Always a pleasure to stay at The Carlton Suites. More parking has been added. Always clean. Easy walk to a few good eateries. Not a lot of street noise at night.

The door to the upstairs apartments needs a good oil. It made a horrible noise every time someone opened it and a worse noise when self closing.

The room was good but that was all that was good!!

When we arrived, the door was locked, and we could not find anybody there at all on the premises. Two other couples turned up while I was phoning the contact number I found on the paperwork. The gentleman on the phone was very non-committal and said, "oh I will be there in 10-15 minutes." We waited at least 20 minutes and there was no apology. Once he was there, he checked us in, and I was extremely surprised that we did not have to fill in any paperwork. I also asked if there was a ground floor room as we are elderly and he said I can see your email about this, but we did not respond to you and your room is upstairs. So, we had to climb up 16 steps very carefully. The "staff" service was very disappointing to say the least!!

The room was spacious, the shower was excellent, beds were comfy, bowls plates mugs and cutlery were provided with a fridge and microwave, which meant we could dine in sometimes. It was clean and quiet. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but the rooms are renovated and pleasant inside. It's a great location very central to town and the local park for kids.

It was a room for 4 but the table and chairs were for 2. A couple of fold up chairs in the cupboard would be good for the extra guests. More hooks or towel racks would also be good.

The room was well appointed, well thought out, clean, and functional. There was a microwave a large fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, milk and biscuits. There was a set of toiletries and the bathroom and the entire room very clean

The public areas of the property let the place down a bit. It needs a good sweep and clean. The pathways were untidy the front foyer could be smarter. The hallway was made of hard surfaces which made it a little bit noisy but only slightly

Location was perfect, right next to woolies and the info centre where we were being picked up for a wedding so everything was walking distance. Don’t be fooled by the exterior of the place because the rooms were lovely. Rooms are spacious and clean. Thank you to the staff for locating my wallet I had left behind on New Years Day and keeping it safe 😅 lesson learnt; remember to check every space before leaving 🤦🏼‍♀️

The booking, stay and checkout were totally fuss free. The room was a reasonable size and beds were comfy. Shower was good and so was heating as it was -7.9c in the morning when we left. All advertised facilities were in good condition with no old stuff. Also being just a block down from the Soldier Club which is a great dinner option meant we could walk there and back. We were a little worried when we saw that the railway is over the road but you can barely here them for inside the rooms.

Not that it can be changed that much, the exterior of the site is a bit 'underwhelming'. You can see that work is being done to resolve this and I think that this will help with drive-up business. For what we needed (a room for he night) this was not a problem as the room interior was well presented. Noise was a bit of an issue as the corridor door closer slammed the door shut and this woke us up with a couple of late arrivals. Our room door also had a bit of play, so when the corridor door got yanked open the vacuum effect rattled our door each time.

Staff was fabulous with communication and availability. The room was spacious and very clean, lots of storage. Comfortable beds but the pillows were very thin. Addition of a lamp, more than one towel hook for a family bathroom and bathroom bin would have been great but they are the only things we could fault. Location is fabulous with Bellmore park, Soldiers club and cafes close by. Super easy to access. Thank you for our stay.

Room was clean n tidy . Beds were very comfy . Pressure in the shower was awesome plus huge shower head. Plenty of room in the shower. Towels etc soft n very white. Rooms are back from the main road didnt hear much noisecfrom the traffic.

There was no sponge to wash up with used my fingers to wash dishes etc. Needs a lounge in room if more than two ppl have to sit on beds. Chairs not comfy to sit n watch tv on.Downside no window only one in bathroom felt like we were in a small box. No small plates only large dinner plates. No bread board to use while preparing food. Pillows all need to be replaced they nearly all had sweat stains a blood stain was found on one of my pillows . Need to have pillow protectors to protect oriniginal pillows from stains.🤔

Convenient location - short walk to food and shops; nice range of facilities for eating and drinking; the most comfortable queen mattress we have slept on in a hotel in several years!; outstandingly good illumination of the car park area to deter crime; Good, recent model smart TV allowed us to stream Netflix and Disney from our own accounts.

The TV was not connected to the internet. We had to connect via hotspot on our phones.

Conveniently located, and the availability to check in after hours. Lovely rooms, great shower area and shower, and good kitchenette facilities.

Parking was all taken (in particular one vehicle was parked across 4 spaces (included a trailer). And another vehicle was parked across 2 spaces. Would have liked a room to have a double bed and two single beds in it, rather than 2 double beds.
