Breakfast was not available at the Holbrook Hotel but it was only a short distance to the bakery. The renovation of the hotel was very tastefully done with a smart country vibe about it. The bed was very comfortable and the room was warm and cosy once we found the heating control outside in the hallway. The food in the restaurant was superb - excellent steaks and a delicious pie.

Just a couple of small suggestions- a shower cap and a hairdryer in the room. No one travels with a dryer these days and a shower cap is not considered a luxury either.

A stylish and beautiful revamp of a grand old building. A great vine- the food was imaginative and extremely good, the staff were inviting and warm, our room was beautifully appointed. On the night we arrived there was live music, loud enough to capture your attention but not overwhelming. The location is very good. All in all, we just to come back for more of everything.

No breakfast was available and the local cafes didn't open until 9am, well after we had left. The room heater did not work but the temperature was still comfortable though not as toasty as I would have liked.

our room was very comfortable with an amazing shower. The bed was very comfortable. Can go downstairs for a Pub Meal which was delicious. I loved the beautiful Verandah upstairs, which overlooks the park. Another great thing is that it has a lift, which is wonderful and saves lugging suitcases upstairs. The whole hotel has obviously recently been renovated but kept the old hotel style.

We stayed in Room 1, and it overlooked the bar section, so we constantly got the noise so the “tap tap” as the coffee ground were shaken out and the sound of the drinks being mixed. I am sure if a double glazed window was put in this would solve this problem. The other disappointment was that there was no hairdryer.

Lovely hotel, nice community feel, renovated rooms that looked great. Nice comfy bed. Lovely staff. This isn't what you would expect of a hotel like this but the room was cosy & far exceeded my expectations.

Only thing that was a let down was the noise. Could have been some kind of hotel generator of a sort but came on and off & interrupted sleep. Other thing was leaving key in room. Perhaps a lock box set up would be ideal in case personal items left in room & guests need to leave early

Communication prior to arriving was efficient and friendly, assuring us that our two special requests would be met. The older-style hotel has been refurbished in a stylish manner. Our room, though small, was attractive with high a ceiling, comfortable bed and large and well equipped bathroom with excellent shower. The food for dinner was quite outstanding, as was the service -- a delight.

perfect stopover for a trip to Victoria. Room was modern - everything worked and was comfortable. Sitting on the verandah for excellent food and wine was wonderful. short walk to the submarine for sightseeing and just down the road for an amazing bakery where we had breakfast. I couldn’t recommend more.

Lovely building and Reno, very unexpected in a small country town. Really enjoyed Darren Colston performing on Sat night.

Central heating was way too warm in room one. Would have liked a hair dryer. Dinner meals were excellent. Had granola for breakfast, very average

property is well located. ambiance excellent. staff were very accomodating and attentive. Facilities excellent. lift to accomodation very welcome. As a solo traveller I felt safe. Restaurant also very good.

there was a loud ongoing noise all night, sounded like a broken fan or similar coming on and off at random times. we were in room 1, you should check it out.

Lovely renovation of this historic hotel.

The air conditioning was difficult to regulate, far too cold on a cold day to very hot at night. I was told that the management were looking into this.
