Location is awesome, the hotel is on a really vibrant road with loads of cafes, bars and restaurants (checkout the avocado hut for an english egg and bacon muffin just a few mins walk on the same road, also right next door to the hotel is a fab Japanese takeaway where you can buy salads and sandwiches cheap). The beach is really close too about 8 mins walk. The hotel is really clean our room was cleaned everyday and was spotless. The pool and jacuzzi are a really nice area to relax and catch some rays, really decent and comfortable sun beds etc and big beach towels provided. The hotel doesn’t do food (just snacks) but they do have a vending machine and you have a fridge, and cutlery and coffee machine provided in your room, so if you fancy nipping to Aldi or grabbing a takeaway to eat in your room you have all the things you need etc complimentary bottled water is provided in your fridge daily.

No lift in the hotel, I’m sure this info will be on their website but I don’t remember seeing it so we had to carry suit cases up the stairs from reception, not a big issue for us, but could be for those with physical disabilities/elderly/children in prams etc the receptionist did offer to help though.

I booked this months ago for accomodation to attend a wedding. The Hotel let me know weeks later that they will be under going renovations and offered a discount for our stay/or to reschedule the stay for another time. I opted for the discount. When we checked in we were advised the room we booked was not available due to the renovations but they upgrade us to an apartment. The apartment was BEAUTIFUL ✨ Thank you for looking after us.

We stayed during renovations to the property and there was construction next door which meant a sleep in wasn’t possible but didn’t bother us much as we were out and about most days.

Great location within 5 minutes walk from the town center. Hotel was very clean with great-smelling candle perfuming the whole reception area (they sell them too!) Staff were very helpful and accomodating. We were able to leave our e-bikes safely in the garage area and also recharge them.

Our room was smaller than we expected and the bed, although comfy, was creaking a bit. Our room was roadside, and though not much noise from the road, next time I would try to get a room pool-side with a better view and quieter.

It's a mini resort. Fabulous accommodation. It was very clean. The pool and outdoor areas were great. Loved the sunbeams. Pool/Beach towels available too which was handy. Staff were amazing, super helpful and knowledgeable of the area. It's very close to town. Main Beach is 15 minutes walk. Lot's of shopping and restaurants close by. The Sunday Bakery has the best coffee and is 5 minutes walk away.

The doors to the balcony were very squeaky and caught the fly screens. I was also at the front of the property and could hear the traffic plus on the Friday there was a party over the road. If this bothers you request a room at the back of the property.

The room was clean, large and comfortable. The location was perfect! Close enough to the action but far enough that we could have a quiet night and a peaceful sleep if we wanted an early night. The main highlight was the helpful and friendly staff who ensured we were well looked after during our whole stay. Great value for money at the time of our booking.

Not too much that we didn't like. We were informed of some renovations and improvements that were going on during our stay but this had very little impact on our experience overall.

Clean, lovely renovated rooms and friendly staff. Staff were helpful dealing with any issues or queries. Hotel is close to town without being too close to busy areas. Walking distance to shops/town centre

Unfortunately heavy construction happening next door currently meant you couldn’t stay in the room during business hours comfortably due the vibration and noise. Significant noise transmission from room above into our room, I.e. footsteps at night on hard floors

The rooms were lovely. the staff were extremely helpful. the pool area was relaxing.

the stairs!! only when you needed to carry suitcases up and down! it’s not fair on the staff who were very insistent on taking my suitcase up. there should be a small service lift for this purpose. I saw another family struggle with a pram. not convenient. the other thing, although my fridge was clean it has a pungent smell to it. I tried cleaning it out but that smell was still there and every time I opened it, the room would smell.

Our second time here at the The Lord Byron, and it never disappoints! Fantastic service and anemities and walking distance to shops & restaurants. Love the tasteful coastal interior! Love how each room has a balcony and lovely scent when you walk into reception.

We were on the second floor and there is unfortunately no elevator so it can be challenging when you have heavy luggage although the reception staff are always willing to help with luggage

Reception staff were lovely and nothing was too difficult for them. The apartment was so refreshing and spacious. Even the kitchen utensils supplied! Everything we needed to make the weekend peaceful and relaxed. Thank you all for making our stay so comfortable. And offering us a late check out on our last day was such a nice touch. Just wonderful. We will be back!

Really cute hotel, 10 minute walk from the beach but right amongst lots of cafes, restaurants and shops. Decor was lovely and my room was clean and comfortable. The pool area was lovely and you can order food and drinks to your sun-lounger! Check out is midday.

Checkin is not until 3pm, which is really late!! There were no teabags in my room, just coffee and I hate coffee so that was annoying.
