Abbey Boutique Hotel Adults only

The history and grounds was amazing ! The man was fantastic and allowed us to look around and read all the history info tags late into the night as we arrived late. We upgraded our room to an ensuite in our room. Service was great - was so quiet. Love love loved the history !

Bathrooms were advertised as being a private bathroom on booking.com. The bathrooms were private, but there was no mention of having to walk down the hall past other rooms to get to your bathroom. I felt this was a little deceptive of booking.com.

We stayed in Loft room 1. It was very spacious and the bed was HUGE and comfortable. The property and garden are beautifully restored and well maintained - the amount of effort that has and continues to go into this must be huge. The historical info signs explaining more about what the rooms used to be were a highlight. On our 4 night trip we also stayed at Spicers Hidden Vale, Commercial Boutique Hotel Tenterfield and Oaks Toowoomba. All are lovely places to stay but the Abbey Boutique hotel was our favourite which says a lot up against that competition!

A beautifully maintained hotel with that old world ambience. It felt like we were staying in Downtown Abbey and should be wearing tails to breakfast. The rooms are spacious and feature modern touches like air-conditioning and a fridge, juxtaposed against wooden cabinets and beds.

The ultra thin toilet paper reminded me of my days working in government offices but trust me, it's a small price to pay for staying in such a lovely place. My advice, throw a roll of Quilton in your bag and book a room. You won't regret it.

Well-lit. Also cozy and every room is unique, tastefully done up. There's wine glasses and decent drinking sized mugs for beverages. Towels clean and also shower was great! Sufficient lighting to to the room!

Heater wasn't sufficient. Perhaps toilet light could have options of soft light, light above mirror. The bright daylight is a strong contrast to the nice warm romantic lights in the bedroom. Toilet vent don't seem to be powerful enough.

Beautifully restored and maintained convent building. Superb hosts and friendly staff. Restaurant meals were delicious and substantial. Breakfast offerings were plentiful and delicious. Room had air conditioning for winter warmth.

Some rooms do not have ensuite bathrooms but a private bathroom down the hall. Heating in the restaurant breakfast room could be improved as it was chilly.

Beautiful step back in time. A huge thanks to a fantastic host Mark . Thank you for the up grade ..it was stunning with a huge balcony Breakfast was amazing un the dinning restaurant. This is a must with 5 star personal service from Mr Mark and Brazil cat loved hanging with us in side and out side ..even came and joined us for breakfast . We shall be back .great thanks to both Mark and Sonia and Brazil the cat

We had a wonderful time at Abbey Boutique, there is so much care and love in every single detail. We enjoyed wandering around the building to learn its history and took beautiful pictures. The bedroom was comfy and pretty. Delicious dinner with drinks on the lounge. Lovely stuff. chocolates at the door in the morning. All very special.

Just out of the heart of the CBD, The Abbey feels like a very grand experience. The comfort of the King Room was exceptional. A free standing bath, verandah, ensuite with rain shower, and spacious suite, this is a must to experience. Heating and cooling to accommodate your needs. Beautiful hospitality, with luxurious features that are so well done it is hard to believe it hasn't always been a purpose built hotel. The grounds are superb, ample parking on the grounds, easy access. Breakfast was plentiful, and we enjoyed pre-dinner drinks and a cheese latter as well.

I missed catching sight of the resident cat Basil sadly. Next time!

The hotel is amazingly beautiful both indoor and outdoor, we really enjoyed our stay there.

Our room is Veranda 5 and the private bath room is separate from bed room. When I need to go to the toilet at night , I have to open/shut the bed room door and walk to bath room. When I come back open/shut the door again. The noise of movement woke up my partner and we totally woke up after that So we didn't have a sounds sleep because of the separate toilet, but the rest are fine.

It is a little out of the way but worth it for the quality of the hotel. It's a piece of local history beautifully restored. I stayed in a loft with ensuite and it was great. Spacious, spotless and a/c that kept up with the blistering temperatures. The staff were very friendly and helpful and parking was a breeze.
