We felt like we were in Leesa's home. Leesa and the family (who were there for Easter) were all very welcoming and lovely people and we sat down for a chat over a drink. Being Good Friday, we were able to walk to the Longyard Hotel and the food was very good so we found Plumes very convenient. Breakfast was great with full breakfast provided and cooked to your liking.

Overall our experience was excellent. Our (my) only suggestion would be to offer a choice of pillows. I found mine a bit too high. Would be nice to provide 2 - a higher and a more softer/normal thickness.

We arrived just as it was getting dark after a full day's driving and it was very nice to be met at the door and made to feel welcome. Plumes on the Green is styled like an old fashioned country house with a sweeping staircase and large windows to make the most of the garden views. There is a large communal sitting room with a television and a chess set - guests are invited to feel 'at home'. There is a kettle and a large selection of teas, coffee, hot chocolate etc. (complimentary) and also a bar with drinks (I believe you have to pay for these). The bed was very comfortable, and although it was cold outside, the air conditioner kept us nice and warm. Bath robes are supplied which is a nice touch. A very comfortable, quiet place to stay.

Sour dough or some other sort of artisan bread would have made breakfast even nicer. The supermarket sliced bread was a bit boring. There is no lift so if you have a room upstairs you have to carry bags up. This was not a problem for us but this might pose a problem for some travellers - might need to ask for some help (we were offered help but we were fine and didn't need it). There is no sink in the ensuite - it is actually in the room next to the bed, which was a little bit odd (I prefer privacy for cleaning teeth etc) but did not really detract from the very elegantly furnished room.

Good location for the music festival and equestrian centre. There is a decent pub within a 50 metre walk - good food. Plumes backs onto a golf course, so it provides a lovely outlook from the rear seating area. The owners, Lisa and Peter, were friendly and really knew the local area. They are quality people. Breakfast was cooked as we talked in the dining area and was great. Would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Plumes on the Green. Both the owners as well as the managers were very hospitable. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. You can tell that everything was well maintained. Breakfast felt like a treat every morning, it was well prepared. The B&B is located on the outskirts of South Tamworth, just a few minutes from the Golden Guitar and the information center. It is also close to the CBD (less that 10 minutes drive) and there is a great variety of restaurants in the area. Additionally, as it is close to the highway it makes it very easy to travel to other smaller towns and the national parks and state forest. (Roughly 1 - 1.5 hrs) We enjoyed every moment we stayed here, and we loon forward to be back in the future.

Breakfast and location all good. Our room was extremely comfortable and it was very nice to have a cup of tea and home made florentine on our arrival.

Bad weather meant we were the only guests as others cancelled. While I can understand having movement detection lights in public spaces, it did mean that generally the house had quite a gloomy feel as these lights only lit up a small area of the house after some delay. It was a little spooky!

The hosts Laurel and Rod, were very accommodating and nothing was a trouble for them. They cooked a breakfast of our choice. They were welcoming and helpful with any of our needs, and a source of information about what to see and do in Tamworth. The premises were clean and tidy. Loved that we could use the other living spaces at the premises as well. There was a book in our room with general information that was easy to follow and it was air-conditioned. We would definitely recommend this accommodation. Overall a great and comfortable stay.

The breakfast was amazing, the host worked hard to meet all our requests weather it was cooking breakfast or any other requests that we had. We are definitely coming back with family and friends, we highly recommend it to everyone thanks for looking after us lisa .

Absolutely nothing

The couple who run the B&B are extremely helpful. Breakfast was lovely and the coffee was good. Lovely view from the breakfast room onto the local golf course. Plenty of private off street parking. Room facilities were excellent and very adequate. Warm lounge room to while away the time and read quietly.

Minor downside. Plumes is a few kilometres out of town in a commercial area with a number of outlets close by. Situated just behind The Big Golden Guitar which is worth seeing.

Friendly and helpful staff. The common areas were very nice and the room comfortable. The views onto the golf course were pleasant and peaceful, an escape from the position in a commercial area. The quality breakfast made Plumes an economical and enjoyable place to stay.

Booked my stay very last minute after a cancelled flight. Host was amazingly welcoming, though my arrival was late at night. So friendly and warm, the place has a great atmosphere and vibe. I’m only sorry I left so early the next morning and missed out on breakfast and a chat. No doubt both would have been wonderful ☺️
