The room was very clean and very good value and the staff were very friendly .

The carpark was very crowded with no dedicated parking for motel users i had to park out in the street. The Bluetooth was very poor and kept on timing out later on I found out why apparently the wifi is only available inside the pub which is very annoying . It would be great if there was a microwave in the room with plates and cutlery but I suppose the astor management want you to exclusively eat in the pub bistro. I have one complaint about the staff the man who checked me in couldn't been a bit more friendly and enthusiastic when checking people in

The room was a reasonable size for 3 single beds, clean and well presented. The beds were comfortable. It had a bar fridge with a freezer that actually worked. The staff at the hotel were friendly & accommodating. Because it was a motel attached to a pub, reception was available for extended hours.

Being on the second floor, made it a little difficult for my friend with bad knees - I should have requested ground floor. The shower was a little awkward in its placement but great flow. It was a little noisy in the morning with movement along the common balcony outside and voices in the car park.

Great location. Pub food is trying to be upmarket to charge more. Plenty of other eateries within walking distance if wanted. The room could have been bigger for price and shower. The AC worked well and snake was provided for the gap under the door. No microwave (as I assume they want people to buy their food from the pub), but had everything else expected in a motel room. Being the upstairs down back room there was a bright sign out the back of the room which showed through the smallish window beside the bed. A fix was to just open up the shutters and stuff the 2 extra pillows in the window and close the shutters and it helps that issue. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful and go out of their way to help you. The prices are possibly inflated because there are heaps of tradies in the area atm.

Small room for the price. Bathroom is small. Could hear music and patrons from out back of pub. Parking is tight but effective. Street parking is also close and available.

Excellent central location. Definite value for money in the budget traveller accommodation category. Huge room with brilliant facilities, and despite the location on the corner of the main route through town and my room being right on the road frontage - on a busy Friday night - it was surprisingly and blissfully quiet.

When I switched on the heater, it was set to 30 degrees, and I immediately knocked it down to 22. I soon realised why. The heater was hopeless and even when I put it back up to 30, it was still cold by the time I went to bed. I spent the evening with a blanket draped over me to stay warm. It got down to 3 degrees that night. I hope they fixed it for tonight because it's forecast to be -1 degrees.

Location was perfect as we had a party at the pub - beds & pillows super comfy

We found several of the staff weren’t soo ‘warm’ - had to engage with- the older chap that checked us in & some bar staff- however- the chap with blonde mullet style hair & young lady with braces & two long braids awesome- coming from a hospitality background & originally rural NSW, I would have thought more country hospitality would have been afforded but nup.. and is it normal that the staff help themselves to the party food platters- never in my life have I seen this before however he may have asked the host?

We arrived just after 10pm and were made to feel very welcome. Our room had a double bed and single bed which suited us perfectly and it was spotless. We were able to get a car spot even though we arrived later on a Saturday evening. The music from the hotel wasn't too noisy.

There was only 1 teaspoon but as we were only staying 1 night it wasn't a big problem. The bathroom is quite old fashioned but very clean. It would have been helpful to have curtains on all windows to block out some light. The pillows were quite firm.

The family room was spacious and clean, beds comfy, kitchen good. Restaurant food is excellent. Very popular

The noise. The family room is overlooking the main street. Street noise an issue in regards to (young) patrons arriving/exiting the hotel and the bar music can be loud at night. If you had kids would be a real issue trying to get them to sleep. Need ear buds and eye patches as street lighting is an issue in main bedroom overlooking street.

I travelled with my son to watch summernats. We stayed here as it was a nice halfway point from home. The Astor is definitely a place we will stay at again in the future. The rooms were immaculate. When we got back from the summernats the staff had tidied our room an replaced towels etc.The staff in the hotel were friendly and accommodating and the food was amazing. We felt like we had been going there for years. Hats off to the staff at the Astor. You helped make our weekend away perfect.

Only thing we didn't like was that we couldn't have window open for fresh air, though in saying that the air conditioner did a fantastic job.

Convenient to shops etc Booking, check in/check out all pretty easy & straightforward. Friendly & helpful staff Meals were also great (at onsite pub)

Parking (even getting there just before 2pm) there were no carparks available for accomodation guests - had to move vehicles as pub patrons left premises throughout the afternoon. Pretty tight spaces because no one seemed to park straight or within their selected space. Pub patrons over accomodation guests seems weird.
