I enjoyed windows that actually opened and the balcony was a great outlook There was a large table in my room which assisted me (I am a writer) to stay focused and comfortable and spread out my stuff Pool looked excellent although I forgot to bring my bathers

Seems to be some sort of plumbing issue between my room (24) and room 22. Every tap turn or shower etc was incredibly noisy - my neighbours came home at 2 am and all three of them decided to take long showers - very hard to sleep as pipes were screaming. Need to have a restaurant on site - and a bar - the facilities are all there but restaurant only open two days for a couple of hours for tapas - that needs updating. Not all the channels were available on the digital TV - would have liked a few more. Bed moved around too much - did not stay secured to wall - otherwise was comfy.

It was clean and comfortable for a one night stay. The room and ensuite were a generous size with dual aspect windows and plenty of bench/storage space. The bed was comfortable.

Would've been nice to have a breakfast option at the restaurant on site. The blinds let in a lot of light in the morning so better block out curtains would be welcome. It was strange that there wasn't a light in the centre of the room although the lamp was sufficient. It was a bit annoying that we couldn't park right out the front of our room due to other cars taking up the space and had to park further down. Also, someone decided to hold a loud and lengthy conversation right outside our door before 8am on a Sunday morning when I was looking forward to a sleep in! I think we just lucked out with inconsiderate neighbours!

The rooms are very modern and clean. Cleaning staff we spoke to was very helpful when we arrived. Outside not so modern but that doesn't impact on stay. Room 27 could do with some maintenance as the tiles in bathroom have a few coming off the wall. We were able to check in place our luggage (particularly an expensive C-pap machine).

We arrived on a Sunday but noone was in office nor answered the phone at the door. When I spoke to Andrea the day before she had said we would be able to check in and leave the machine there for security). That's why we were so grateful to the housekeeping lady. One last thing, we came in from Seppeltsfeld direction and would love to see some signage at the gate. We drove straight past! Overall it is a nice place that I will recommend to others and hopefully stay again next year for concert. Thankyou.

Restaurant event/Chateau/Bikes/

A suggestion really to have solar lights down the pathways leading to restaurant and Chateau/entrances (this provides guidance for those walking and can look pretty) - walking back in the dark from restaurant to Merlot house was very very dark. Also to ensure the price of a bottle of wine is known to the customer before corking (A lovely bottle of wine but way past my budget)

The Customer Service by the lady on reception Saturday and the Cleaner was above and beyond. We arrived early and were allowed to put our luggage in the room even though it wasn't ready. We also didn't have time to blow-up a mattress as we had to leave for a festival, but the Cleaner offered to do it for us. It was such a lovely gesture and we appreciated her assistance and offer. Barely anyone does anything nice for anyone anymore, but both these experiences made me believe Customer Service is still alive and kicking - thank you!

Rooms are slightly dated, but they have a super cosy feel.

Lady in Restaurant was lovely. Loved the view, the peace, the garden and close proximity to Lyndoch and other towns including Kaiser Stuhl Conservation Park. Loved the bathroom. So easy. Receptionist bought me a microwave. Great.

I really haven't much to complain about. Toothbrush and toothpaste, I don't like liquid soap either, needs shower cap as well. If I knew these things weren't going to be there ok but I'm used to Motels having them for that price. Fried food?? I don't usually eat it. An update of menu and weekends open would be good. Covid maybe. Gradually get there hopefully. Beds and pillows. May need an update but OK.

Room was clean and comfortable. Dining room attendant was exceptional, always willing to assist with a smile. Breakfast tray on a day when kitchen was not open was a nice touch.

Obviously business is cash strapped. Building in need of a major paint etc to give it a fresh appearance. Garden is overgrown and needs major clean up. Pity because the position is great and facilities perfect as a convention center or wedding function.

Excellent customer service from Cassie and her team. She helped me with late check-in and finding lost property. The hotel has a beautiful rose garden and a gift shop. You can easily travel by bike or by calling the Barossa Taxis 0411 150 850.

You need to bring your own tooth brush and tooth paste. But maybe I couldn't find it because I was too drunk.

Rooms were ready on time and staff were very friendly and helpful. Gardens and surrounds were beautiful. Although the rooms are a little bit "dated" they were very clean and tidy. It was a great location for our trip to the Medieval Fair.

A few little things like air-cons and TVs being difficult, but the staff did come promptly to assist. An extra key per room would have been helpful to help with the comings and goings. Perhaps a toaster and or microwave in the rooms to help with breakfasts. All in all a great little spot and I would love to come again.

Beautiful rose gardens, prolific bird life, spacious room with amazing water pressure. Lovely local cafe/wine bar called The Table 2 minutes up the road for dinner if the restaurant is closed. Great starting point to explore Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills.

It's heyday was a couple of decades ago, so it needs a bit of TLC, but it was perfect for our needs.
