Value for money. Had our own private balcony. The room was spacious. The bathroom was very well laid out for a Disability Bathroom. The fridge was stocked full of goodies ( extra cost ) . Plentiful amounts of different teas & coffees. The hotel had a beautiful pool that was very inviting.

The bed was way too soft and I woke up with a bad back for the whole day. Smoke Free on our balcony, but, less than 10ft away, there was a Picnic table with ashtrays where people could smoke. Didn’t understand that ??? Booked room thru Booking.com but it wasn’t till I got a welcome email that I found out that the restaurant wasn’t open Sundays. However, they did have room service that made the food out of the restaurant kitchen anyway, which didn’t make much sense to me.

We were really happy with our stay… it exceeded our expectations. We were upgraded on arrival, our room was clean & comfortable.Room service was fast & tasty and I was able to extend our checkout at a small cost which suited us perfectly. All staff we encountered were friendly & polite, some even going out of their way to ensue we had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Thank you.

Nothing- though our next door neighbour had music blaring at 6am. But I was already awake so it didn’t really matter to me, but woke my daughter.

Rachel at reception was exceptional...nothing was too hard for her and did all with a smile and a very cheery disposition...All the staff were well trained and everyone helped us with a smile. The bed was extremely comfortable and soft as was requested (wife has chronic back problems). Room service (food) was great with good selection/price and delivered very quickly. Very clean room and friendly room service.

Breakfast room service was a bit poor as not everyting ordered was delivered. One phone call and it was quikly sorted however.

Clean and well presented room and facilities with great prints of the local buildings and scenery. The Reception staff were all excellent and restaurant staff we very nice and friendly. The under ground parking was also great. The kids under 12 eating free with the adults was a great idea. Also a very good swimming pool.

Babingtons restaurant was a bit over priced for the dinner meals and some dishes seemed a little lite on in size. We also waited nearly an hour for the meals to arrive.

Clean and comfortable

Staff in the restaurant when we came down for breakfast. The waitress who met us was unfriendly, abrupt, loud and intense, not smiling and obviously did not like us for something (maybe because we are foreigners originally). That left very unpleasant impression. Obviously waitresses there need more coaching re communication skills. Also the water was pulling in the shower recess, because of the shape/slope of the floor did not drain properly, obviously need to be fixed

Booked a Deluxe Queen room, but we were offered to bid for an upgrade. Stayed in an Executive King room for a little extra. Great location, great room, top floor, great views! Will stay again.

Stayed 2 nights, and both nights our sleep was disturbed by banging. As it happened around 2am to 3.30pm on both nights, we guessed that it may have been the plumbing. The flush of our toilet was very forceful, so maybe it was other guests using their bathroom during the night.

I have stayed at the Apollo on several occasions. It is very well positioned for any activity in Newcastle, being only approx. a 10 min drive ( or less) to the beach and other services and only around the corner from Charlestown Square shopping centre. Parking is free and very easy to access, there are lifts to the upper floors and it has a restaurant, bar and pool. Additionally, it is very reasonably priced for safe, clean accomodation and the bed is super comfortable.

I have stayed here on several occasions and am yet to find anything I dislike.

Hotel staff were friendly and restaurant was very nice. Location was good for our purpose

There were many small cockroaches throughout the apartment. They were crawling on the kitchen benchtops, the floor, a couple we noticed on the bed, and crawling on our luggage. Bed was uncomfortable for me personally. Of course, this is not a reflection of everyone's opinion or choice.

As with our previous trip, the facilities were of a high quality, both roomy and exceptionally clean. Staff were friendly and responsive to our needs. Only stayed the one night, but could easily stay longer if needed.

Unfortunately unlike our first visit, the bed was not as comfortable as we remembered. It didn't take away from the overall experience but after a 9 hour drive, a more comfortable bed would have been preferred. But wasn't bad enough for us to complain.

The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was so comfortable and warm. The continental breakfast was just perfect for us, although there was also a good selection to choose from on the hot menu. Staff were incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. Close to Newcastle and also beaches and shopping.

There were no facecloths provided. Getting into or out of the hotel can be awkward if you are coming from the opposite direction.
