I loved the convenience of everything supplied at the property. From kitchen appliances, bbq outside and coffee and tea varieties to the toiletries there was a lot more choice and value for money. The toiletries were especially handy as a female traveller there’s always some item we forget and they had all of the basics covered. The gardens are so serene and beautiful it feels like a true retreat to stay here and would love to visit again.

The only thing I disliked was the smell of chicken manure in the bathroom/bedroom area of the cottage. I’m unsure what was causing it but seemed like maybe the floor drain in the bathroom.

The location of this property was in a more convenient place than I realised. It's literally a 3-minute walk from the main street of Hahndorf, with a lovely little cafe at the end of the road, making breakfast and coffee extremely easy to access. The accommodation itself had everything we needed. The bed was comfy, which is always important. The view from the bedroom balcony is lovely, and it was nice to watch the fog roll out in the mornings. The kitchen had everything you would ever need if you were looking to cook your own meals whilst staying. The bathroom had the added touches of a towel heating rack, make-up remover wipes, and a hair dryer, which i felt was a convenient touch. I also loved that the towels were a great size and NOT white! 🤣 All in all, we loved our stay here and would definitely come back and stay again.

It could do with a little more up dating and some maintenance. Paying a bit more attention to detail can make all the difference, for example, cleaning the windows, presentation, etc, but none of that impacted our stay. If I could have changed anything, it would have been to have a warmer, thicker quilt that fit in the quilt cover, so I wasn't chasing warmth during the night. However, I just turned the heating on.

Very comfortable & clean & absolutely everything you could need was provided. The owner fully explained everything to us when we arrived. The bed was really comfortable & had an electric blanket for the chilly nights. A very easy walk into all the action of Hahndorf. Lovely gardens surrounded the property & we had visits from many birds Everything was fantastic & the owner had obviously put a lot of thought into making our stay as comfortable as possible

This was a great place to stay in a beautiful part of the Adelaide Hills. It was an easy walk to the main town centre which had a number of wonderful restaurants and shops. The german heritage is very evident and is a very picturesque area. There are several wineries nearby. The room was upstairs and we were delighted with the number of birds - cockatoos, parrots, galahs etc. that gathered below our balcony in the morning and evenings. The room is spacious with a separate bedroom and is beautifully styled with all the amenities we required. The hosts are lovely and provided very helpful information on the surrounding area. We loved our stay here. Highly recommended.

Amble Over was excellent.... spacious, clean and with beautiful views - horses, birds and the surrounding hills. The location is excellent for the town of Hahndorf, literally 2 mins down the road into the main street. The apartment itself is spacious, airy and contains absolutely everything you could need; all well signed too. The attention to detail right from check in to departure was faultless. Highly recommended.

Nice and clean, communication with Vanessa was great, very friendly hosts. Loved all the notes regarding controls, I especially loved the extra touch for those of us who wear makeup…with supplied makeup remover wipes and nice Garnier makeup remover, lovely Davroe shampoo and conditioner to use also. Easy walk into town for dinner. The information pack was very useful and seemed to cover everything from what to do and what to eat! We would Definitely stay here again. Thanks A & M

Great location and easy to travel to by car. Super ground floor apartment with outdoor veranda overlooking the beautiful garden. Large comfy bed, indoor dining and lounge area for cooler days or personal seating area on veranda. Hot shower and spa bath in the property with toiletries provided. Well-equipped kitchen area for self-catering and supermarket within easy walking distance for home cooking or several restaurants nearby. Friendly hosts who provided nice personal touches e.g tea, coffee, milk & emergency toiletries. Very quiet area and great fun to watch the many different birds that visited the garden to feed.

No comment, we liked everything. Another guest mentioned that a fly screen would be useful then the front door could be left open but this wasn’t an issue for us - the air conditioning kept the indoor space at a very nice temperature.

Excellent location near Hahndorf town (walking distance) that retains a feeling of relaxing seclusion. Lots of wildlife to watch, particularly the birds. Bird seed is provided and you'll have cockatoos and parrots visiting if you put it out on the balcony. The hosts were excellent and really went out of their way to ensure every detail had been accounted for. Highly recommend.

The whole process from confirmation to check-in to check-out went very smoothly. Vanessa and Jaime were great hosts with friendly service without fuss. Just lovely to deal with and made our stay so relaxing. We were looking for a quiet getaway to chill out and explore the region, and got it in spades. Everything in the cottage was logically laid out and clean. It had everything we needed and more. Next time we'll stay a few days longer!

Nothing to complain about. We were unlucky with the wet weather during our stay so didn't get to enjoy the beautiful gardens around the property.
