Atherton Motel

We stayed in the new self contained apartment units (not what we originally booked but paid for upgrade on arrival). These were modern and well equipped. They were not really apartments as it is really just a motel room, but sufficiently spacious for 2 people. I was very comfortable and I would stay again. No problems at all during our stay.

Beware the bathroom. It is nice and modern with a rain shower, but there is no shower screen or shower curtain. The result is aa flooded bathroom after having a shower and requires mopping up the water with a towel.

Floor to ceiling windows take in the expansive view of the Tablelands, great choice for a few days to explore the area as Atherton is the hub of the Tablelands. Very convenient being on a main road but set far enough back so there was minimal road noise. The room was exceptionally spacious and perfectly set up for self-catering. Beds were really comfortable and with extra blankets for those relatively chilly Tableland evenings. Dedicated parking for each unit made it easy to come and go. The complex is really solidly built so there's no issue with noise from neighbouring units.

Lovely clean new spacious room. So glad we upgraded. Awesome view of the tablelands. Will definitely recommend & use again. Hopefully our suggestions will be considered. (Coffee pods need to be replaced on service)

Only coffee pods were decaffeinated which is pointless coffee 😂 Shower very touchy with hot & cold so not very pleasant. Little bit overpriced for location. Bed very firm & 2 king singles pushed together to make a king bed. That’s ok but it needs a mattress topper on top so not so noticeable.

The proprietors were lovely and very helpful and made me feel Welcome. My unit was clean and towels etc were changed each. It was quiet and has great parking right at you door. The motel is close to town and and all amenities. I stayed for 5 days and will definitely be returning again.

The friendly staff, close to an amazing restaurant, 3 min walk, nice outlook over the countryside.

From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome. Caroline was so friendly and helpful. She allowed us to use the washing machine & dryer free of charge as we were staying 5 nights. She even folded our clothes out of the industrial dryer! Beautiful views to the mountains from the yard, lovely sunsets. Chinese restaurant very convenient next door.

More bench space in the bathroom would be handy. A bigger fridge for long stays would also be handy. Apart from that, everything was terrific

Had room 26 deluxe and it was very nice with modern fitting and fully contained for a short stop for my wife and me. The bed was comfortable but pillows needed to be harder for me but may suit others. Bathroom is modern with all supplies items. The Chinese restaurant next door is very good its worth having a meal and right next door.

Location, value for money, Chinese restaurant next door, microwave and kitchenette allowed us to have breakfast in room. Staff were excellent. View magnificent.

Our bathroom was not cleaned properly but the owner cleaned it herself as soon as she was alerted to 5he issue. Refunded accomodation cost for one night also.

Wonderful warm & helpful reception from Carol. She was both informative about the property & the area. Check-out was equally as friendly from her husband. They both showed genuine interest in our travels. Housekeeping staff also very helpful. Room was large & bright with a beautiful outlook to the mountains, outdoor seating, & well equipped kitchen. Plenty of towels.

Friendly reception with a lovely clean room and bathroom. Theres a microwave kettle toaster with utensils and complimentary tea coffee sugar and small milk. Sitting outside has a great view and there's a Chinese restaurant on the premises.

Other people staying there with no respect for others while being noisy

The room was clean and comfortable and was well equipped. Our stay was short but what we saw we liked. In general a good location providing a good view of the area. This would make a good base for touring on the tablelands

There was no water at the cold tap in the kitchenette sink. Our room was next to the laundry facility and this made parking a little difficult. The window gives a great view but there were no net curtains so we had to keep the main curtains drawn to stop other guests looking into the room if they passed by.
