High Street Motor Inn

High Street Motor Inn is highly convenient and a short drive to Stanthorpe's local shops, restaurants and point of interests. It also offers a covered area for parking and the rooms are comfortable for short stays. We booked a two-bedroom apartment and it sure is just the right size to fit a family of 4 (two children under the aged of 5). There's a mini kitchenette and some white good appliances, and it was sufficient for our overnight stay. The towels are huge - and it came with complete toiletries. We also ordered room service from the restaurant attached to the inn and it sure was a delight, and there was no room charge for the service - what a bonus! Thank you! Overall, a convenient and comfortable stay.

Reasonably basic accommodation and a little on the tired side but the unit was spotlessly clean and had everything that you needed, including crockery and cutlery in the kitchenette, and the beds were very comfy. Parking was easy and the steak restaurant next door was fantastic. Not within walking distance of the town's main street but not a problem if you have a car. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Wi-Fi was ADSL so was too slow to use, unfortunately.

Room was very big, lots of space for me and two crazy kids. Dining table big enough to sit around and eat. Air con was used for heating which worked well. The bathroom is massive and clean. Staff were very lovely and welcoming. Great location to go and do things by car. Onsite restaurant open some nights which is convenient and the room service was very well done. Would definitely stay here again. Curtains help keep the room dark and warm in winter so it was really cosy for a sleep in.

Not close to any other shops or restaurants, only driving distance and the onsite restaurant is expensive if you need to use it each night. Car parks are in front of the rooms which was quite loud as people set off first thing in the morning or arrive back at night. The door only has a handle lock, no chain or bolt so felt a little insecure.

The position was excellent, being just a minute off the highway. Access to the town centre was easy too: straight down the road! The facilities in the unit were as expected: an area to make coffee, a table at which to read, and a great shower. What more does one need? The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the food at the attached steak-house restaurant was superb!

We couldn't connect to the in-house wifi system: there was no signal available in the unit and because the system had been changed, the password listed on the phone was incorrect. Staff were unable to give us the correct password.

Was very big step into the room, that myself and our 5 yr old nearly tripped up it. I wish I was asked at check in if we wanted breakfast, cause by the time I saw we could get it, it was passed cut of time to order it. So we had a very hungry little miss who had the cookies for breakfast till we left.

Comfy beds. Bedrooms good size good. Big bathroom with good pressure in shower. Microwave, jug & toaster. Great steak restaurant on site which does room service. Prices really good. Lovely staff.

No lounge in room. only a table with 4 chairs. Wardrobe in main room not in the bedrooms. Small TV on the only bench that you had to use for food prep as well.

The lovely hot showers after a day of hiking was perfect. It also had aircon as it quite cold one night. We had a family room with a double bed and 2 singles. The steakhouse in the complex had the best meals, huge and so yummy!!

There was some traffic noise and I'm a light sleeper but didn't bother me too much.

Convenient location to go into town city. Very cozy in winter, nice and comfortable beddings.

A bit noisy during the day and heavy traffic as it is along a main road into the town. Can also hear other guest coming, leaving and talking. The room space is a bit tight. No much room to open luggages.

We didn't think to check if the Restaurant attached to the motel was closed on any particular night, and unfortunately we stayed on our way through for Qld doctors appointments the night it was closed. No problem though as only a few kilometers back into town for a nice dinner had at the Club.

A/C filter was clogged, but easily removed and cleaned out for warmer air flow. No problem for us at all.

This room was perfect for an overnight stop. It's on the edge of town near the main highway, so easy to find. It was quiet and comfortable thus allowing us a good nights sleep. It was attractively decorated, welcoming and good value for money. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything was great. It isn't close to the centre of town, but I would assume most people staying here have their own vehicles and therefore it isn't a problem.
