.-)

The hotel is not new and some renovation work need to be done especially in the bathrooms

One of our favorite rooms in Sri Lanka! The beds are super comfy, the shower is amazing, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the location is just perfect, close to all the main sightseeings. 100% recommended!

The staff is very welcoming, helpful and attentive. I really appreciated that. They made great recommendations for food around and were simply happy to care for their guests. It was a comfortable stay in the bunk beds and enjoyable to have an AC room for the night.

Only thing that could be improved is the lockers which seem fine but are actually not latching on to anything so for now no option to keep the personal belongings secure in the dorm. For some travelers it’s ok, for some it could be worrisome. The price is a bit high for a bunk bed but I think the staff made up for it.

Excellent location! Only a few minutes walk to the fort area with lots of restaurants. Only 10 mins walk to the train station so very convenient. Nice and calm hotel with a lovely communal sitting area. Comfy beds too. I used “Roshan” to take a tour of Colombo and this was one of the best things I did on my trip. Roshan is very friendly and was more of a friend than your usual tour guide. He went out of his way to help me and always offered great advice. I will be back to Sri Lanka and will be requesting Roshan for my tour. Make sure you do the same!
