Staff were very good and accomodating

Was booked into what we thought from booking.com the last room available. It was a pet friendly room, we don't have pets but we needed a room. It had a pet aroma but it was the last room. The front door lock decided to freeze and we could not get out except with some force. Tried to help staff with a repair but it would not work. Management then found us a double room on the other side of the motel. An extremely comfortable room with no odour. If we had known this room was available we would not have booked a pet friendly room. The rate for this room was less than the one we had booked so i wasted my reward paying for it. Will definitely double check availability with the motel/ hotel next time.

A nice clean room with tea and coffee making facilities, good sized room with lots of space and a couch or chairs to sit on. I would happily use it again.

I couldn't get the internet to work but that my have been user error, the walls seem a bit thin, or the bloke next door was the worlds loudest snorer as I could hear him through the wall, the restaurant was closed while I was there but I don't know if that was just the day I was there (a Saturday) or a permanent thing.

Check in was easy. Our room was huge with 2 double beds and 2 single beds. Lots of bench space. Easy access power points. The bathroom was a decent size. The shower was a good size as well. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

There wasn't a lot not to like. Only a couple of little things that didn't ruin our stay but were just inconvenient. Our room's cold water tap in the bathroom sink did not work and we had other cutlery but no teaspoons.

The staff was sensational! The room was very comfortable for the whole family. It was the perfect location to stop on our drive north to Queensland. And the dinner recommendation at the Imperial Hotel was perfect!

This is an older establishment so be aware of this. Plus, it is near the main road so you will hear trucks driving past all night. And, perhaps, the dark brick could do with a lightening up.

Unfortunately we arrived at night and left first thing, so they kids didn’t get to make use of the play equipment, but were eager to do so, they would have enjoyed the change from the boring car if we were there during daylight hours. So the play equipment and pool are a bonus. (If your staying more than just at night) I was impressed they had microwaves and food onsite, which was greatly appreciated, as we had been traveling 11 hours and weren’t keen to go back in the car to get dinner.

The heating could have been better. Air conditioners blow, although they heat, the air gets cooler by the blowing. We had travelled from a snowy region which had radiator/oil heaters which kept the rooms warm. When we stayed here the temperature was actually lower than where we came from & was the only place that didn’t have these type of heaters.

Familiarity and known quality in a motel we have used for many years at different times of the year. Outdoor BBQ next to restaurant was handy for cooking some meat and our own breakfast. Too cold to use the pool in winter of course but nice in warmer months.

Bathrooms are starting to look a bit dated. Difficult to fill up water bottles in shallow wash basins. Could have used extra blankets for winter cold in June 2022 when we last visited as we don't like to leave reverse cycle aircon on during the night. Luckily we had a doonah in the car.

Late arrival 700 km into 2500 k 3 day trip. EVERYTHING we needed at 10 pm at night was there....from heat lamps in bath room to the smallest kitchenette item you might require. Great beds, great location to get back on road early.

Good location, only a short drive to town. The lady at the front desk was pleasant,I think her name was Grace.

Unfortunately the television didn’t work. No signal. I think they should have signs reminding people to keep their noise to a minimum. Nothing worse than a truck running for ten minutes outside your room at 11 at night when you are trying to get to bed. Then the occupants talking for another 15 minutes just outside your window.

Property was well maintained. Room was clean and comfortable. We got fresh milk for our tea and coffee. We had dinner and breakfast here and both were good value and tasty. Alison ( who was the owner I found out the next day) helped me as our star gazing tour was cancelled, she went above and beyond to help find us another one. 😊 Great place and super friendly people, I would definitely recommend this place.

Rooms are a bit dated but good value for money. Book early for discounts. New owners are friendly and are slowly working on upgrading the property. Recommend room service dinner for country food. Pool area has been upgraded and looks good. Pet friendly.

The rooms need upgrading, but they are still quite comfortable. Good motel for a quick overnight stay.
