really nice bathrooms, always clean, lots of outdoor space, good common areas The staff were really professional and helped me switch rooms as well when I felt uncomfortable. Great people and would highly recommend as a stay

I have no real complaints, but I found it a bit odd that they were cleaning the bathrooms in the morning at 7:30 when it was prime time for them to be used (They would still let us use them if no one was actually inside), in addition, someone was buffering the floor at 6:30 am for 30 minutes waking everyone up. I cant complain too much as the hostel was very clean, but just odd hours.

Absolute gem! Super cheap for a great hotel like room. Bathrooms are always spotless and cleaned multiple times a day. You can control the temperature of your room. Personnel is simply adorable, always ready to help, asking you about your day and genuinely giving you advice about what to do and where to go. Always smiling and ready to help, but no help is needed because everything is great! Great cafe next door for yummy breakfasts, walking distance to the main beach and all the little shops of the city There's even free parking around. What more could you ask for ?

Be carefull, parking clearance is 2meters high (not enough for some vans)

There are three big points. ①Anyway, the staff is a reliable place. If you are in trouble, you will definitely help me. ② The kitchen and toilet are all cleaned and it's very clean. ③ The guests staying at the hotel are warm and welcoming. You don't feel alone Even if the nationality is different. ---------------------------------- Kanami, one of the staff, is very wonderful. When I talked to her, I was able to relax and enjoy my stay here. Max,one of the staff, worked hard to solve the troubles that occurred during my journey. I left my cell phone on the bus and my cell phone went to Brisbane. He called the bus company over and over again so that I could get my cell phone back. It was enough to impress me. Thank you sooo much, Max!made my Byron LIFE.

The wall is thin, so you can hear the voice of the person next to me. But I think it's not bad normal at a backpacker hotel.

The rooms were clean, amenities were licked. I loved the pool, it was great, but not nice that it was closed in the morning hours for some divers. Kitchen was good and clean. Workers really cared about it

The beds were not comfy, as it was used so much that you got forced in the middle of the mattress. Were not the only one that said this. The kitchen was sometimes a bit to small for all the ppl. But not that of a problem. Surfboards hire is a bit expense, as we got it for free in Newcastle YHA, here it was 15$ for "half of day" which is only 4 hours?! 12÷2 is 6 not 4.

Yoga class was so good!! Only $5 but make sure you pre book day before as gets booked out quick! Bed was surprisingly comfy, nice showers, so much social space, and huge kitchen with all appliances you’d need! Became more social the longer I was there too! And although it was annoying some evenings being pushed out of social areas at 10pm for noise, I’d respect that as someone who enjoys an earlier night sometimes. Rooms seemed pretty sound and light proof which meant I slept super well and air con was really good (one of only Yha hostels I’ve stayed at that actually has Aircon!!)

Showers/toilets could’ve been cleaned abit more frequently! Another microwave would’ve been nice to prevent waiting in busy times. Would’ve perhaps liked more activities on during days and evenings too? Can be hard to mix as a solo traveller so any activities that help with that are awesome! Other nearby hostels also give free drink voucher to nearby bars, which would be nice!

Yoga for the extra $5 was so worth it, really enjoyed it. Massive kitchen and all utensils you’d need, lots of cupboard and fridge space too. Comfy beds, never had to wait for a shower or toilet. So much social space! And really nearby everything you need.

Wasn’t sociable at first, a weird mixture of people working/trying to find work who didn’t want to talk, and people travelling. Kitchen got quite gross and relied on guests cleaning plates etc so I always felt the need to re wash before I used anything. At times almost too much social space so people were spread out and that made it feel a little less social I guess.

The staff were very helpful and friendly allowing us to store our luggage and giving us access to showers and pool before check in time as we arrived early in the morning. The kitchen was large enough to allow many people to cook and wash up at the same time. The room was clean and comfortable with good AC. The location is ideal - so close to the beach and the supermarkets, bars and restaurants - yet still quiet at night time.

There wasn’t a lot of sun beds by pool so it was generally full all day and we didn’t get to avail of the pool as much as we would have liked - of course the beach is close by so it’s not a major complaint! There is no elevator so it was a bit tricky getting large suitcases up the stairs - maybe request a ground floor room if you have big bags!

We had such a great stay here, the staff were so welcoming and friendly and made everything easy. The place itself has great vibes and feels very homey and chilled, plenty of places to socialise and chill (pool and dining area) and a lot of space in the fridge and cupboards for people to store food. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking a lot of meals and the hostel hosted bbq night and put on activities which was great. The location is unmatched, a five minute walk from the main beach and town and the chance to hire surfboards from the reception. We stayed in a private room which was spotless and comfortable, bathrooms clean and spacious, only thing was no hand dryers but that's literally the only thing I could possibly think to improve! Honestly really enjoyed our stay here and we were sad to leave!

Our stay was quite pleasant. We had a private room with one queen size bed and one small bed, both were very comfortable. They also provided towels for us. The shared bathroom was quite clean. The hostel is close to the beach and not too far from most restaurants, cafés and supermarkets in the area. It was surprisingly quiet and the pool area was also nice.

I would be careful leaving opened food in the rooms as there are ants coming through the window and they will be all over the food.

Friendly environment and fair-sized rooms. The bathrooms are recently renovated and kept very clean. Showers are hot with great water pressure and plenty of fridge space in the kitchen. The pool is large with plenty of deckchairs available for guests.

The quantity of utensils within the kitchen facilities were disappointing. Limited resources for cooking meant overcrowding and long wait times. The venue has no oven or air fryer, meaning only meals suitable for cooking by microwave/stove-top are possible. There was a scuba diving class operating in the swimming pool all day meaning use of this facility, that was paid for during the stay, was not available. Unfortunately towels are not included.
