We stayed in the Thomson suite which is outstanding and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The breakfast supplies are plentiful and of the best quality. Gary and Leonie are very welcoming and have a First Class operation in Gawler. We moved to the Foundry Suite for one night,much smaller but again First Class. This property is 5 Star and well worth a few days as a Central point for day trips. Even a day trip by train to Adelaide from the walking distance Station would be fun . So do yourself a favour, drop in for a few days. You won’t regret it.

There is nothing to dislike.

The location is fantastic, just a short walk from Gawler Central train station, the main Murray Street, not too far to walk from Gawler historic train station. The facilities are amazing- literally everything you could think of was there! The style of bed and breakfast meant that everything was on hand when we were ready, no time frames to work out- we loved it! Our suite satisfied our 2 teenagers, and everyone wished we had longer to spend there. The hospitality was second to none! Gary and Leonie were so welcoming and helpful. So very generous with facilities and their own time x

A small thing. The bed was high off the floor for a short person. I like to sit on the bed to finish dressing but couldn’t so I sat in the old chair in the corner but it seemed very rickety. There was an old chest next to it so I sat there. It pinched my butt twice! Lol

We stayed at Thomson suite. When we opened the door, our jaws dropped. It was ten times more beautiful and quirky than we could ever imagine. It had a very artistic touch on everything and every corner, showing the very long history of the place as a foundry. Gorgeous brick walls exposed inside with outstanding skylight, windows, bar, pool, kitchen, woodburner fireplace and ... I was thinking of living there forever. Greg, the host, came to say hi, what a lovely man he is. He generously filled up the fridge for us, more than we could ever eat.

The only thing is that the pictures on the website don't do justice to the beauty of this place. The place itself was ten times more beautiful than the photos.

Super surprised with the rooms and setup on offer, well and truly exceeded expectations. Hosts very friendly and generous with a full basic fridge supply, proper milk bread etc and a welcome tasting port waiting for you. Books and DVD,s, plus we had a pool table, did not even turn the TV on. I wish it was a non work trip and not just one night. Never had the chance to enjoy everything on offer, such as spa etc. It's on our radar for a holiday next time.

No negatives at all. It's a renovated old quarry building converted to a b&b with several units, and is setup very well.

THe breakfast was just a bit too tempting! Very generous & all provided, as well as better-than-average kitchen equipment. Hosts were very pleasant and accommodating for a last-minute arrival.

Not a criticism but some coffee bags or ground coffee might be a nice alternative to instant. THis is a minor quibble. Overall it was really good and I would happily stay there again

Large spacious accommodation. Easy parking, loved the kitchen, pool table and BBQ. The food to make your own breakfast was perfect. The little extras like chocolates, mints and decanter of Port, wow, we could not have asked for more. Great central location within walking distance of the supermarket and pubs.

Lovely historic building being an old foundry. Room was fantastic, very rustic, comfortable chairs and plenty of supplies for breakfast, tea and coffee. If you needed more, you just had to ask, A nice stroll down to the main street with lots of pubs and restaurants for dinner options. Happy to stay there again.

The bed and pillow was uncomfortable, but that could have been just us. Everything else was perfect !

Everything that we could have wanted was provided including extensive breakfast options, toiletries, spare towels, cooking tools, books, info about the foundry, list of eating venues nearby etc. Warm welcome by owner.

A plentiful range of breakfast food was available - more than enough to meet most people's general needs. The grounds were delightful, and the location was great, with an easy walk to the main street and plentiful eateries and general shops.
