Dolphin Shores

The motel owner Andrew is friendly and knowledgable about the local area. The room is quite, spacious and clean, within walking distance to shops, restaurants and churches, and a few minutes drive to the fantastic Jervis Bay Marine Park.

We travelled and stayed multiple motels at Albury, Melbourne, Lakes Entrance and Eden, and found Jervis Bay is somehow more expensive than other areas. Maybe because it is a Saturday night? But the motel and location is very good.

Clean room and the manager was helpful and pleasant.

The 'Booking' website wasn't very helpful. There was no phone number to speak to someone directly regarding the questions I had. The rooms descriptions weren't very clear. I didn't know there were a lot of different types of accommodations with different facilities. The pictures weren't reflecting the rooms advertised on the website. The 'Booking' website needs to be more specific about the different accommodations they advised. I wasted over an hour trying to understand the different accommodations. The 'Dolphin Shores' website was a lot better. I understood straight away.

Very clean Fully-equipped kitchen and Laundry The 3 bedroom villa was spacious with 2 en suit bedrooms and a covered parking for 2 cars Easy check in and check out Andrew, the owner who welcomed us was generous with information of the local shops and the beach access, and the check-in/out process

The BBQ in the balcony wasn't working. 10 min walk from the beach during which you have to cross the busy street, with no cross walk, which can be dangerous. The beach is not the best in the area. You can get to Hymes beach if you chose to drive for that long.

Having spent 30yrs doing fieldwork for a Govt Department and spending around 4 months a year in motels, Dolphin Shores provided the quietest place I have ever stayed in. Also, the bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The shower was also really great as well. Service to the room was also really good. Bed made up each day and as clean as when we had arrived.

The property was convenient to the beach and local shops. The rooms were neat and tidy and the beds and pillows were comfortable. The room had coffee tea mini milks and some biscuits which was great! Andrew greeted us as we arrived and he is like a local google! He was a lovely man! It was a great overall experience.

The only negative - there were table and chairs set up out the front of the rooms - over the few days the guests would smoke there. unfortunately the smell would come into the room unless you closed the bathroom door. that’s the only negative.

The location is excellent. It is at a walking distance to Collingwood beach and Coles. Elizabeth Drive is also close by which gives access to the national park and the wider Jervis Bay Area. The motel has ample parking. Rooms are super clean and overall the property is very well maintained. We got the Studio room (wer're a family of 3) and it was perfect for us.

The property is exceptional and there's nothing which we disliked. One thing which could've been better (and the owner explained to us that he's been trying on his part by contacting the government but to no avail) was the in-ability to redeem the NSW stay vouchers. Hopefully it works out for the owner and the government fixes it for him.

accommodation was spotlessly clean, a very large, comfortable bed with fantastic sheets. The shower head was also great with renovated bathroom facilities. On top of the great accommodation the location was the absolute best, Andrew who also welcome to us to his motel was so insightful, very friendly and just an all-round great guy. We will return to this part of our beautiful country and will definitely stay a dolphin shores again.

Location, good size room, very friendly and hard-working staff. Most importantly, the property is looked after an exceptional host - owner-manager Andrew. He is the face and the soul of the business.

There is sufficient parking in the property, but for some reason parking spaces are not attached to the rooms.

Modern, well equipped room. Extremely clean and spacious

There was a slight stale smell in the room that I feel may have been the air conditioner. It did not impact on our stay nor concern us enough to report it however. Also I was slightly disappointed that all beds were not made up. I completely understand that as I booked for 3 people all three beds were not made up however for the price I paid I feel I would have been nice to have the choice as to whether my two children had to share a bed or not.

Good location. The motel was a short walk to the beach and local shops with Huskisson a quick 5 min drive away. Accommodation was spacious and very clean. Extra big comfortable bed and modern bathroom made the overnight stay very enjoyable. The owner Andrew was friendly, informative and a great advocate for the local area. We would certainly stay there again when we next visit the area.
