Excellent location near town centre, beach, restaurants. Rooms were very clean and well furnished, balconies with incredible views. Outside patio area was beautifully located overlooking the promenade and beach. I will There was a good selection at the breakfast buffet in a pleasant dining room. Staff were friendly and very helpful, especially when my husband had a flat tyre on departure. They helped him get it sorted. This is our third stay in Hotel Kristal and we will definitely stay again on our next visit to Durres. I recommend this hotel 100 per cent.

If I have to pick something, it would be that there is no lift, so I had to go slowly! However this would not be an issue for younger people!

Breakfast was decent. Not too many options, but tasty. Hotel next to the promenade and the sea consequently. Staff relatively friendly. Parking spots near the hotel. Very good WiFi coverage.

Noisy room in the morning, but it was the rumour of the streets that bothered us. The room has not a good sea view, but there are some other rooms that have. But the better view room was not cleaned when we arrived. No private parking. Odd smell in the bathroom, didn’t find a cause.

The hotel is located 30 meters from the beach. Our room was spacious and the breakfast was very good.

The reception lady had more interest in watching tv than in her customers.

Staff is very kind and helpful. Hotel location is very good. Near to beach, supermarkets, bakery bus station. You can go to almost every must visit places on foot. Our room doesn’t included teapot but we asked from reception and they gave us free of charge.

Internet connection is not good, i guess there are so many people connecting to the same wifi

For the money I paid it was much better than I expected, breakfast included, beautiful view first raw from the sea, great communication with the staf, I highly recommend this small beautiful place. I enjoyed so much the dinner and the morning coffee with Raki (I never drink alcohol in USA in the morning but here I really enjoyed it.)

The only thing they can improve is the mirror in the toilet, the mirror is really good and fancy with digital touch but I prefer little more illuminated for shaving in the morning.

I arrived later than planned after a delayed flight, the guy in reception just wouldn’t help me didn’t know how to check bookings etc thankfully I was with someone who could speak Albanian and was able to atleast find alternative accommodation over at the arvi. As a single lone female traveling here this was quite stressful and did put a downer on my stay. I chose Kristal because I stayed here back in 2009, I came back to Albania for sentimental reasons and glad I visited. I sent over a message and explained what happened, they apologised and said I could come and check in whenever and only pay for 2 nights. Ok so the rooms are old, hotel is old style,staff nice enough the manager nice man, breakfast I don’t see a problem similar over at the arvi I liked it! Nice enough. I had a lovely room with balcony could hear the sea during the night, very calming I didn’t mind the noises from music people etc that’s apart of being so close to the sea actually had a better sleep here than over the arvi where I was kept awake by very thin walls and erm loud noise! But overall I have been happy with my stay, I have been albania 5 times now the last time 10 years ago and the people are lovely, restaurant’s great, I’ll be back one day for sure and if Kristal is still around I’ll be back here too. Helped with transport to airport too, perfect!

i had no issues apart from the first night whilst was easily sorted.

The location is in a pedestrian zone and it is very quiet. It is a 2 minute walk to the town beach. In July it was too hot to be outside but In the evening many families walked in the area and sat in pavement cafes. There are small grocery stores and a bank ATM just a few minutes walk away. It's about a ten minute walk to the charming town centre. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The young ones spoke some English. It is a family run business and I felt relaxed and welcome. On the fourth floor my room had sliding doors to a large veranda with table and chairs. It had a panoramic view over the seaside promenade. There was plenty of variety at breakfast including western and Mediterranean, hot and cold. It is a short walk to several restaurants if you want variety. The owner was very kind to me when a taxi could not be found to take me to a nearby hotel. Thank you! Someone also helped me bring my heavy suitcase down from the fourth floor.

There was no lift (elevator) which was difficult for me, but I was given help to carry my heavy suitcase. On the fourth floor there is a very small step down in the middle of the corridor which you don't notice. I almost fell several times and once I jarred my back. I recommend painting the edge to make it visible. In my room the sliding doors could not be locked shut due to a maintenance issue. There was no flat surface in my room for using my laptop or for doing your make-up. In the shower room there was no shelf to stand my toiletries on.

We needed assistance after we lost some luggage and we were very much helped and comforted. Besides a pleasant stay, something like this is also very important!

It can, during the weekend, be a bit noisy on the boulevard (but then: lively is also nice and we choose the view on the boulevard ourselves, so 'what do you want?')

This hotel is a little gem we had a double room with a see view which was a direct front view which was amazing.The staff are all amazing very attentive.

The morning coffee is neither delicious nor strong.
