For a six-night stay in the Garden Bungalow amongst manicured hedges and roses, we were greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine, chocolates, cookies and port in an immaculate room with soft music playing! The bathroom was huge, boasting a walk-in shower, bath, two sinks and a thoughtful design to accommodate the elderly or disabled. Breakfast was ample in the beautiful dining room of the heritage manor, where we enjoyed chats with other guests at a long antique dining table. Kathy attended to our every need, including a load of clothes washing and drying while we were out enjoying Hobart. Robert, the property manager, was available instantly online for any queries.

The accommodation was lovely, good size room, luxurious bathtub, amazingly comfortable bed. The breakfast was packed with fresh produce and was delicious! I walked into the city each day and it took about 25mins. Go via Battery Point for coffee at Kombi and the worlds best Italian at Da Angelo. There is also a bus right outside the front door that will get you to the city for $3.50. Easy check in and friendly staff.
The blinds let in a lot of light and despite others saying otherwise in the reviews, I personally could hear the road noise from my room. Don't let it put you off though, it is a lovely place to stay. Even being a highly sensitive sleeper I would recommend!

The room was spacious, comfortable with good views. The interior/exterior are beautiful and very Faulty Towers likeness. Breakfast OK but would have liked more cereal selection. Bed and pillows were so good and the bath and shower excellent. Breakfast in the large dining room around a large square table encouraged conversation with other guests. Good value for money.
A microwave and/or a toaster in the room would make this a 10/10 property. Not sure why a small microwave couldn't be provided.

Stayed for 1 night after spending 6 days hiking the Western Arthurs Traverse. Booked very last minute after not having signal all day and was a bit worried we wouldn't be able to access the property if we booked late at night on booking.com. But actually the check in process was easy and the manager gave us a call too. Ample parking. Couldn't have been happier walk into the lovely room. Bathroom was gorgeous, loved the roll-top bath. Bed was so comfortable with gorgeous linens.... was a welcome change to sleeping on our camp mats! The lady serving breakfast was lovely and offered to bring us coffee up to our room. Yummy breakfast at a beautiful table setting. Wish we could have stayed longer!

This is a curious place, basically an old detached house facing a major road into the city. But the way it has been fitted out and the way it is run makes it a joy to stay there. You quickly feel like it is your home, where you can make yourself a pot of tea and go and drink it in the garden, watching the cricket match on the field next door. Rooms are full of luxury touches, bed and shower were both perfect. Breakfast is excellent and very sociable round one long table.
Road noise if staying in rooms at the front. It is not a problem late at night but it is a busy road and the windows are single glazed presumably for conservation reasons. Faces a petrol station which isn’t very attractive but has a 24 hour shop if you want an ice cream late at night.

Absolutely beautiful B&B in Hobart. Spotless rooms, with nice furniture and comfy bedding. Bathroom very stylish. Ample parking. A delicious breakfast at a communal table was a great add-on; staff at breakfast very efficient and attentive. We did not meet any other staff; check-in and -out was done through messages and a key box; worked for us.
We really liked the place. But we felt that it was a bit too far out from the heart of Hobart. We do enjoy walking, but walking along a main artery or through the Battery Point neighborhood to the city takes half an hour each way.

Denise was a wonderful host and the property is terrific. The room itself was great - a lovely feeling of old-world charm with all the mod-cons you need. The bed was exceptional - probably the best I've slept on in my life. The bathroom was excellent - great shower, plenty of hot water, lovely toiletries. Breakfast around a huge dining table with fellow guests was a wonderful way to start each morning. Location was perfect - we had a rental car (no problems with parking on site) and used The Rivulet for our base to explore from for 8 nights. It's maybe a $10 Uber to Salamanca and you can walk to the Sandy Bay shopping precinct in 10 minutes if you like.

From arrival to departure, it was easy, comfortable and homely. The best B&B by far that I have stayed in. The breakfast included was scrumptious and the staff were lovely, considerate and eager to ensure you were happy and had all that you needed. The bed was super comfortable and the fast heating electric blanket was perfect for arriving home late on a chilly Tasmanian night. If you don't mind a stroll and one steep hill, I recommend the beach front walk to Salamanca Markets. Thank you so much, I will definitely return.
I couldn't fault anything.

Staff were great! We mainly dealt with Nadina & Denise, they were wonderful. Pillow and bed were amazing. Chatting around the breakfast table was a delight. A lovely stay in a beautiful building, would do it again in a heart beat!
We felt a small bar fridge in the room would’ve been ideal, some of our things went “missing” from the communal fridge, no drama, just easier if you have access in your own room. Bathroom in our room no7 was a wee bit too cosy.

We had room #4 which looked out over the back of the property and to Mt. Wellington. This meant we had beautiful views and we heard no traffic from the busy road out front. The rooms were well insulated and could not hear anyone in the adjacent room. Minor problem with the plumbing though - when someone ran water in their room, the pipes were very noisy- fortunately we were awake. Room was very clean and spacious. Nice touch having port in the evening and cookies, tea, coffee at other times.
I enjoyed the breakfast but my husband did not think there was a great choice as he didn’t feel like eating quiche, salmon, ham, cheese, etc. for breakfast. He stuck to toast, croissant (a little dry) and muesli. Older people may have a problem climbing stairs and carrying luggage. If you’re a light sleeper, I’d advise avoiding Room 1 at the front door.
