The fact they had free bikes was a plus as the accomodation is not too close to the city, but with the bikes it took us about 20 minutes. The decoration was super nice and they offered little useful toiletries and food for breakfast. The owners live in the property but on the outside house, so you don’t feel they are right in your face. The muffins and fruits on the breakfast was great - but if you want cooked breakfast you have to do it yourself.

When we checked in, the person welcoming was super cold, the guy seemed to be taken out of a nap and it was grumpy because of it - unfortunately first impressions are still a thing when comes to customer service (Helen was nice and super warm though so it counter balanced). Not so sure about the DIY concept on the breakfast, we weren’t sure if we supposed to use the pots and stove, but then Helen came and explained later.

Ian and Helen are very kind hosts, who give you all the privacy you need, but are there when you need them. Everything is very well maintained, and the house is very well equipped, allmost everything is thought of. Helen also has an eye for detail and does her very best to make it feel like a cosy home for the guests. Breakfast is also really nice with a lot of fresh ingrediënts, and amazing homemade muffins. When you are in the backyard, you have a big chance of spotting a kangaroo or other animals coming for a drink right outside the fence. If we ever visit Alice Springs again, we will definitely come back to this place!

Breakfast for a king! Extensive choice, fresh fruit, cereals or cooked breakfast. Freshly baked muffins every day, so help yourself. Helen thinks of everything. An oasis. A beautiful house, fantastic hosts, large, comfortable with absolutely all amenities. Pool, and Ian lights the outside fire each night on the large terrace. Nothing is too much trouble and the attention to detail is amazing. Will come back again…and again. Thanks for a memorable stay. Very interesting books on the area and Aboriginal history.

Helen and Ian are just the most accommodating hosts even down to bring out a small throw rug to use while we sat out side near the pool after our BBQ. The room was spacious and we had our own sitting room and large balcony. The Breakfast that was provided every morning was nothing short of amazing. Helen makes the most delicious muffins which are very hard to go past in the morning with a coffee or tea. The property is amazing and in a great location. Thanks for a wonderful stay Helen and Ian

I LOVED EVERYTHING

Ian and Helen were excellent hosts, providing us with all the information we needed and answering questions before we arrived and Ian was very welcoming and made us feel at home immediately with a tour of the house and facilities available to us. Our room was very comfortable consisting of the bedroom, another room with sofa and desk which was very handy and the bathroom. Everything was very clean and nicely furnished and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was amazing with many options to choose from like coffee, tea, juice, meusli, fresh fruits, yoghurt, toast, bacon, eggs, tomatoes for cooking and much more, and to top it off Ian and Helen were there to look after things as well as have a chat and offer helpful local information for our trip. We really enjoyed our stay, wouldn't hesitate to come again and highly recommend it to others.

The privacy of own lounge, bedroom and outdoor area plus access to all outside and inside communal areas . Outside there is bbq’s and open fires. The breakfast spread is better than any 5 star hotel and of course the Hosts Helen and Ian are wonderful and helpful whilst giving you your privacy . I could go on and on how lovely this place is .

There is nothing to dislike about this property

The room was spacious and comfortable. It was a perfect relaxing stay. The kitchen and amenities were convenient and well stocked which made my stay extra easy. The location was great with a car, there was a grocers nearby, it was close to town and easy to get onto the main road to travel further.

There were some spiderweb on the cornices of the bedroom and the pool had dead 2 caterpillars in them. But that's just the way it is when you're close to nature in Australia.

Staying at Hellen's and Ian's was the most pleasurable experience we have had in a long time. The attention to detail was outstanding, the breakfast was sufficient to feed a king and the hospitality was absolutely excellent. Ian light the outside fire on a cool night. Otherwise,we would not have sat outside and we had a lovely evening chatting to other guests. We travel a lot and I cannot recommend this beautiful place highly enough.

Too many properties that tick all the boxes get 10 out of 10 ratings, but on that yardstick, 'Wilmots on Dixon' should get 12 out of 10. This is truly an exceptional B&B with superb facilities, gracious hosts and outstanding attention to detail. The property hints at its unique promise with interesting street appeal, however on entering the home, its amenity becomes breathtakingly evident. Three completely private guest suites, with two of the suites being like small multi-room apartments; spacious, luxuriously presented and totally comfortable. The multiple living areas are extensive, open-plan, and functional and the kitchen is superbly set up and equipped for every imaginable contingency. There are 4 outdoor / alfresco areas to choose between and you need to stay for a few days to properly indulge in all that 'Wilmots on Dixon' has to offer. Many thanks to Ian and Helen for making our pre-Larapinta stay in Alice Springs so wonderful.

Spacious, comfortable and very stylish in a unique way. Very great attention to detail. Many different options as to where you can spend your time when there. The garden round the pool is a work of landscape art. Very generous breakfast spread catering to all possible desires and dietary needs. Hosts, Helen and Ian, are warm and very helpful people, and made not only our stay, but also our journey a highlight.
