The room was lovely and the people were lovely

they were renovating which in itself wasn't the problem. The first day we went into the room and it stunk really bad of a gluey smell, we left both doors open for about 3 hours. the day before we left there was a really terrible smell in the hall way. to the point i thought i would be sick. i then went and got someone to open the downstairs door and the laundry windows for about an hour and that seemed to take the smell away. i do believe had they have aired the whole place before shutting it up would have made a big difference

We had a lovely view of the lake. which is across the road. The rooms were overlooking Lake Macquarie, I noticed they were adding some brand new rooms as well. We checked in at the hotel bar area, and had dinner and a drink at the hotel before going upstairs to the accommodation area. Our room was like a 4 star motel. Quite a good size also. You are not far from Warners Bay shops, and Spears Point Lake side picnic area, has has bbq areas. There is a walkway right around the lake.

It was a little tricky finding our room, but of course got there in the end. Maybe didn't help that we were trying to find it after dark also.

Friendly staff, lovely food, beautiful location😊and news of upcoming renovations to rooms & bathrooms- i look forward to returning to see it😊

Checking in at a bar felt a little uncomfortable after travelling, though the staff were great...As a cleaner myself I noticed straight away the bathroom was dirty...the shower area had months of build up of soap scum & mould, i wasn't keen to have the shower i was looking forward to...a little gumption & elbow grease go a long way for hygiene & presentation😊

The location of Pippis was perfect for the event I was attending. The restaurant is obviously popular with locals and the food was delicious. The room was comfortable and very spacious for a single guest. It is not a new building but was still clean and the housekeeping staff were very helpful. I will definitely stay at Pippis again should the need arise and will recommend it to others.

It was a little challenging to find the entry to the car park at the rear of the building. I am fine with steps but some people may find it difficult to carry their luggage up to the first floor.

We organised a group to stay to celebrate a 70 th birthday. What I liked was the affordable price , location, view, accommodating friendly staff, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, good quality food and closeness to the cycle path, park, swimming pool, cafes and shops. Overall all the staff were very helpful and ensured our stay was very memorable.

no ventilation in the hallway and some rooms need some TLC. However we realise for the price, it was value.

Can't pick one thing really that stood out above all else, everything and everyone exceeded my expectations by a great deal, perfect little family get away with plenty of entertainment for the little ones aswell as myself and partner, well done guys and to the staff 10/10 on service and professionalism, recommend everyone give this place a try you'll be very pleased and refreshed at the end of it garaunteed

That I didn't stay longer, effect retreat 👍👍👍 I will be back, me and my family again

A quiet room, comfortable bed, good location. And very good price.

Nobody around when we left at 8 am, not sure where to put the key so left it in the room. An info sheet in room might be a good idea. No breakfast available at the hotel but good little cafe a few steps away up the street, so that was fine.

Good dining, excellent price and prompt service. Beautifully renovated room. Sensible layout, including long side wall bench.

Shower was blocked and floor flooded. Received prompt response via Yvonne, house keeper, also from plumber . Also reported door to balcony did mot lock, badly fitted and door striker loose, with only one loose screw holding it. No chairs!

The room was refurbished and very well done. The staff were all helpful and reliable. As my 2nd stay there for a conference at Booragul, I found the food choices wonderful and the prices were very fair and I slept well each night..

Not a dislike however not having any breakfast facilities was a little difficult at times..

It was clean and well maintained. Room was nice.

Possibly something to show where you can get breakfast as you couldn't get it on site. Maybe a leaflet on the table as you enter the room I found it a bit confusing to find things not being from the area. Also the parking was a bit rough to find a spot to park.
