Acacia Motor Lodge

Different room this time but still ground level as requested. Again, the room size was huge with a large bathroom, entrance shoe cupboard and a wardrobe. A handy long bench with desk. Two entrances to the room, one being a back sliding door leading to a balcony with an outdoor setting overlooking the pool. It had a bathtub although we didn't use it. Parking was a breeze right at the front door. A great place to stay for a night or a week as it is really that roomy. There is apparently even a laundry available that is free for guests to use. The guy at the desk was very friendly. The place was booked out which says something :) I would definitely stay again.

This was a different room and the walls near the single bed and especially the one near the bin area are in need of a clean, there were a few strange red marks on the bathtub and the toilet roll kept coming off the holder. Nothing major wrong though just different to the cleanliness of the previous room. While not the fault of the motor lodge, the whole town experienced a blackout on our arrival this time, so all shops shut, including the service station. Woolworths stayed open for a while for non-refrigerated goods as they had back-up power for the registers. I was not made aware of any gas bbq to heat something for dinner or boil some water for a cup of coffee. Little battery run night lights could be offered to guests in such a situation next time maybe?

Room size was huge. Large bathroom. There were two entrances to the room as there was a back sliding door. It had a bathtub although we both only had time for a shower during our stay. There was a pool available just out the back door and an outdoor setting, this would be great with warmer weather. Parking was an ease right at the room's front door. Comfortable beds. You can order both dinner and breakfast if you choose to. A great place to stay while visiting the Sliding Springs Observatory as well as the fossil and mineral museum (Crystal Kingdom). A star gazing show is also available in town on clear nights.

Couch was aged, saggy and uncomfortable. Pipes squealed when in use (and when other rooms used their showers too).

The rooms at the Acacia Hotel are the best rooms in Coonabarabran, spacious, clean, comfortable and bathrooms even have a bath. Beds are comfortable, warm and the TV's are a reasonable size too. Ideally situated within walking distance to the Golden Sea Dragon, Bowling Club and Imperial Hotel. Easy parking

Very hard to get a room at last minute, need to book in advance to ensure that there is a room available. Plan ahead. Don't go through booking agencies or apps, book direct with management. Yet to try the restaurant for either breakfast or dinner.

Bob was exceptional and went above and beyond to meet all of our needs without hesitation. He made us feel very welcome and provided exceptional customer service. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Hotel is situated in the heart of Coonabarabran, surrounded by everything you need within walking distance. I highly recommend Acacia Motor Lodge.. Thank you for your hospitality Bob☺️

The room was a good size, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was functional. Access and parking was very good. Although there are not many restaurants in town they are all an easy walk from the hotel and local food was very good. There is a large Woolworths shop within 500 meters from the hotel and the National Park is an easy drive away.

On arrival the dog next door barked continuously but by the time we returned from dinner the issue had been resolved and didn't reoccur for the rest of our stay. Breakfast was very basic (due to covid staff shortages) but did the job. Initially our air conditioner wouldn't warm the room but the manager brought us a space heater which did the job and the next day the air conditioner started working correctly.

CHECKIN - was smooth and fast with a very friendly greeting. PARKING - FREE parking outside your room (lower level). No undercover available. FLOORS - 2 ROOM - top floor accessible by stairs. Our room (ground level) was extremely clean and comfortable with Reverse cycle Aircon. It was huge with a large lounge chair and coffee table to the side. Must say this was one of the most cleanest, perfectly laid out motel rooms we have seen. A lot of time and care has been taken into presenting this room. SHOWER - pressure was not great but lots of hot water, a shelf and had a glass panel one side and shower curtain. Unfortunately, there was a fair bit of water going all over the bathroom floor. The bathroom was huge and even had a full size bathtub. LOCATION - Walking distance to Restaurants and shops. The onsite Restaurant was excellent.

everything if you are after a long or short stay I highly recommend Acacia Motor Lodge the rooms were a 10/10 for cleanliness and the space was fantastic we loved everything about it the pool is huge and really clean the bathroom was brilliant and modern Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in our future travels from Victoria to Queensland Thankyou so much everyone They even had room service and we enjoyed our dinner very much and the cleaning staff should be commended for doing a wonderful job

Nothing it was awesome

Adequate parking close to rooms. Very pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms, largest we have stayed in. Full size bath and walk in shower with rain-head nozzle. Comfortable sofa and generously stocked tea/coffee tray, replenished during our stay. Close to the Newell Highway through town, we weren't disturbed by overnight truck traffic. Two or three minute walk into the centre of town.

This property certainly exceeded our expectations. Plenty of room, huge bathroom and shower with decent hot water. It also had a bath which we were keen to use after a day's hiking to soothe aching limbs, but we opted for the shower. We'd run out of time to get ready to go to dinner.

A larger TV in the room would have been nice, but we weren't there to sit in the room all the time and watch TV.

The room was very spacious and very well appointed. It had very good Wi-Fi. The bathroom was also large and again very well appointed, looking like it had recently been renovated.

As a Genus 2 member of Booking.com I was very disappointed to see the following comments for Breakfast at this motel... "A complimentary breakfast is offered to all direct bookings... Unfortunately, due to the hefty commission charged by non-direct bookings we are forced to charge a small fee for breakfast. " We felt like we were imposing on this hotel....
