Highly recommend much better experience than a basic roadside motel. Love the historic nature of the building.

Could have been more toilets, was ok for us but if more rooms occupied could have been a problem. More vegan options in the bistro would be nice, we had a long talk to the owner about this and he was very friendly and accommodating and said they were updating the menu to add more modern choices. I am hoping the vegan option is not just tofu though as that was what they had that night. But overall very nice place good food, lovely old building and great staff.

It was a quirky old fashioned hotel, with lots of rooms. It had all the safety features required and was extremely clean. The staff were friendly and obliging. It was a bit of a shock to find that the bathroom and toilet facilities were communal, however they were also extremely clean, not far from the room and easy to get to. Knowing we would arrive around the time the kitchen closed we phoned earlier to order a meal. Reception were very amenable and the very tasty meal was available on arrival.

Staff were super welcoming and friendly. Had a great pub meal for dinner. Being so cheap we dreaded our stay a little.. but boy we were so wrong!! It was such a good stay. The bed was super comfy and the shared bathrooms were plentiful super clean and double lock for privacy. Aircon was great and tv worked well. Cute little room all we needed for our move to Tasmania.

The pub is over 100yrs old so there was a musky smell but it added character. The metal stairs were shaky- if u are scared of heights not so cool haha

The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The room was super spacious with high ceilings. It even had a wardrobe and mini fridge. I liked the large upstairs veranda to drink morning coffee. Great value for money! Lots of free parking at the back of the property.

I didn't understand the point of having 2 showers in the one bathroom upstairs, given that the showers had clear windows. So unless you're showering with a partner, you'd only be using one shower, and lock the bathroom door otherwise if someone were to come in the bathroom to use the separate toilet, they'd see you naked in the shower.

Location great. The pub was excellent with playground and jumping castle for the kids. Kids eat free on Wednesday nights.

No breakfast included. Need more information in email - wifi password, check in and check out instructions. Need to be clear that the bathroom is a shared facility - no ensuite in room.

Very easy place to stay, evening meal on site etc. Very helpful in providing milk for our byo breakfast.

Booking.com pay was processed overseas and I have received a foreign transaction fee on an Australian payment for an Australian service. Totally unacceptable. I was not able to make the booking unless I made the payment. It's not the hotel's fault, it's booking.com processing the payment overseas instead of in Australia. Will think twice about using booking.com again for this reason.

This will be long and boring but necessary for accuracy. I have a very limited travel budget, but am prepared to pay whatever it costs for a once in a lifetime experience, so my overriding criterion for ordinary travel is value for money. I need; comfortable bed, hot shower, clean room, helpful and friendly staff etc. , decent tv, good wifi. I don't need spas , business centres, valet service etc.. All my needs were met at the Riverina and at a ridiculously small price. My five-star rating is based on meeting my needs - don't expect the Georges-Cinq in Paris, but if you're looking for basic accommodation at a joke price, this is it. P.S. No problem with shared bathrooms given my times in Paris, Berlin and Granada.

No tooth glass for brushing. No hanging space for clothes - a problem for those needing to use both beds in the the room, but for a solo traveller, lay your hanging clothes on the other bed.

Clean and nicely made up room, convenient location off the highway, was very quiet, tea and coffee station and exceptionally friendly staff in the bistro at dinner time.

It was great for the price! Had a bit of an “old building” smell but that’s all- it’s a very old building.

A really great old school country hotel. The bar was friendly and the food was really good quality pub food.

Nothing! I guess the shared bathrooms and toilets would put some off, but they were clean and private once you shut the door.
