Excellent hotel with old beautiful architecture of Durres and nice interior design. The location is wonderful and ideal to discover the city, as it's located on the most beautiful avenue in the city, close to Venecian Tower, Port, Amphitheater, Waterfront and Center. It's the third time we come here and we are generally very pleased with the excellent cleanliness, the service and the friendly staff . Both times we had a balcony with a great view.

The last time we were put in a room at the back that didn't have a view & the breakfast was simple and poor, not too much to choose. One star less only for the breakfast.

Lovely spacious room. Bright and stylish with high ceilings. Very comfortable King size bed plus single. Lovely outlook over the square. Only 5 min walk to free public parking area, next to the ocean - beware the scammers who try to tell you to pay them. (Note: street in front of hotel is closed from 7 pm to 11 pm each day - you can't leave your car there). Great breakfast incl a proper cappuccino.

Need to carry your bags up stairs - no lift.

A tall elegant old building, which means that the rooms (in my case second floor) are up a lot of stairs. Staff will help carry bags if you wish. Though on a main central street, my room was at the side (at the end of the corridor nearer the centre of town direction) and was pretty quiet. Best to ask the staff about parking also, I tried to find parking myself and wasted quite a lot of time doing so. The location is very good, only a five or six minute walk from the main square. At the time I visited however bars and restaurants in the centre were closing relatively early, so don't leave it too late to go out for dinner or drinks, and popular places may be busy. Breakfast at Veliera was simple and fine. I think I remember that the room even had a kettle :-).

It was hot when I visited and I struggled to get the room temperature right. Probably best to balance having windows open when cool and using air conditioning to bring the temperature down a little when you need to.

The hotel is good. Place also was Ok, as I have travelled with colleague (lived in other hotel) and we had a car to go where is necessary. It is difficult to find place to park in this area, but it was manageable. The staff was helpful. The hotel don't have lift but staff takes care to bring your luggage.

The breakfast is simple, not too much to choose. Warm food - only boiled eggs.

Everything was very good, except for the coffee :) Location is top. The room is nice, the view is excellent.

Fabulous breakfast was the deciding factor for us when choosing this hotel, as we wanted to have some nice 'Albanian breakfast' experience. And it was completely not worth it. Next time I would choose a room without breakfast. The coffee was awful (we tried cappuccino and espresso). It didn't taste like coffee, even though it came out of the coffee machine. I had a feeling that the machine had never been cleaned, and coffee was really disgusting. Can be difficult to find parking, but we managed.

I messaged the hotel beforehand, they replied really fast. from the moment I arrived, till I left everyone was perfect. the staff is lovely, helpful, always there to assist you in whatever you need! they were a huge part of why I loved Durrës, Albania! the location is perfect!

Pleasant, hardworking staff. Large, well appointed room. Pretty good breakfast. Large, comfortable bed. Quite close to the port and the sea front where there are plenty of restaurants. Excellent value

No lift. It didn't bother us but it might some people. Although there was a kettle etc in the room, thunder was only herbal tea i.e, no black tea or coffee.

Excellent location, good breakfast. Friendly staff. Elma was extremely helpful getting us a taxi for our return to Tirana

After our first night (second day of our stay), the beds were not made, I am not talking about changing sheets, I am talking about beds not made when I returned after 3 pm, used tea cups still there. Only the bathroom was clean and towels replaced, I guess making the beds is not part of the service.

There was a misunderstanding with booking, where we wanted separated beds, but the hotel was not aware of that, although it shows correctly in booking app. So they offered us the bigger room instead without additional fee, which was nice.

Clean spacious rooms and the location close to the city of Durres.

In our case no seating inside for breakfast was available, so we had to sit outside which was not a big problem. These seats are situated next to a busier road.
