Byer Fountain Motor Inn

Quiet location, excellent contactless process meant that I could check in late in the evening without issue. Excellent property to deal with when I had to make a last-minute booking with them that evening.

The bathroom light switch in my room was iffy - would take some wiggling to remain on properly and not flicker. Cleaning staff would’ve definitely noticed this issue when servicing the room. This was the only issue though - otherwise very happy with the stay and grateful to Kavita for her pleasant service!

This was a very affordable room. It was on the retro side, but had many thoughtful additional touches to make us feel welcome, comfortable and organised. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful and the communication regarding our late arrival due to car trouble, was very considerate and helpful. Hospitality done well. Plenty of room for parking.

There was nothing to dislike, the fit out is old but well maintained and equipped. Quite cute really.

Provision of all necessary amenities expected. They included: Comfortable bed, blankets & exceptionally clean & fresh linen, sofa with two comfortable chairs, microwave, television, efficient r/cycle aircon, toaster, telephone, crockery & cutlery, bar fridge, wine glasses, good lighting and power sockets, appropriate furnitures for elevated storage of travel case, clean bathroom, free parking right next to the room & room service for breakfast if required.

Room space very tight and no soap or shampoos provided except the provision of hand wash.

I have stayed here several times driving between Sydney and Melbourne, for value for money and convenience. Like most motels in country towns its a bit dated and for example bathroom not as fancy as a newer one but for me the convenience and efficiency outweighs that. They also can supply meals which in Holbrook is important, little is open except fast food at night. Its very easy to get to from either Highway exit.

Easy checkin via non-contact messaging, key left in room as we were also arriving late. Small room but okay with family of four. The onsite restaurant was a bonus, also had dinner ordered via messaging before we arrived, then our meal was served upon sitting down. The meals and dessert were perfect as was the service. Happy to recommend, also chose because of being a smaller and more quieter town on our way home to Vic from being away, rather than the next noisier area of Albury/ Wodonga.

It is difficult to find things not to like. It had all that we needed for a quick overnight stop. The room was on the small side when the trundle bed was pulled out to allow for two adults and two kids, with very little walk between.

The motel was in a quiet street, the grounds and the room were clean and tidy, check in and checkout was easy, and the owner communicated with us before hand clearly explaining the check in process. It is an older motel but perfectly adequate and used the available space well. .

We would have appreciated a mosquito/fly screen on the window so that we could have opened it in the early evening.

Small room but excellent use of the space small sitting area. Great lighting, something of a rarity in some motels. It is an old building bit worn around the edges but is well maintained, great water pressure in shower. Lovely garden. Cannot comment on staff as did not see them all done remotely. Booking .com need to address this in feed back questions as so much communication since COVID is done on line.

Nothing really

Everything. The exterior of the hotel was fab..retro feel, neat and tidy. Pool was an unexpected delight. Rooms were clean.

Rooms were dated... while there was something nostalgic about that... however the chairs in the room were on tad on the clunky chucky side for the room. The laminated everything could do with an update ... but was fine and functional

My room was just as needed - clean, comfortable and warm with all the basics covered. Especially appreciated the electric blanket on a cold night and the hot dinner served in the restaurant very promptly. Kavita is an excellent communicator. When I arrived at my end destination I discovered a good friend had also stayed at Byer the week before and we agreed that this was a great place to stay. We appreciated the friendly, efficient service.

It is a really nice room as a half way stop for us from Melbourne to Canberra. There is a pub with nice food in the middle of town and is not far from the Motor Inn. Every thing is clean and nice fresh bed sheets Definitely good place to stay.

No cooked breakfast provided except hamper breakfast cost 12 dollars per head. Not a big problem as we just drove to next town Gundagai to Niagara Cafe for breakfast.😀
