Southern Railway Hotel Goulburn

This is a very friendly and welcoming hotel, and the accommodation is very reasonably priced. We had a great dinner in the hotel restaurant - excellent produce, beautifully prepared, and there is a nice selection of local wines. There is some free off-street parking behind the hotel, and it's just a short walk to the main shopping street.

Bear in mind that this grand old federation-era building is still being restored; no running water in the bedrooms or in the guest kitchen, and limited shared bathroom facilities.

Easy to find, good location, very close to essentials like Woolworths and the train station. Staff were friendly, Bed was comfy, and there was lots of parking available.

The room had a fair bit of dust ontop of the wardrobe, and along the skirtings. It wasn't an issue for us but I could see it being a problem if you have allergies or asthma etc

The location was ideal being right across the road from the train station. Beautiful old pub with gorgeous stained glass windows. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was a comfortable, clean and perfect place to explore the town from before catching my train out the next day.

The door to the verandah was locked so I couldn't sit outside and watch the world go by. (Probably due to Covid restrictions limiting spaces).

Friendly staff and patron's great selection drink's & menu's. Comfortable and staff are happy to help with your needs. My only gripe you can hear all of your neighbours but great value for money.

The shared unisex shower/bathroom a lock & a shelf could help.

The staff, the food, slept very good

WiFi reception didn't work in my room. Probably because it was at the far end. Room could've been a bit more updated but to my understanding, owners are busy doing so. My room just wasn't done yet.

I absoulutely loved the theme /decor throughout the whole of the hotel - it has so much charm, history and character. The staff were really warm and friendly. Upstairs you can sit on the large historic verandah and watch the world go by while you have a cup of tea in the morning or enjoy a evening wine - its truely beautiful and peaceful. I loved the outdoor garden area too - garden fairy lights, fruit tree and soo peaceful!

Location hotel was clean and friendly had a common area to make tea and coffee and a microwave

Had a meal at the pub and it was excellent. Staff extremely friendly. Shared facilities where surprisingly good! No issues.

Could smell cigarette smoke from the games room in our room.

food was amazing

Everythbing waszx gret. The food was very well cooked. Overall it is excellent value. I have stayed before and would stay again.
