Nova Kiama

Overall we really enjoyed our stay, the hotel was very clean and tidy, excellent location right in the centre of Kiama and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Good value for money

- Upon arrival the bedroom was like a sauna, the hotel has turned off the “cool” function, only allowing guests to change the “heat” and “fan” settings. The fan setting just blows more warm air around the room. The reception staff did come to the room and check the temperature for us, noting “we have had quite a few complaints about this recently” so would suggest a technician is brought in to look at this. - Roller blind in the bedroom was cracked/has small holes in it which lets light into the room. - Portacot provided, however only with a queen bedsheet, which is risk for babies so we could not use it. Luckily I had thought to pack our own mattress protector and Portacot sheet from home

Loved the location and water views. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Very professional. Great parking.

Only one stool to sit on at the bench/table. We had 3 adults in the family room, so it was very tight and uncomfortable. Had to ask for extra seats. Only 3 glasses & 2 mugs for a four person room. No full length mirror in the room, again asked and was delivered immediately thanks to cleaning staff. Rooms are designed for tall people over 170cm. Bathroom mirror is too high for people under 150cm (5 feet). No hook or rail for hand towel or clothes. Need more hooks or a rail for other towels too. No place to hang clothing in the main room area. Storage cupboards and kitchen cupboards require a ladder to reach anything! Tiny Juliette balcony that only accommodates one person somewhat comfortably to enjoy water views.

Beautiful hotel right beside train station 2 minutes walk to town . The room was bright, crisp white bedding , plenty of room ,balcony was a cute view all mod cons .Loved that it had a fridge and hob with microwave and full kitchen equipment that gave me choices. I also had a socket for a hairdryer beside a mirror. Major bone of contention with me in modern hotels

Only thing , no full-length mirror in room and very hard to put on make up as only mirror in bathroom so had to squeeze between toilet and sink to get to mirror maybe have small free standing hand mirror to help

Although only a one night stay, it was a nice comfortable stay. The room was clean and equipped with all the essentials and in a fantastic location close to shops, eateries and local attractions. Staff are friendly and helpful and off street parking was great but difficult to navigate if there are multiple cars trying to get in and out at the same time.

We were travelling as a family and when I had made the reservation through booking.com it had indicated the room was suitable for 3 people (2 adults & 6yo) this however was not the case. Our bed, although comfortable to lay on was a queen (possibly only double) and with no sofa available we had no option but to snuggle in together. At 8 months pregnant it wasn’t what you would call a good nights sleep but we did make do, for the price per night however and the vast floor space it would have been fair to expect a nice big king bed or at least a little sofa/sleeping lounger in the room for some added comfort.

We liked the customer service. Upon arrival we realised the room we booked was going to be too small for us. So we asked for another room with a view of the water. The staff member was really helpful in upgrading us to a bigger room with a view. An Executive Suite. We also liked the proximity to everything. Walking distance to some very nice restaurants, the beach, and the blow hole.

We wanted to feel we could relax. The Queen room with kitchenette was too small for us. So we upgraded to the Executive Suite. Two small negatives for me was that there was no power outlet in the bedroom to charge our phones. For an "executive suite" I would expect at least one power outlet in the bedroom. If it was there, I couldn't find it. The second, was that there was no freezer in the small fridge.

Very clean, modern and well positioned.

We felt the rooms were very baron, sparse with little thought of guest’s requirements, only a couple of hooks to hang clothes and no coat hangers are provided. There is an iron in the room but no ironing board. The bathroom was very disappointing also. There is nowhere to place your toiletries and only two hooks to hang your bath towels, nowhere to hang any hand towels. We did actually have the Disabled room, which I understand is geared to accomodate people needing extra room but no shower curtain is provided and we felt it lacked any privacy really. A bit disappointing.

Clean, light and airy rooms, beautiful bed and linen. Quiet for sleeping. Excellent location, easy walking distance to main street and beach.

Only a couple of things to note...kitchen bin lid was broken, shower screen not long enough so water goes everywhere...seems to be the same in most hotels at the moment though so must be the 'in style' thing. Also recommend another mirror in the room because putting on make-up is difficult as the sink infront of the bathroom mirror is quite large so it's difficult to see properly/get your things. Overall these are quite small things and wouldn't deter us from staying again!

It’s a great hotel. Has a wonderful pool, gym and outdoor courtyard. Lovely pub next door and you can order room service from them. Lovely kombi van in the foyer area that is a cafe, access to indoor/outdoor tables. Really lovely staff.

For the price, I expected bigger rooms. There are a couple of shortfalls. 1: only 3 hooks on the bedroom wall for hanging, no coat hangers. Lots of very high cupboard space but no idea why you would want that. 2: no mirrors other than over the sink in the bathroom. 3: almost impossible to do your makeup at the bathroom mirror as it is the same width as the sink which sticks out therefore preventing you getting close. 4: the room next to our door was their cleaning/storage facility. We displayed the DND sign, however the staff congregated there, talking and laughing as well as banging around in the supply cupboard.

Kitchenette /cooking facilities within the room were great ! This is a new quality hotel with nice facilities.

A couple of small teething problems with the room , but these type of issues can be expected with new buildings. The main issue was the temperature control within the room being hard-set to "Heat", rather than "Cool" , & we had no ability to change this. Unfortunately, the selection of the room temperature had been removed from the room occupant.

We were welcomed from the start and although there was a small delay checking in, it wasn't inconvenient. The cafe which is actually a converted Kombi band in the foyer is unique, qwerky and such fun. All the staff were wonderful, the rooms attractive and comfortable, short walk to restaurants and shops. I can't praise my time there enough. We will be back.

Absolutely nothing. It was a wonderful stay from the go get to the very end.
