Zorba Waterfront Motel

location - could get there from Bermagui by bus, easy walking distance to Bay Pavilion Yuin theatre. The room was quite large, accommodating a double & 2 single beds. Not only was there a jug & a toaster, there was also a microwave …. terrific for a longer stay. The double bed was extremely comfortable (and tall enough that these 70 year old joints could get into, and out of, the bed easily). The staff were very friendly & helpful … I was able to leave my bags early on the day of arrival, and late on the day of departure….. and it was no trouble to give me extra yes bags late at night .

The room was showing it’s age a bit …. even so, it was absolutely clean, and comfortable. Shower was a just OK (for me, maybe perfect for others). Water saving (I know it’s necessary, but find it frustrating). But again, the room was terrific value for money .. no complaints about that.

Checked in after reception closed, but the system in place to check in after hours is so easy. The location of the hotel is excellent, a short walk up to the restaurants and shops. My room overlooked the river (and it was great to just sit on the balcony and look at the water; very relaxing). There is a pub across the road (but given the length of the carpark, you heard no noise). Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Couldn't ask for much more

I would only be nit-picking..... was not an issue, but maybe the furniture on the balcony could be more comfortable (padded chairs) as I did sit out there a fair bit. I was also in a corner room, and just feels a bit funny to have such a large window in the shower that opened straight out onto the top-level walkway. I showered with the light off at night.

The location is fantastic at Zorba, you can walk everywhere. This is one motel where the website listing matches reality. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean with good water pressure. We were upstairs so had a verandah to relax and have an evening drink on. It was the perfect spot to watch the sunrise from too. There are quite steep stairs up to the room but it's worth it given the water view. The only reason I didn't give a perfect rating was the lack of wine glasses and a face washer in the room but both were accommodated by the reception staff upon request.

We were upgraded to an ocean view room for an additional $10 The view was beautiful - except it was pouring rain - but even so was lovely to look out on the bay. Receptionist was great - she helped us by allowing us to park close to the room to unload (then we had to move to the carpark) and we also checked in right at 1pm and the room was ready (again that rain) I stayed in this motel back in the late 70's (and it has been updated since then) it was good then and is still good. Right in the centre of town.

Took us a while to sort Netflix - the motel's hotspot is not very hot. And dragging bags up to the first floor - but heh, if you want a view

The location is within walking distance to the entire town, the room was spacious and well maintained and comfortable. The view is of the river/ocean so very nice.

Not much but the first day we didn't have any hot water to the room but after telling the manager it was fixed within 2 hours maybe this comment should be under what I liked.

Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Very clear on service etc. Many recommendations for where to eat nearby. Once the car is parked everything is within walking distance. Room was a good size and the place was very clean. Close to many good eateries (we chose fish and chips from the Boathouse and the food was great).

The motel is located next to two pubs so there was quite a bit of background noise until the pubs closed. Unfortunately that is beyond the motel's scope to fix and is just a part of being in the centre of an Aussie town. Would recommend that if you are a light sleeper and go to bed early then stay somewhere out of the centre of town (away from convenient services).

Location, Location, Location. Also the room was excellent with a great view from room and balcony over the water. Water 30metre from room. On Arrival Staff greeted me with a big smile and we were able to check-in @ 13:30 which was great. Bed comfy with a nice lounge to sit on. We were in rm10. I had to call after hrs in morning because i drop my jar of Coffee all over the place . The lady that answered the phone went above and beyond, She gave me the code to lock box to get key to go into their main room to get a vacuum cleaner so i could clean up the mess. Vac returned and problem solved. I highly recommend this Motel it is Comfortable, smack bang in middle of Town so no need for car once parked. Staff fantastic 👏 👌, its just a Nice joint in a Fantastic spot

The room smelt like puppies.

Location was very convenient to the supermarkets and local shops (easy level walk or very quick drive), and having a kitchenette in the 2 bedroom apartment made it very convenient to prepare our own food. This was especially appreciated during this pandemic! Not sharing air between units and the front door opening to an outdoor walkway was also fantastic for the same reason. View was lovely and it was very clean and comfortable. Not fancy, but that isn’t important to me.

I don’t love people smoking on the balcony below as it meant we’d have to close our glass door and miss out on the breeze - however, it was a rare occurrence, and we could have turned on the air con if needed.

From the check in Sharon the manager was super friendly and extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble for her. We were supplied ice for our drinks whenever we requested and were also supplied cheese boards cheese knife, dinner plates and glasses so we could have a lovely fresh local seafood dinner on our rooms balcony (amazing water views)😍The bed was so comfortable, fantastic shower and beautifully clean room. Great location and everything is walking distance from the motel, I highly recommend staying at Zorba Waterfront Motel👍

We had to go home

Lovely riverfront property with comfortable, quiet rooms and a friendly, welcoming hostess. Being the start of a long weekend, I was concerned the venue's location in the middle of town and between hotels would be an issue but we had the best sleep of our three night trip here. Have stayed previously and would stay again.

Nothing that is within the venue's control. One wonders, however, when parents will once again teach their kids that running around making noise before 7am when staying at a hotel/motel is not only inappropriate, but selfish...
