Thurgoona Country Club Resort

Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with multiple options. Dinner was lovely the first night and although the roast the second night was nice it was a little light on. Absolutely flat out the 2nd night in the restaurant though so we made allowances for staff being extremely busy. All staff we had any interaction with were helpful and friendly. Love the cafe options for sandwiches, cakes and coffee etc. Prices very reasonable. Easy check in/out. Room nice. Air con worked great and shower was good size and water pressure. Bed comfortable.

Didn't really appreciate a knock on the door before 9am from housekeeping when we were hoping to have a sleep in! If guests are there for more than one night perhaps a later time to check on guests staying a few nights would be better? It would be nice for people to have the option of sleeping in until later while having a mini break without being disturbed when they are so used to having to usually get up before 6am! Or the option of being able to pop a "do not disturb" sign on the door? Pillows were too soft and flat for me but my partner likes them that way so it comes down to preference. Perhaps 2 soft and 2 a bit firmer would suit all needs? Both small things but things that did affect the stay for me.

I loved the location, my room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The spa in my room was terrific. My porterhouse was beautifully cooked and quality meat.

The phone in my bedroom (room25) wouldn't connect with reception. I pressed "0" first, I tried just pressing 9. I had to call for room service from my mobile. It couldn't be helped but the spa/sauna was under maintenance. As reception had been moved to the main club house - I would have to walk down to get a key/towels to use the spa or pool.

Location was great with nice restaurant for dinner lunch or breakfast. Food was lovely and a couple of minutes walk from the room. Room was large and spacious. Bed comfortable.

Not a huge issue but the pillows were way too soft for me although find for my partner so personal choice I guess but a couple of firm and a couple of softer pillows would be good to cater for everyone.

Lovely room with a garden view, comfortable bed, teas, coffees, and biscuits. No microwave but a kettle and fridge. Good size and functional for work or leisure. Easy access to Charles Sturt Uni, groceries and local cafes. Very pleasant stay and would happily stay again.

Tv movie channels didn't seem to work/ were loaded with raunchy selections 😅😅

We were there on a golfing trip. The golf course was excellent. Wouldn't mind going back there to play again. Food in the bistro was good, and serving was generous. Staff were very friendly . The room was clean and comfortable.

The rooms would do well with an upgrade to the carpets and the lighting. It was a bit dim in the room. The heating for the room was good.

It was the perfect location for me (and also nice and close to the shops). The room was very comfortable and extremely quiet. Parking was easy. It was nice looking out onto the course.

It was all very nice but if I had to mention anything, the furniture needed dusting and the lighting in the room was a bit too dim for my liking. These were minor issues though. I’d stay again.

This is an honest, super clean and comfortable place to stay, overlooking a lovely golf course. parking right outside room, refrigerator in room. Terrific value for money. Breakfast was also excellent value for money.

Sadly, weather was raining, so we drove to the golf club for breakfast instead of walking over.

We loved the room and the big spa, stayed for our 30th wedding anniversary trip. The room was spotless and we enjoyed sitting out at the outdoor table and chairs watching the bird life around the golf course. Breakfast in the club was lovely and the staff very friendly.

No complaints at all.

We liked the quiet location and the view over the golf course. The rooms were large and clean.

There was no microwave in the kitchenette and the lighting was very dim- no reading lights next to the beds. There was no safety railing in the pool for people to walk in and out on the steps.

The room was cleaned well each day, there was a gym and tennis courts. Very good value for money, walking distance (5 mins) to shops and university. Restaurant was very good value for money with room service available. I'll be back!
