Spacious room, comfortable bed, well-appointed kitchenette. Front desk staff were excellent. Didn't really have much involvement with anyone else, though cleaning staff were courteous when passing in the hallways.

Bathrooms really some maintenance/upgrades. All tapware/drain grates need to be changed out. The grouting on the tiles in the shower stall and bathroom very dirty, needs to be cleaned or redone. The inclination in the shower stall sees the water run down and pool at the other end, and eventually onto the floor. The opening into the shower stall is too wide, it allows more water than necessary to get onto the bathroom floor. On occasions there was a distinct bad smell coming from the drain in the shower stall.

Great location. Room was huge. King sized bed was very comfortable. View of Kiama. Railway runs right past hotel but it isn't very busy and windows are double glazed which cuts noise to a whisper. In fact I enjoyed watching various trains going by. Breakfast room overlooks harbour. 5 minute walk to Hungry Monkey cafe which does great food. 5 minute walk the other way takes you to Penny Whistlers cafe with outlook over harbour (book).

Two minor gripes with bathroom. Ventilation is very slow and sluggish. This is a feature of a lot of modern hotels but some work better than others. Also in bathroom, it was very spacious but hardly anywhere to put razors, toothbrushes etc. I left a note with reception about this. The move towards minimalist design seems to have gone a bit too far.

My partner and I have stayed at the Sebel time and time again, we absolutely love the facilities, clean and comfortable and the location is spectacular. Notably more recently we stayed rather unexpectedly, after I was rushed to the emergency room one evening and once discharged we seemed to have no where else to go. The Sebel were so accomodating and seemed to be the only place around Shellharbour that let us check in late into the night and were more than willing to provide us a late checkout as well. Very grateful for the service and will never hesitate to stay there in the future as well.

The location of the Hotel was excellent, not far from the water and close to town. There was a bistro on the property with casual meals that were OK except in the night when they were sharing staff with a wedding....service was terrible and so were wait times

It's our second visit there and unfortunately it was very noisey both times. When there are weddings in marques, the loud music is quite loud even in the rooms. This was really the only negative about the stay. We booked the night before we stayed so maybe that's why it was so expensive, if that's their usual price then it is way overpriced.

We have stayed at the Sebel many times. The location is wonderful. Views spectacular. It has everything we could ask for .In fact I was so enamoured of the pillows I asked for the names...very comfy as was the bed.If I had not just bought a new bed I would have asked for the name of the bed also.

My fault entirely. We were given a room with the shower over the bath. This is very difficult for me to negotiate now. Next time booking I will make sure I indicate that want a designated shower, no bath in my bathroom.

The room was spacious. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Plenty of undercover parking. The location was close to restaurants, markets and beautiful vies.

We would really have liked a window that opened as the air conditioning didn’t work properly and it was cooler outside. Also, with no window or balcony you missed out on the birds and the sound of the sea.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel overnight to celebrate Father’s Day and my birthday. It is in walking distance from the Main Street so we didn’t have to drive to get to our dinner venue. The bed was comfortable the room was clean and spacious. Staff were lovely at check in and check out. We highly recommend this accommodation to anyone who is staying in Kiama

Location was great, nice walking paths over looking the water . Great views from bistro and breakfast room. Staff were very helpful and friendly w. We were made to feel very welcome. Bistro menu and food very nice as was breakfast.

A bit disappointing that the view from our room was the railway line. Remote for TV didn't work well and became annoying, maybe needed new batteries?

Great location close to town center and harbour. Good size room. Friendly and efficient staff. Very convenient parking. Loved the very old blue stone section of the hotel - previously a school - great history.

The restaurant and bar area at the hotel has been closed for a couple years - not advised before arrival. This made a large section of the hotel to be sad and bleak - this must be fixed if claiming to be a 4-5 Star hotel.

Room siize was perfect for family of 4. Location close to CBD and local attractions. When studio was serviced daily, it was vacuumed. Other properties that we've stayed in, in Kiama do not offer this as part of their daily service. Greatly appreciated as over a long stay - sand definitely accumulates! Friendly reception staff, always greeted upon arriving back via reception entrance.

No room safe.
