Manly Marina Cove Motel

The location was great - only a short distance to the beautiful foreshore and 15 minute stroll into town. Breakfast just across the road at the yacht club added to an overall pleasant experience. It was very quiet at night which we appreciated for a restful night and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and communicated well throughout the booking and stay.

A walk in shower would have been preferred but they had a well placed grab rail to step into the bath safely. The shower was good. Even thought the room was clean we didn't particularly like the smell of the cleaning products they use - smelled like Nil Odour.

Enjoyed our stay, very clean and comfortable. Will happily stay again on our next trip to Australia, close to the city and reasonably close to the airport. Friendly staff. The weather didn't play ball tho and we got rather wet walking to and from the train station....wouldn't put us off returning.

We weren't told the compendium was on the TV when we checked in so had to ask but couldn't use the QR reader which didn't work on international roaming, nor did the wifi on our phones so had to use our roaming data, although the wifi did work on our laptops so could look up nearby restaurants, train details etc. First time we've not had a paper compendium in all our years of travel, wasn't ideal. Only minor really in the scheme of things as really enjoyed our stay.

Room neat and tidy, suitably equipped for our needs on a short stay. Great location, quiet and private. I would certainly stay again and all staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful

shower. Shower curtain and had to step up into the bath. The shower head was hard to get to a suitable pressure, it sprayed everywhere and water flow was quite harsh on your skin. This was a minor issue overall.

The room was comfortable and the location was excellent and suited our purpose. Lots of cafes and restaurants within a short drive.

We booked a disability room as it was all that was available. The bathroom could do with a cabinet or shelf of some kind to hold clothes and toiletries instead of having to use the floor, which could be difficult for a person with a disability. Also, because it was a disability room, the shower had no lip and a lot of water escaped out onto the floor possibly posing a slipping hazzard.

Due to being as asthmatic with recent flare up I asked for no heavily fragranced cleaning products. The request was definitely fulfilled . I also wanted to rest as much as possible .so put do not disturb sign out &got milk etc from front desk . When I did decide to venture outside .

Could have done with a drop off luggage parking spot but that problem was alleviated by a luggage trolley .

There were no issues. Smooth. Straightforward. No fuss. Comfy bed. Clean room. Room made up daily.

We thought it was strange there was no toaster. We bought a toaster (staying one week). When the room cleaner? saw the toaster we were informed we weren't allowed to use a toaster (something to do with the motels insurance). Wasn't a big deal and overall happy.

We were given upgrade to very spacious King Room. Loved that! Bed was very comfortable, shower was good. We were here for a function! Would stay here again if we need to.

Smallest thing, with our upgrade we got a room right beside the front door. People coming in late stopped to talk right next to our door. Luckily it wasn’t too late. ( not the motels fault)

Great peaceful location with clean comfortable rooms. The bed was a bit hard and the mozzies prevented using the sea breeze for ventilation.

Stayed in a first floor room with a balcony. The only natural air flow/ventilation to the room was via a large sliding door with no fly/security screen. A beautiful sea breeze came in the open door BUT SO DID THE MOSQUITOES 🦟. Had no choice but to close the door and use the air conditioning 😪😴

Well furnished, easy parking and excellent TV choices. The yacht club cafe across the road was quite good and opens at 7am. Staff are helpful - they called promptly when I forgot my watch.

It is a small walk to the village and a 20 min walk to train station - which we knew and was fine for us, but something to bear in mind for other travelers.
