Overall it was exactly what I expected, I had no real issues involving the accommodations. I did have a problem with smokers deciding to stand close to my bedroom window, however my complaints were taken seriously and I did get an offer to change rooms.

I would like to make a suggestion. I stayed in room 102 which is close to the designated smoking area. The smoke would filter into the room so I had to use an air filter to help remove the smell. Would there be any anyway you could re-access the smoking area please? I did try and reason with some of the smoking guests, however if you've ever tried to reason with junkies its damn near impossible.

After getting confused and ringing the wrong ibis hotel to organise a late check in and told it would not be necessary as they would be open, we arrived late to the property and found they were closed. I rang the lady quite late and she was so kind and understanding and got us all sorted. The rooms were spotless! And more spacious than I was imagining. Aircon was on ready making the room even more comfortable. Beds were also comfortable. All of which exceeded my expectations, especially with the price. The fridge was useful to hold the lunchboxes for the following day and the bathroom was very clean and spacious.

It was tricky trying to leave and get onto the highway to go right to head to John Hunter hospital. Perhaps a sign near the exit saying- “if you wish to turn right on the highway, go straight and use the roundabout to turn around”. Something to save some time instead of sitting and waiting for an impossible break in traffic. No biggy though.

For the price of the stay (mine was $117 for 3 people, 2 adults and 1 child) our stay was very comfortable. The bed linen was in good condition and lovely and clean, the room was clean and the bathroom area was clean. It was good to have the fridge and kettle, as we used both. I was pleasantly surprised at the small sitting/dining common area at the front for the use of the guests as well as the option to buy a continental breakfast and a few other snacks, that could get a hungry tired traveller through. The guest laundry & toilet, is a great idea, and it was also stacked with clean towels. Which worked out well as our room was 1 towel short, so i was able to pop in and get one without bothering the staff member on duty. The lady that was working on the night of 24th Sept was so lovely and accommodating. She was happy and welcoming when we arrived, participated in small talk and showed interest in us and our travel. She assisted me a few times with batteries for the air conditioner remote and a glass for my wine. Sorry I don't recall her name, but she is a keeper! We were able to park close to the entry door of the hotel to get out our belongings, which made packing and unpacking the car a lot simpler. The shower contained a all over body and hair wash which was a nice touch for a less expensive motel.

I could tell the shower cubicle was a bit older and had withstood some changes to dispensers etc, and a slight bit of discolouration around the caulking of the wet areas, but that happens with age.

From when we text you re accommodation…Upon arrival the lady in reception was friendly helpful and knowledgeable on the area for shopping and food….Ourroom was very clean…The bed was comfortable….The sheets clean…Bathroom towels clean…The room size was fine…The location was excellent…Would recommend to anyone wanting the above as we did…Many thanks….Jan Dickinson….

The room was small but enough for 1 night and for solo. The bed was comfortable but could have had another blanket as the night was Very cold. Shower hot .

The coffee was not very nice and no milk for it. I had to be very careful with step up into bathroom particularly at night. I know not your fault but next-door the fire alarm went off about 1am just after i had gone to sleep.

I Like the bunk over the large bed because our younger daughter loves it and can't wait to go to bed. The beds and pillows very very comfortable and the bathroom very clean. I also like that it has a small fridge and a kettle to have a cuppa and store some groceries.

There is no shower curtain so the water from the shower sprays everywhere but we just bring an extra towel for that. You must be careful when opening the bathroom door straight after a steamy shower because it can set off the alarm. There is a warning about this and it has never happened to us.

Staff were amazing, we had a fire evacuation which was handled great. The guy at reception was so kind to let us eat dinner at the breakfast area as a family.

The pillows were very thin and there were only 2 in the queen. The carpets were really worn and dirty in the common areas (old) however the cleaner was friendly and the rooms were clean

The Receptionist was excellent! She helped up find a place for dinner, ordered us a taxi,and in general was VERY friendly and helpful and pleasant. The location was good for our needs, especially once we found the Rundle St. entrance to the parking lot. The room was small but comfortable. This hotel was obviously formerly a Formula One, and as we had stayed at Formula One hotels before, we knew what to expect. The shower and toilet space is very small. The room was clean. There was a TV, kettle, bar fridge, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, and paper coffee cups, but not cutlery or dishes. Basic but comfortable. But excellent price.

As I said the room was comfortable and clean. However, there was black mold or mildew around and in the air conditioner. Other wise the room was clean.

the room was a bit on the small size but after the first day i got use to it. bed was very comfy. everything was clean and tidy. i was very surprised everyone told me never to stay at a ibis budget. but i was happy with the room and service i received. all the staff were very helpful and accommodating it is within walking distance to wallsend shopping centre and buses to john hunter hospital. i will definitely be staying here again and would recommend it to anyone.

the bathroom, this is just a personal thing i don't like small closed in spaces. it was functional with decent sized towels which was good.

the room was fine. as we are over 65 years of age, we had difficulty getting into the toilet area, a handle would have been helpful. Also the toilet roll holder was missing so it was sitting in the position it would be, butit wasn't a problem only if you pulled too hard on the paper.
