The staff were very helpful. Lindy was great with check in and check out and very friendly (Thanks Lindy!) The bed was comfortable, the shower had good pressure too. We had a private little patio area where we could have pleasant toast and coffee in the morning. Undercover parking was brilliant. Right at your door. Value for money it’s great! It’s ’the little property that could’!

Only a couple of things. The room was a little stark and felt ‘cold’. This is no slight on the owners, because it’s obvious they’ve done the best with what they had. The only other thing was the very noisy water pipes in the room next door when someone took a shower.

Front reception staff were excellent. The arrival booking in process was quick. Lindy, in particular, was very helpful throughout the week. She had good suggestions of eateries and tourist sights to visit. My room was very spacious. The wardrobe had coathangers, an ironing board, iron, and spare pillows, etc. There were mini soaps, shampoos, and body washes provided. I personally liked their pillows. The air-conditioning worked exceptionally well during the heatwave conditions. I had an end room, and it was extremely quiet. No other guests were put next to me. Huge bonus! The undercover parking right outside the room was appreciated. Kept the car cool during the summer heatwave. I also asked for a microwave to be provided during my stay, and this was already placed in my room. The mini fridge worked well. I extended my stay for another 4 days.

There was no coffee table or small dining table n chairs for eating meals inside the room. As others have stated, the shower room was a weird setup. It was very cramped. No heatlamp or exhaust fan. One hook for towel. No safety handrail. The toilet had no exhaust fan either. No full-length mirror. It would have been nice to have had one. The air-conditioning seemed to be on freezing/frigid even if set for 23°. Couldn't stop it from swinging and blowing directly onto me. I ended up switching it on and then off when it got unpleasantly cold. Then on again. Repeat. I was unaware that the onsite restaurant was permanently closed for business. Couldn't access my Netflix or other streaming channels on their tv.

Rooms were spacious and clean . Bed comfortable and staff obliging.Pool area was nice.

It’s not a hotel in the way I understand the word . Despite extensive refurbishment to the reception area , it’s still a Motel , where you park your car outside your room. This is not necessarily a bad thing but I found that during the night the room would produce loud creaks and bangs as if the building was readjusting itself to the heating and cooling of the air temperature. Sleep was impossible for me without ear plugs .Also the restaurant was closed throughout our stay .

Good location for exploring the Barossa Valley. Clean and spacious room with tv and airco. Looks brand new.

Received an email offer, from the hotel directly, to extend my stay and receive 35% off the 2nd night but, when asked at the reception I was offered me the same price I could find here on Booking.com, saying that the platform was already offering a discounted price, which really didn’t look like (I am 3rd level Genius member here and no deals were showing up). I didn’t appreciate the staff attitude, he treated me like I was demanding for a random discount but that was an offer THEY sent me: if Booking offers better prices then their direct site, well, I think their pricing strategy is pretty off.

Great location with easy access to everything you might need in the Barossa re shops, restaurants, wineries. Room was spacious and very quiet. Good covered parking is provided right outside each room. The architectural aspect of the complex is very interesting in itself. The rooms on our side of the complex had from the rear sliding door a nice sunny outlook over lawn and shrubs, and if I was staying longer I would have enjoyed sitting outdoors with a glass of wine and some snacks.

Restaurant on-site was shut on the night I stayed, even though it was advertised as normally being open on that night of the week. The "Bacchus" restaurant that you might think is on this site via Google has been replaced by the one that was shut. However, there were many other great options for an evening meal within a 20 minute walk, and I survived. Access to the separate toilet is rather crampand. And the wooden swing door to the separate shower space is quite odd. This oddity flows through to the bench area with the hand basin, refrigerator and cupboards with the kettle, toaster, etc. Although the reverse cycle air conditioner is quite modern and effective, I found the spare blanket as provided was the better option for sleeping through a quite cold night.

Lindy was very friendly and helpful. Chris also had great communication and helped us with an early check in. Thank you! The room was as described. The bed was very comfortable. Had all the basics. No microwave but did have a kettle and toaster. There was access to a laundry. We appreciated this. There were some noises from other rooms and the building due to heat and thin walls but it was nothing major that impacted on our experience. The pool was fantastic! Small area but great to cool off. Would stay again.

Friendly manager. The room was spacious to spread out and the chairs were comfortable to sit in. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were good. The pressure in the shower was good.

It was a good 20 minute walk into town but to an extent that was fine. However we had to walk it a couple of times per day, because we wanted to have a drink with our meal. It was just a wee bit far from where restaurants were. Just the one sink for dishes and personal care was a bit odd and the toilet was very small. However, these are design features from when the hotel was made so can't be helped.

Clean Comfy Easy Parking

A bit far away than expected from restaurants. However inlaws 85 years old so not overly mobile probably if travelling alone we can walk further to main part of Tanunda. Noisy early morning ie 7.30am drilling or something happened again same day ie Sunday at 5.30pm when having a rest before dinner. Cleaners also made a racket with trolleys in the morning after rooms were vacated ... hard to control, on gravel pathways but perhaps some quieter wheels maybe?

A very big "thank you" to Lindy at Reception who did everything to make our stay go well. We especially appreciated her letting us know about the "secret gem" for lunch - it was delicious! It was a nice surprise to find a toaster and coffee maker in our room. Bed was comfortable and it was great to have the little private, outdoor area to sit and enjoy a drink. The pool looked very inviting and the onsite Asian Restaurant was a convenient spot for dinner on our second night (visitors should be aware it is not open on Wednesdays).

If you want to go into town for shops or dinner you will need to drive.

Comfortable stay on our road trip. I cannot fault the venue and the host/manager offered a friendly welcome. Clean and offered all the basics needed for a two-night stay in the Barossa. Parking was easy and under-cover in front of the room, with acceptable height restrictions on entry or exit (think about 2.4-2.5m) - more parking at the front should you exceed this height. Split bathroom/toilet was great for a family of 3 to get moving each morning...

The open wash basin area/shower setup did not offer privacy when getting out of the wet shower area... We travelled with a 13YO kid and required some logistics :) However, this will not detract us from booking this venue again! Great value, the best location, and clean rooms.
